That night, Ben was waiting in the town center for Bill and the others to show up and was shocked by what he was already seeing.
"I can't believe it, there are wolves all over the place," said Ben as he noticed a pack run by while another was sitting outside a house seeming to have a discussion.
"A lot to take in, right?" came Bill's voice from behind him.
"Well I'll be," said Ben as he turned to see six wolves walking toward him.
"You all truly can turn into wolves," he said.
"That we can, and I apologize for meeting you for the first time like this but these two insisted that we do things like this," said Moll.
"It's alright, um, what's your name?" asked Ben.
"Moll, and these are your new niece and nephew, Mebh and Jack," said Moll while introducing him to the two smaller wolves.
"Nice to meet you, uncle Ben," said Jack who was all smiles and excitedly bouncing around his mom's feet.
"You too," said Ben while returning the smile.
"And I believe that we met earlier today," he said while turning to Mebh.
"We did, and I apologize for running off but Robyn was scared after meeting you and I wanted to make sure she was alright," said Mebh.
"You have nothing to apologize for, I can understand her fear and your want to protect her, which I must thank you for," said Ben.
"Now then, what about this little one?" he asked while kneeling down to be at eye level with Kelly who was a little smaller than Jack.
"My name is Kelly," said Kelly.
"Mebh and I adopted her a few months ago," said Robyn.
"Her parents died while out hunting one day, we were close to them so we decided to take her in and raise her ourselves," said Mebh.
"That was really big of you two, not many would do that even in the human world," said Ben.
"Can Kelly and I go play?" asked Jack as he looked up at his parents.
"Sure, just stay where you can hear us," said Bill with a chuckle.
"Right," said the kids before taking off for a nearby flower bed. The others also moved so that they could sit somewhere and keep an eye on them.
