So, this book will just be me throwing my old projects that are currently discontinued that I don't think I'll ever do them again, but eh. Let's see how trash these stories are.
Sothus first throwaway was initially a collab story between me and my two homies, we made this late 2022 which is last year. But due to some shit, we mutually agreed to discontinue this idea. It was mainly a DxD and a MHA crossover story. You guys are going to read it, although I don't know if I want to continue anymore, but fuck it. Let's get it.
If only I could go back and change everything. If only I knew the signs, if only I hadn't trusted him. If only I had been able to stop him, I would still have my best friend by my side.
This is my biggest regret; I failed him and his family, and I especially failed the boy whom I was supposed to protect. If only things were different, maybe the boy would have had a happier life. I'm sorry.
It was an evening in the city of Tokyo, and the city was still active, people could be seen walking around the streets and the buildings were active and it could be seen by the lights. But now we are focusing on a building that around the entrance area, we can see a bar, and there was a closed sign in the door.
There were only three people in the bar, and we could see the Gremory crest symbol on the wall.
The bartender served the two other men. One man is average height with short spiky brown hair, with two short locks of hair behind his head, and light brown eyes. His name is Issei Hyoudou.
The other one had short white hair, red crimson eyes, and he had small pointy ears, and he had earrings. His name was Hisashi Midoriya.
While they looked like senior high school students, they were actually legal adults and they were both 24 years old; they were drinking beer together.
Both of them had a gloomy expression, especially Hisashi, and it was evident with the eye bags on his face. He looked ill, and there were dark veins around the right side of his body and they reached up to his cheek.
"It's been two years, huh?" Hisashi spoke weakly, then he took a sip of his beer.
"Yeah…Time flies really fast, nowadays," Issei said, looking down. When Hisashi looked at Issei, he saw his sad face, which was one of the rare moments that Hisashi had ever seen his sad face. So Hisashi couldn't help but to chuckle, which got Issei confused.
"Damn man, I'm not used to seeing you like this. It's like I'm seeing a different Issei than I remember. What's wrong man?" Hisashi said.
"I think you already know why man…I seriously don't know what to feel, when you only have two more years to live. I'm still not ready to lose you bro," Issei admitted his frustration.
"Oh… So knowing that your time is almost coming scares you," Hisashi said understandingly.
"Yeah…this is a lot to take in for me. The person who I knew since middle school and built a close bond with, the one who I considered a brother, is now sitting next to me with a limited time to live. All because of that fucker that betrayed us, I should've known the signs before it was too late. It should've been me dying, you don't deserve this pain. I'm just a good for nothing pervert," Issei said crying for a little bit and Hisashi heard what he had to say and he took a sip of his beer once again and sighed.
"You know Issei, if you were the one who was in my position, I would be feeling the same way as you do right now. I really understand how you feel, it's also depressing knowing that I'll be leaving all of the people that I've built relationships with, especially my lover and my little boy, but the thing is-"
Before Hisashi could finish talking, he started coughing up a lot of blood, and Issei quickly took out a tissue so that he could cover his mouth to prevent the blood from splattering around.
When Hisashi finally stopped coughing, he began to breathe heavily as he tried to catch his breath, causing Issei to become concerned for him.
As I was saying…I have already accepted my fate. This is a death I cannot escape." Hisashi stuttered a bit.
"I know that, but still. I don't want you to die, neither does Inko wants you to die. And you still haven't spent time with your son, there's a lot of depth in this," Issei said.
"I know, but what is the point of crying about this inevitable reality? I'm still going to die, and there's nothing we can do about it. I can't even be around my family because I'm losing control of my magic, I don't want to hurt them because of my dysfunction, and the fact that every day I have to take pills that don't even help at all."
The last thing I want to do is to make my wife and my son depressed by seeing me every day trying to live a life that won't even last long. This is hurting me as well, both physically and emotionally.
But here I am, trying to live my life the best way that I can, so please…" Hisashi said and then he calmly flicked Issei's forehead, and Issei looked at him, seeing a weak smile on his face with blood leaking out of his mouth.
"Stop being so depressed. You fucker," Hisashi said and he coughed once again. Issei covered his mouth once again and Issei was just confused as to why Hisashi was acting like this despite knowing he would die soon.
"I hate seeing you sad like that, especially when it's related to me. And I'm pretty sure that your lovers would say the same thing. Right now, I'm not here to cry about my death, especially when I'm hanging out with my closest friend that I consider family even when I was always alone without a family, you always kept me company and helped me."
When I call you, I don't want to have sad moments, I want to have the best times of my life with my only brother," Hisashi said, still smiling at him.
"Hi…Hisashi." Issei said.
