Happy Birthday, Yurixthewanderer!

In the concealed mystical city of Citadel, a captivating copper-haired young woman named Valara Merid stood in her small kitchen baking bread. She hummed quietly while working, occasionally glancing at her young son Demyan. Like most seven-year-old lads, her son got into multiple shenanigans. Today, however, he seemed perfectly content sitting at the kitchen table and reading an old book from the city's library.

Demyan was reading up on the Planer of the Moon, Asuna. His mother loved telling him the fascinating tales regarding the Planers and their extraordinary adventures as he fell asleep. She seemed to favor Asuna's stories the best. She returned her focus to kneading the bread before her. Her enormous stunning coppery eyes peeked outside and witnessed a violent storm brewing. Unexpectedly her young son spoke up, "Mommy?"

She quickly turned to face her attractive young son, "Yes, my child? Is something the matter?" she questioned as calmly as she could. She didn't want her child to know she was anxious regarding the impending thunderstorm.

"When is Daddy coming home? He promised he help me with learning to sculpt with clay. But he's not home yet," the little boy asked curiously. He looked incredibly discouraged that his father wasn't home yet. Demyan didn't have a lot of friends but had an extremely close bond with his parents.

Valara twisted a towel in her hands. She was still trying to figure out how to answer her son's question. So she instead said, "I'm sure there is nothing to fret about, my darling. Why don't you get cleaned up for dinner? I'm confident he'll be home by the time dinner is on the table," his mother suggested kindly. The gorgeous little boy nodded and scampered out of the room. Valara allowed herself to breathe once more. She then tried to return to making the bread but could not. "Please, Felix, please come home," she whispered fearfully.

The winds were starting to pick up outside, only making the young mother increasingly edgy. Still, she attempted to focus on getting dinner on the table. Tonight she'd prepared glazed ham, fluffy mashed potatoes, and a large salad. She'd even baked a cherry pie for dessert, her husband's favorite. When Demyan returned, he found dinner ready, but his father still wasn't home. He ultimately witnessed the nasty weather outside the kitchen window. "Mommy?" the young boy whimpered.

"Yes, honey?" as she looked up from setting the table.

"Is Daddy safe?" Demyan asked worriedly. Unquestionably, he was starting to get as terrified as his mother. His mother wrapped him in loving arms to soothe him and calm them down.

"He'll be home shortly. Don't worry, my precious. He'll be back before the thunderstorm hits. We'll wait a little longer before having supper. After all, suppertime is family time." Valara reminded her son gently. Still, you could hear her comforting voice crack with undeniable fear. Undoubtedly, they hadn't had this type of weather in a while, and now it was putting them both on edge.

They waited for half an hour for Felix. Then just as the first crack of thunder was heard, the front door to their small cottage opened. An affectionate voice called from the living room, "Val? Demyan? Are you alright?" His wife and child rushed over to him. Fear glazed over both their eyes, and he hugged them tightly. "Please don't terrify me like that again," Valara scolded her devoted husband.

The attractive, kindhearted guard gave her an apologetic smile. Citadel didn't typically have raging weather. So whenever a violent storm invaded the enchanted city, everyone started to panic a little. "I'm sorry, my love. One of the sentries fell unexpectedly ill, and I had to fill in for him till his replacement arrived. I didn't mean to scare you or Demyan. Give me a few minutes to freshen up, and we can have supper, alright?"

"Okay, but again don't scare me like that. This is the first storm of the year. Also, judging from the sound, it will be one of the worst the city's endured."

"I promise," as he kissed his gorgeous spouse. Ten minutes later, the small loving clan was happily eating dinner and enjoying each other company. Despite the raging storm outside their home, they felt warm and safe inside their small cottage.

After putting their son to bed, Felix slowly approached his wife. "I've something for you. Consider it an early anniversary gift," seeing how their anniversary was that weekend. She gingerly took a small blue velvet box from him and gasped at its contents. A glittering pair of diamond earrings and a gold necklace encrusted with garnet, moonstone, and rose quartz lay within the box.

"Oh, it's so beautiful! Thank you, Felix!" She jumped into his arms and kissed him passionately. Felix held his beloved wife closely. If one knew anything about the mystical proprieties of those gemstones, they know they're excellent for a loving and prosperous marriage. What better gift could you ask for on your wedding anniversary? All was well with the small family.
