It was a depressing day, after the tournament was over.
Team RWBY and especially team [J]NPR were feeling terrible. Their former brother, leader, crush [Ruby and Pyrrha] and friend had betrayed them. Jaune had punched Weiss in the face with no emotion. He didn't even bother explaining why as he had left. Nobody had heard from him since.
Ozpin had to make an announcement as it was to address the elephant in the room.
Before Ozpin could say anything a projector showed a black screen behind Ozpin.
The students, teachers, Qrow, James, and Ozpin himself were confused about why this was there.
Meanwhile in the background, Cinder and her partner who had a bruise on her face Emerald watched in interest. Their plan had failed as Jaune's betrayal had haltered Cinder's plan.
The screen suddenly showed color and they saw something weird. The screen showed a bar that looked pretty normal. It would be normal if you ignored the odd characters. They saw a man with giant burn marks, A Fanhaus lizard, A man who had multiple hands around him, A black mist with yellow eyes, A masked man who wore black and white, A man with a yellow coat and a magician hat with a white mask, and a woman with crazy looking eyes with blonde hair with two hair buns. Before anyone could speak up to the people watching, a figure entered the frame.
It was Jaune and a white-haired figure in the background sitting next to the scarred man. Cinder and Emerald, however, knew that figure to be Mercury.
"You want me to explain why I attacked Weiss Schnee?" Jaune's face then showed amusement.
"You ever ask an alcoholic why they were sick? What was wrong with them? Or why did they go to rehab? The probably said to heal, to get better."
The screen then showed Jaune punching Weiss from the tournament.
"What I did during that tournament, was exactly that."
When the screen showed Jaune once more, he had a sickening smile along with Mercury in the background.
"I was SICK, I had a disease. I needed to get rid of it."
It then showed clips of Weiss calling Jaune a dunce, Jaune getting bullied by Cinder, and nobody on Team RWBY doing anything to stop it.
The screen then showed footage of Mercury with Emerald and Cinder who were mocking him despite them working together.
Suddenly, it outputs a dark ominous voice.
"You know what you have to do, YOU KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO JAUNE, FOR ME MERCURY, DO IT FOR ME JAUNE. FOR ME!"
"I AM THE ANTI-GODS OF BEACON" Jaune yelled at the camera, then Mercury finally said something.
"IT'S TIME FOR COMBAT, IT'S TIME FOR REDEMPTION!" Mercury yelled in pride.
"About 6-7 months ago, I was made team leader of JNPR. As great as that was, TONIGHT WAS EVEN BETTER!"
Jaune chuckled again.
"Because tonight wasn't somebody else joining a team, when I tightened my beautiful fist and hit it on Weiss's head, that, was Jaune Arc becoming the true Leader.