"Issei, you are never the person to be as serious or as sad as this. The Issei that I know, always handles these situations by thinking about boobs. Remember that you wanted to have a harem of your own?" Hisashi asked.
"Y-yeah.." Issei answered.
"Now that you have achieved your long-awaited dream, do you really want to get discouraged by me? You are acting out of character right now. No wonder before you became a Devil, girls didn't like you. Dumbass," Hisashi mocked Issei for his unusual behavior and Issei was admiring his optimism, but then he started snickering.
"You sure can be a big asshole sometimes," Issei said, feeling a bit calmer, which satisfied Hisashi.
"Hehe, thank you," Hisashi replied.
"Now, do you want to go home or would you like to stay longer?" Issei asked.
"They wouldn't mind if I stayed longer; I should take advantage of these last moments and enjoy them to the fullest," Hisashi said.
Issei said true and then both of them sat down properly and they resumed drinking together, when they finished their mug of beer, they lifted it up.
Both of them said with a bright expression on their faces as if nothing had happened.
The bartender replied, "Right away," and he grabbed their mugs to refill their beers.
"Hey Issei, I would like for you to do my final wish for me," Hisashi started a bit serious and Issei looked at him, waiting to hear what he had to say.
"Can you take care of my boy when I die? He really needs a father figure to inspire him, and there's no one better to ask other than you. I learned that both of us made a mistake to trust everyone so easily, that's why we are in the conditions that we are right now, and I have a terrible feeling in my guts that it's saying that he might be in danger, and I won't be able to protect him. So, would you take this responsibility for me, as a final wish?" Hisashi asked expecting any answer from Issei, and Issei just smiled.
"Of course, I can't refuse my brother's wish," Issei accepted to fulfill the wish and Hisashi smiled happily as the mugs were already on the table, both of them holding it and cheering while smiling at each other.
….
Hisashi Midoriya, my best friend. I never really understood why such a genuine guy would associate himself with a pervert like me. I remember when everyone hated me for the personality that I had back in my middle school times. I thought I was already done for. Dying alone, no friends, no girlfriend and disappointed parents. These were the types of thoughts I usually had back in middle school. Until he made an appearance…
"Kids, please welcome your new classmate who just joined us today," said a female teacher, a young Hisashi, back when he and Issei were in middle school. They looked exactly alike, except for their age difference.
"Hello, my name is Hisashi Midoriya. It's nice to meet you all, and I hope we can get along," Hisashi innocently said and smiled. The girls blushed at seeing a boy with white hair and red eyes, as it wasn't common to see someone like him, so they thought he was cute.
"Good, now that you've introduced yourself. There's a free seat in front of Mr. Hyoudou, why don't you go sit over there?" The teacher suggested, and Hisashi looked at where the teacher was pointing at, he saw a free seat, and he also saw Issei sitting behind it, looking out the window without caring about the class, and when Hisashi looked at his classmates, they all had a disgusted face when they heard Issei's name.
He wondered why, so when he was walking to his seat, a random girl tugged at his shirt and had a concerned face. He was confused.
"Whatever you do, don't get close to Hyoudou," the girl warned him.
"Why?" Hisashi asked curiously.
"He's a big creep and a pervert, you'll get corrupted if you get too close to him," the girl said with a disgusted face while talking about him, and Hisashi felt a bit awkward and uncomfortable.
"Ah, I see…I'll keep that in mind," Hisashi awkwardly said as the girl let him go. He then took his seat, facing the front so that the teacher could begin the lesson.
During the timeskip, when it was break time, all of the students except for Hisashi and Issei were outside of the class having their break time. We see Issei sleeping in class without a care in the world, but his sleep would be interrupted by Hisashi who was poking him to wake up.
As Issei poked him, Issei groaned as a sign that he had just woken up. When Issei then lifted his head up, the first thing he saw was Hisashi, who was at the time the new student and whom he did not yet know.
"Rise and shine, sleepyhead," Hisashi greeted him.
Issei asked, expecting mockery.
"No, I don't do that," Hisashi replied. "It seems lame to me to be doing that."
"I see... So what do you want from me?" Issei asked.
"Well, I just felt bored and you seemed interesting for some reason," Hisashi said, to which Issei was not convinced by the answer.
"I literally slept in class, what makes you think I'm interesting? Plus, nobody likes me, and the fact that there are cute girls in here, yet they hate me, it's frustrating, crap," Issei complained about the reputation that he currently had, and Hisashi laughed a bit at his comedic personality.
"You're pretty funny, you know that?" Hisashi said.
