OH MY GOD AT THE FINALE PROMO. I CANNOT DEAL!!! Wow. I'm so intrigued to see what happens because as we know, Olivia has never been shot before, and now, the very person that would take a bullet for her is right beside her! This is my take on what could happen during this episode.

"Is that a shotgun!?" She heard someone yell. Next thing she knew, there were shots being fired, and Elliot was shouting at her to get down. Olivia heard what he said, but somehow, her body didn't react. All she did was flinch and look up, her doe eyes wide and filled with fear. She was yet again looking down the barrel of a gun, just ten years later after dealing with it once. This time, it was no simple handgun. It was in fact, a shotgun. She could see Elliot out of her peripheral vision motioning for her to get down, but she couldn't do it. She wasn't going to let him take any more lives. She went for her gun.

"Freeze!" She shouted as she drew her weapon, but her hands were shaking so bad that she just wasn't quick enough. She watched as the boy cocked the shotgun and fired, and everything around her started to sound like ringing. She felt herself falling backwards. She's been shot. What about Noah? What about Elliot? She couldn't protect him being shot, but she couldn't move either. Oh, God. This pain is almost as bad as-

"OLIVIA!" She heard Elliot somewhere through the ringing in her ears but she just couldn't respond. All of her breath was gone, and all she could feel was the searing pain of a bullet through her abdomen. If this is how she went, who would take care of her son? She heard the vague sound of what seemed like hundreds of bullets being fired, and then someone falling beside her. Someone covering her. But just as soon as they were there, they were gone.

"I'm hit." She gasped through the pain. All she could feel herself doing was laboring her breathing. Next thing she knew, she could make out Elliot's silhouette hovering her, checking her body to find the wound.

"10-13 OFFICER DOWN. SOMEONE CALL A DAMN AMBULANCE NOW!" She could feel the fear radiating off of him as he took his jacket and placed it over her wound. He took her hand in his, but all she could feel was the sensation of his hand grasping hers and the other placing itself on the jacket to stop the bleeding and-

"El," she rasped. Oh God. So this is what it felt like to be shot? The ringing in her ears died down as she opened her eyes fully to see the chaos that had ensued what felt like ages ago, but it had only been mere minutes. She saw the fear pooled in Elliot's eyes. She was sure her eyes held the same. She gripped his hand tighter as another officer ran over to them. She could see Elliot's lips moving, but she couldn't hear him. Why couldn't she hear him? All she could hear was the sound of her heart beating.

"She's Captain of Special Victims Unit. I don't care who you have to call, but get a damn medic now. WE'RE LOSING HER!" Elliot's faced her again, and she saw the tears swimming in them. She wanted to reach up and swipe them away, but she could feel her strength leaving her body.

"Liv, don't try to talk or or move or anything, okay? You've been shot, and it's okay. We're gonna get you some help. I'm not letting you die today," Elliot sounded so far away now, but she heard him, and she nodded.

"Noah?" She gasped. This pain was insufferable. She kept reminding herself of what she's already overcome, survived. If she could survive a four day dance with the devil and game of Russian Roulette with him, she could survive a damn gunshot wound.

But it's not just a gunshot wound. It's from a shotgun she reminded herself.

"We're gonna call and get him to the hospital, I promise you," he just kept talking, and she was getting tired.

"El," she gasped again. Oh this was not fun at all. "Tell my son"-gasp-"I love him, okay?" She was scared now. She was so scared that she was dying when she saw the medics running towards her, rushing past a body, the man they'd been hunting.

"Shhh, Liv, don't try to talk. You can tell him yourself when you're better," Elliot kept assuring her. But as soon as his calming voice hushed, she heard the medics.

"She's losing too much blood. We've got to move, NOW!" She felt Elliot right beside her.

"I love you, Elliot. Thank you," she whispered. The tears in her eyes were streaming down her face. Elliot's tears finally started falling. He grasped her hands tighter as they loaded Olivia into the ambulance.

"I love you, Liv."

Silence filled the waiting room as everyone sat around looking at each other, but Fin was watching Elliot. Elliot with blood on his clothes, his hands. Liv's blood. Muncy was with Velasco and Churlish, and Bruno was talking to some other cops. McGrath was sitting beside him. No one was talking to Elliot. He just looked... lost.

"How in the hell did this happen, Sergeant Tutuola?" McGrath was giving him the earful, even though he's the one that talked to the US Attorney and had Benson and Stabler benched. He's partially the reason they are out here waiting for something, anything to be said about their beloved captain.

"Chief, look. I wasn't there. Stabler was. From what I've heard, everything was by the book, only the captain just wasn't quick enough. It happens. She'll be okay," he felt himself telling McGrath the last part and not truly believing it until a doctor came out to tell him otherwise. Fin's gaze fell back to Elliot, the man seemingly lost in his own little world.

So much blood.

Elliot stared at the blood on his hands. He remembered telling Olivia to get down and even trying to make her, but she had this look, the look, in her eyes. She wasn't backing down. And while he admired her for her courage, he was so pissed that she hadn't listened to him. But she could take care of herself. She knew how to. She was fierce, determined, independent...

If he lost her because of that psychopath lying in the morgue, he wasn't responsible for the actions afterwards. He'd already lost Kathy; He couldn't survive losing Liv. She's strong, he told himself. She had a lot to fight for to survive. Noah was her pride and joy, and she lived and breathed her job. She loved him, she loved Elliot. She had a whole mirage of friends to support her when she got out... if she gets out.

Oh, God. He can't erase the image of her bleeding through her shirt. He can't stop seeing her falling down, her gun flying out of her hand. He'd thrown himself in front of her before the guy could get another shot. After that, Elliot unloaded his gun wherever he could on that bastard, but he wasn't shooting Olivia again. He wasn't sure that he'd ever get the image of the fear pooling in her eyes as she watched him. He didn't know if he could ever survive this life without Olivia. What about Noah?

He wasn't even sure he could place that call. Who would Noah be with if something happened to Olivia? Fin and Phoebe? Amanda and Sonny? Him? He couldn't think this way because Olivia was going to pull through. She had to. He hadn't had a chance to love her properly. To tell her why he really left. They haven't had the chance to talk about the past. What happened to her. What this was between them now that they'd obliterated the friends, for now boundary. Well, he had obliterated it. She'd taken tiny steps towards it.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a nurse approaching them. His gaze shifted upwards, and his heart pummeled in his chest. He hated that he knew this feeling of fear all too well. He wasn't sure what the doctor was about to say, but he was praying right at that moment that she was alive. That his Olivia was breathing.

"The family of Olivia Benson?" He stood up and made his way to the nurse quickly. Fin and McGrath stood as well and made their way to the nurse. She sighed as she pulled of her cap, and Elliot swore that she had hesitated.

"We did everything we could."

And just like that, Elliot felt his heart break in half.
