In the realm, the Planars of Medierth called home, preparations for a party were underway. The celebration wasn't due to a holiday or special occasion such as a birthday or anniversary. Nope, the divine beings wanted to have a party for the sake of having a party. Even deities like to let their hair down and have fun occasionally.
Their leader, Progeny, the Planar of Creation, had chosen the masquerade ball celebration. The childlike leader loved the idea of spending the night pretending to be someone you're not. He even decided that each Planar would dress up as another for the masquerade. Everyone had used a button bag to randomly pick who they were supposed to be for the ball. Also, guessing who it was under the mask would be amusing, thanks partly to their magic.
Panyus, the Planar of Time and Prolectae, the Planar of Womanhood, Love, and Hearth, were setting up the garden for their magical evening. Asuna, the Planar of the Moon and the Starlit Sky, and Lupa, the Planar of the Sun and the Wilderness, set up the banquet table. Progeny ensured the others completed their everyday responsibilities so nothing would interfere with their fun tonight. The party was set to start at twilight. The women managed to get everything set up three hours beforehand.
That left them and everyone else enough time to conjure up their enchanted masks to wear. Soon everyone arrived at the party. However, the big question was who was who tonight. After all, everyone seemed to be there. Progeny, the Planar of Creation. Panyus, the Planar of Time. Prolectae, the Planar of Womanhood, Love and Hearth, Scyens, the Planar of Knowledge.
Raemu, the Planar of Justice and War. Xelnos, the Planar of Destruction, Asuna, the Planar of the Moon, and the Starlit Sky. Lupa, the Planar of the Sun and the Wilderness. Cunon, the Planar of the Hunt. Eligius, the Planar of Nature.
Everyone would be greatly surprised who was who by the end of the evening. First, they'd the most wonderful feast ever served in their realm. Then, surprisingly everyone minded their manners, behaving like proper ladies and gentlemen. Which generally didn't happen. However, for the sake of the party, everyone was on their best behavior. After the feast, they'd danced for an hour under the twinkling stars.
Taking a break from dancing, they played a few games, such as charades, cards, and twenty questions. They were just typical games that were supposed to help everyone figure out who was who. Following the games, everyone walked through the enchanted garden as the full moon rose to its peak. Then everyone's magical mask disappeared, revealing who was who tonight!
Their childlike leader Progeny been disguised as Raemu! While the Planar of Justice had been pretending to be the Planar of Knowledge, Scyens! The wise Planar Scyens had been the dreaded Xelnos! Xelnos hadn't been amused with who he'd been forced to be. Seeing how he'd been forced to be Prolectae, the Planar of Womanhood, Love, and Hearth!
Prolectae had been quite happy to swap places with Lupa, the Planar of the Sun, and the Wilderness! Lupa had transformed into Panyus, the Planar of Time! Meanwhile, Panyus had metamorphosed into Asuna! The beautiful Asuna had fooled everyone with her disguise of being Progeny! That meant the last two Cunon, the Planar of the Hunt, and Eligius, the Planar of Nature, had stolen the other identity for the evening. It had been quite a loving and entertaining evening, for sure!