"I get that a lot, that's why everyone throws pies at me like I'm some damn clown when I go home. I'm a walking joke, Clown is one of my nicknames after pervert, creep, rapist, etc and more etcs. I ain't going to lie, the nickname feels out of place but it is what it is." Issei sighs and Hisashi laughs at his joke about himself.
"I knew I had a good feeling about you, I thought you were some grumpy dude that everyone was scared of," Hisashi admitted.
"They aren't scared of me because I look scary. They are scared of me because they think I'm the next Carl Panzram or something, even when I compliment them, they think I touched them. Sucks to be me. It's tough around here," Issei joked again while Hisashi laughed.
"You seem really chill, would you like to be friends?" Hisashi asked.
"I don't know about that, that girl did say to keep your distance from me since I'll corrupt you or something like that. Are you even willing to risk your reputation for the sake of my friendship?" Issei asked him curious about his answer even though he was already expecting a negative one.
"I don't care about my reputation, I'd rather have a fun school time than a quiet boring school life. And you seem like fun to hang out with. So what do you say? Friends?" Hisashi asked once again and he had his hands open waiting for Issei to shake it. Issei thought for a few seconds and then sighed.
"Don't blame me if you regret it, but fine. I accept your offer," Issei said as he shook Hisashi's hand and Hisashi smiled.
"You can call me Hisashi, by the way," Hisashi smiled.
"Issei," Issei said as he smiled back at Hisashi.
Initially, I thought he was a strange person, but little did I realize, my friend and I would spend a lot of time together.
"Get back here you two!!", a teacher shouted as he chased after Issei and Hisashi. Issei had a pornographic magazine in his possession, while Hisashi was simply following along with him.
"Issei, please pass me the magazine," Hisashi suggested.
"Alright man," Issei threw the magazine and they both went their separate ways as the teacher was now exhausted from chasing them for minutes on end.
The scene changed when they were behind their classroom outside of the school and they were both giggling because they made the teacher tired and they didn't get caught.
….
This was a test day and right now the students were taking the test, including Issei and Hisashi. So Issei was visibly having a hard time doing the test. But while he was trying to solve at least something, Hisashi raised his hand.
"Teacher, may I return Hyoudou's pencil?" Hisashi asked.
"Sure, whatever. But don't cheat," the teacher warned him.
"Yes ma'am," Hisashi answers, and he turns around to return Issei's pencil. When he gives it back, he winks at Issei, and Issei realizes what he is doing. When Hisashi turns around, Issei gets up and gives him his test sheets. While pretending to write on them, Issei looks closely at the pencil and sees the answers written inside. Immediately, he starts writing down the answers.
…
Even when we were in high school, we always caused trouble. Our duo name was "The Wolf and the Sheep."
The girls from the Kendo Club were chasing both Issei and Hisashi, and Hisashi was giving Issei a piggyback ride while running away from the girls, because Issei had twisted his ankle.
"Damn Issei, always getting into trouble with the ladies. I don't know what would have happened if I hadn't caught you in time," Hisashi said while chuckling.
"Thanks though, but my fucking ankle just had to get twisted at the wrong time. I would've said it was worth it when I saw the goodies of the ladies, but man, I would've been dead if it wasn't for you," Issei said, relieved that his best friend caught him when he was about to confront his damnation. Hisashi laughed.
"Remember, we always have each other's back. Thank you for being there for me, this is all I can do for now." Hisashi said with a closed-eye smile.
"No problem, I'll always have your back too," Issei smiled.
"Alright, let's get the fuck out of here, they are catching up. I hate being a punching bag," Issei said as Hisashi laughed at his joke.
"Got it," Hisashi said as he started running faster, allowing them to outrun the girls. The girls eventually gave up and started breathing heavily.
"Darn it, he got away," one of the girls exclaimed.
"I know, but did you see Midoriya? He looks so hot. I can't believe he's friends with that sicko," another girl said.
"I know, it's really crazy how she defends him all the time," another girl said.
"They are such a weird duo. Hyoudou is a pervert, so he's like a wolf, and Hisashi is like a sheep," another girl said.
"But who cares, he always bails Hyoudou out of everything he does. That's what makes it so frustrating. A handsome guy like him shouldn't be hanging around with him," another girl said pissed.
"Next time, we'll catch him no matter what," another girl said with determination as she watched both of them running away from the girls, who were laughing. Both boys seemed to be having fun.
Many people doubted our friendship. They thought we were not compatible enough to even interact with each other, and before I could prove myself, only Hisashi was always by my side. When I became a Devil under Rias, he revealed that he was a Devil himself, but he was Pure. He said that he did not say anything because he did not want me to become a part of something that would eventually come for me.
