It was just an average day in Chaldea, nothing was particularly out of place and no Servant was doing anything out of the ordinary. This small fact would change dramatically as the day turned from your average day into one of the most chaotic days that Chaldea would ever see, all thanks to one simple summon that was just about to occur.
Ritsuka Fujimaru, also known as the last master of humanity was currently in Chaldea's summoning room. He had dropped by earlier in the day to try his luck at summoning a new servant, but so far it was proving rather unfortunate. His face displayed a look of pure disappointment as he used up the last of his accumulated saint quartz for one last summon.
"Last one, this time for sure! There's no way that it can end like this, right? Either way, I can only hope for the best."
Ritsuka spoke to himself, as the alter lit up before revealing the rather familiar blue orbs rising upwards. They split into three layers before beginning to spin around at speeds so fast the electricity accumulating began to surround the blue orbs as they closed in on one another. It took a second but mere moments later a silver card appeared with a knight being displayed, both of its hands firmly gripped onto it's sword. It stayed like this for five seconds before it began to shimmer with a golden light as the cards former silver color disappeared revealing a shining golden color. A few seconds afterwards the remaining light disappeared before the card itself disappeared to reveal a boy who looked no older than Ritsuka himself.
The boy had red auburn colored hair, a pair of golden brown eyes that seemed to shine in the light of the room and was rather muscular in build. His facial features indicated that he was most certainly of Japanese descent making Ritsuka wonder who exactly was this guy? He was wearing a white kimono over his body paired with this he was wearing a pair of black trousers with a white ribbon-like band wrapped around his waist tied at the front. Over the boy's left arm was a red and black shroud displayed upon it were a few markings that didn't do much other than make the shroud look cool. At his side was a katana; it was sheathed in a thin black sheath that wrapped around the katana's blade perfectly.
"Saber-Class Servant: Shirou Emiya, I appear before you after answering your call. I am the pseudo servant vessel for Sengo Muramasa, The Demonic Blacksmith. We will do our best to serve you but I must ask, are you my master?"
The red-haired male spoke, stating that he was no ordinary servant; he was a Pseudo-Servant, making him one of the very few people to appear in Chaldea with such a title.
"O-Oh right. Yes, I am your Master, my name is Ritsuka Fujimaru. Welcome to Chaldea, Shirou."
Ritsuka replied with a smile on his face, he was elated that someone had finally answered his summons, but he was met with confusion from Shirou's part after hearing what he had just said.
"Chaldea? What's that? Sounds like some company," Shirou asked, but Ritsuka was prepared for that response; after all, that's how most people reacted. He took a moment to explain.
"Chaldea is an organization that is striving to keep humanity alive, and we are allied with many different servants, so you don't have to worry about being the only servant around here. So how about it? Do you want to help me prevent the extinction of humanity?"
Ritsuka asked as he continued to smile before holding his arm out for a handshake, which Shirou took no more than a second to accept and return.
"To save humanity, I would be happy to assist you, Master. I hope our partnership brings good fortune to all those who are in danger."
Shirou smiled as Ritsuka responded to his declaration with a nod; he could tell that Shirou was a good person just by the way he acted - he was polite and somewhat formal towards Ritsuka himself, but he didn't mind it. After a few minutes, Ritsuka finally decided that he should give Shirou a bit of a tour around Chaldea. Motioning for Shirou to follow him, he exited the room with Shirou following behind him. He was somewhat excited to see where this partnership of theirs would lead them, but for now, it was time for a tour.
Around half an hour later, Shirou and Ritsuka were currently walking towards the cafeteria as it was one of the last places they had to check out. Shirou had been told that a few other servants were almost always located in the cafeteria purely based on their appetites, but Ritsuka had neglected to mention just who they were. That simple mistake would lead to a rather unexpected reunion of multiple servants all at once.
"Here we are, this Shirou is our cafeteria we have all sorts of food here if you want to go grab some just go ask Archer." As Ritsuka was speaking a loud bang came from the door leading into the kitchen startling both Shirou and Ritsuka. Turning to the location in which the bang came from they spotted a rather familiar white haired Archer.
"How the hell did you get here! You aren't supposed to be here damnit! What do you think your doing?!" Archer shouted as he pointed at Shirou. This was a rather weird situation to get caught up in after all Shirou had just been summoned and wasn't expecting to see the familiar face of Archer.
"Hey Archer, what are you screaming about? He's Chaldea's newest servant, with how you're acting I assume you two know each other?" Ritsuka asked as he scratched the side of his cheek before turning to Shirou to see what he would say.
"It's good to see you again Archer, it looks like you've been doing well. Mind if I ask why you're screaming? Is it surprising to see an old friend again?" Shirou asked in a curious tone, he was happy to see Archer again after all it had been an extremely long time since he last saw Archer. They were once enemies in the Holy Grail War but that no longer mattered as they were once again fighting on the same side.
"Why did you have to show up now of all times? It's about time for the lunch rush so either get some food and sit down or leave since they are about to get here," Archer said. As if on cue, the people he was referring to arrived. As evident by the audible groans from their stomachs as they approached.
The person who was speaking just seconds ago stopped in her tracks as she arrived, she had spotted him the red hair was a dead giveaway. The girl was that of Arturia Pendragon, King Of Knights, King Of Camelot and former servant to no other than Shirou Emiya himself.
"I-I'm not dreaming right? This can't be a dream right? You are real right?" Arturia asked, her eyes went wide she thought she was dreaming when she saw that red hair earlier. She didn't want it to be a dream but she had convinced herself she would never see him again after all he was smart he wouldn't end up like her would he? Of course he would. Shirou turned to Arturia after hearing her voice while approaching the cafeteria just moments ago, neither one of them spoke for a minute or so before the silence in the air was interrupted by Arturia taking two or so steps before getting close enough to Shirou to poke his cheeks. She wanted to pinch him originally but she couldn't do it she felt that if she did that he would hate her and that was something she couldn't possibly stomach.
"Arturia," Shirou stopped for a second before suddenly moving in to hug her. How long had it been since he last got to do this? Weeks? Months? Years? Centuries? He honestly wouldn't be able to tell you but he didn't really care either way as he was finally back with her. "How have you been? Have you been eating enough? Has anyone been giving you a hard time?" Shirou asked he was clearly somewhat worried about her after all this was the Woman he fell in love with back when he was still Human.
A Quick Author's Note: Alrighty I think that's where I'm going to leave this chapter off. I'm sorry if this was written terribly or felt somewhat rushed but this is my first time writing something like this so bear with me as I try get used to this. Anyway This story is heavily inspired by the works of two other authors on here those being AccelBreaker and Parcasious (Please check out their work it's great.)
Anyway I hope you enjoyed the first chapter. And yes before anyone asks the Main pairing for this story is obviously Shirou x Arturia (And possibly the other variants of her? I don't really know yet) other ships will appear as the story goes on along with different versions of the characters appearing (So Alters and stuff) along side a few made up versions of characters that don't have specific alter versions and stuff. And yes this is mainly a slice of life esque rp so mainly just a ton of dumb shit anyway that's all for now thanks for reading! -Ama
