It remained a warm spring afternoon in the world of Medierth. An abundance of rejuvenating sunlight and adorable birds glided in the gentle breeze, singing merrily. Nevertheless, the omnipotent Planars had perceived the mortal universe remained vitally in need of a reprieve. Moreover, they considered the magnitude of recent catastrophes that ravaged their lands.

A gentleman with fetching, rugged features sat on the gravel steps of an incinerated house of prayer. His name was Eredric, and he'd been an associate of this prodigious place of worship. He'd been a Cathar, with soldiers/priests formed to pursue and eradicate werewolves specifically. It'd been a noble profession. However, whether one is a warrior, or man of the cloth, or a combination of the two?

They should strive to act with genuine honor. It was essential to learn humility as well. Unfortunately, countless individuals in Medierth didn't grasp integrity, modesty, or how to value life and live.

However, the same could be said regarding the Planars. Despite being omnipotent deities? They were as 'human' as anyone else. Prone to the same missteps, regrets, and dreams of all who hailed this unimaginable world home. Whether you be human, Planar, or some other creature? We all struggle to learn from our mistakes. To learn to live in love and demonstrate empathy. No one ever ceases learning, as life and time are the only trustworthy teachers.

Either way, the young man's rugged features seemed despondent. He raised the last of his firewater to the Church before downing it like a shot. "Well, this is goodbye, old friend. It would be best to go your way, and I shall go mine. Who knows what the world has to offer me? Whatever there may be out there waiting for me?

Whether its mysticism, fate, or any other uncertainty? I need to go out there and witness them for myself. Discover who I am inside. So farewell, old friend!" with that, the ex-Cathar picked up a rucksack before heading down the dusty pathway. Eredric meandered for a long time, getting by with the occasional bodyguard-for-hire. He encountered numerous intriguing individuals, yet he never felt he'd found his purpose.

A reason to discontinue wandering and plant some roots; not one location he visited in their vast world ever felt like home. After more then three years of this nomadic lifestyle, he ultimately discovered a reason to settle down.

He'd been assigned to guard a lady whose magnificence could only be challenged by the Planar of the Moon! Striking emerald eyes and hair as gold as the shimmering sun! Her name was Ailyn, and her specialization was being a wayfaring apothecary. He hadn't ever encountered a more thoughtful woman. Truthfully for him? It was love at first sight.

She became the reason he woke up every morning. His purpose in life was to be with her, and she with him. Neither had felt like they genuinely belonged until they found each other. Their first date had been a picnic by Warm Creek, and he'd given her a gorgeous white lotus. She told him the modest gift was the most extraordinary gift she'd been bestowed.

That evening they enjoyed stargazing as the twinkling diamonds overhead sparkled playfully in the inky blue heavens. Their hearts always beat quicker whenever they gazed upon the twilight skies. It was almost like they were drawn to the stars as if they were somehow woven together in a bizarre destiny.

Eventually, the couple wedded and departed Gleamsalt, beginning the long trek to Ravenhold. While they say its the journey, not the detestation, that matters? No one told them there would be heartbreak along their travels. Before they'd left, Ailyn had become with child. She'd done everything she could possible to have a healthy newborn.

However, when she ultimately went into labor? Her heart shattered as her soul splintered as well. And for their firstborn had been stillborn. They'd never know why the Planars had dealt them such a cruel blow. However, as they often say? The heavens' plans are a mystery; we shall all play our parts, even in ways we'd never anticipate. This couple had been chosen for an exceptional destiny.

They're selected to be the parents of a young baby girl named Karyana, whose future would transform their world and beyond. So with the loss of one life came another. May your wishes come true, and may only love find you. Remember to live life to the fullest and cherish each day. Take pleasure in simple things. And remember, pain is a part of life. Miracles happen every day. They can be big or small, all at once or slow-growing. Either way? Life is meant to be lived, and we're told to leave more love in the world than when we came into it.