He taught me a lot about the Three Factions, the Norse Mythology and a lot of the mystical world out there. While I was serving Rias, who later became my first wife, he was independent. But he always fights with me whenever he gets the chance.
Honestly, there were many times we fought and the more we fought, the more I learned about him. I was so oblivious to not realize that he had issues that he was hiding from me.
I felt like a horrible friend for not noticing them, there were even times we've fought each other, but despite all of the problems….we never stopped caring for each other, after all of the bullshit, we still laugh and have a good time like nothing happened.
Unfortunately, nothing lasts forever.
It was a rainy day, and we focus on the graveyard where a funeral is happening, and the deceased one was none other than Hisashi Midoriya, who passed away at the age of 26, all the people that Hisashi was close to were present, especially Issei along with his parents and his wives which consisted of Rias Gremory Hyoudou, Akeno Himejima Hyoudou, Asia Argento Hyoudou, Koneko Toujou Hyoudou, Irina Shidou Hyoudou, Xenovia Quarta Hyoudou, Rossweisse Hyoudou, Ravel Phoenix Hyoudou and Kuroka Toujou Hyoudou.
They were all wearing black clothing. Issei was looking at his grave without an expression on his face, silently crying as the rain poured down.
The one thing that his wives didn't like to see was a depressed Issei. But they understood his pain; it really hurt losing the person who you had shared so many experiences with, the one whom you trusted and cared for more than anyone else.
It was already frustrating for him when Hisashi was slowly dying, but now that his death was a real thing, it was too much for him to handle. And all he could do was just cry. This was his new reality. A reality where Hisashi was no longer a part of his life, he's now a memory that he had while growing up.
If I had to tell which was the worst pain that I've ever felt, this would be the answer I would give. The pain of losing the one person that I've spent the best times of my life with. I was at my lowest point at that time, and had no more reason to continue living, even when I achieved what I always wanted. What was even the point if I lost the one who would celebrate my achievements before I could do anything about it?
Issei was looking at Hisashi's grave and he looked at his picture that showed Hisashi smiling, and Issei gripped his fist trying not to cry, but then his hand was touched by Rias who couldn't bear seeing Issei so miserable like that alongside with his other wives who were about to cry seeing his depressed face.
"Issei…It's alright, you don't need to hold back. You can't keep hurting yourself by containing your feelings," Rias said with a sad face.
"We don't like seeing you like this. All broken and with nothing to comfort you. Please don't try to force yourself to stay strong," Akeno said.
"Vulnerability is one of the most important things that make you a man. I know that the Issei that we married is the manliest man we know. This can't be the time to hold back your feelings." Xenovia said.
Your charm has always been through your feelings and passion. Don't let this change you Darling," Kuroka said as well.
"You are better when you are honest with yourself," Koneko stated.
"I'm sure your dear friend wouldn't want to see you sad like this and keep it to yourself. Let us comfort you," Rossweisse said.
Irina said, "Please don't give up now; we know you are stronger than that."
"May his soul rest in peace. And please don't see this as a punishment," Asia said.
"Don't let the grief change you, please stay strong for your friend and for us," Ravel said.
Issei was speechless at the words his wives had said about him; they didn't want Issei to be any different. The Issei that they knew was a happy pervert with a heart of gold. He was blessed by the people he was surrounded by.
Issei couldn't say anything but he couldn't hold it anymore, he fell on his knees and started crying and all of his wives hugged Issei trying to comfort him the best way they could possibly do.
While the funeral was happening, there were two people wearing white burqa-like masks that conceal their faces, a large white cloak with the Sol God symbol, as well as a white shoulder guard, a dark jumper with the same insignia on it, white gloves, a jagged belt around their waists holding up their white trousers which had a thick dark line running across the thigh area, and seemed to go all the way down to their feet, covering them.
They watched the funeral from afar so that they would not be seen by the crowd.
"Phase one: Complete… Now we should move on to phase two…" The one standing up said and then they all vanished into thin air.
Some time passed, Issei was now feeling a bit better than before, but he was still sad about his dear friend's passing, but when he looked at his right side, he saw a young slim woman with shoulder-length hair tied in a ponytail on her left side.
Her name is Inko Midoriya, she was wearing a black dress and she was holding a 3 year old child with a round face framed by a short mess of fluffy dark-green hair which sticks up at odd angles around his head, casting noticeable shadows on it. His name is Izuku Midoriya.
While Inko cried a lot due to the loss of her dear husband, Izuku did not show any signs of sadness or grief. His face remained emotionless.
At first he didn't know why, but he remembered that Hisashi couldn't spend time with his own son, so the boy didn't know what to feel about his own father's death, and since he was just a little kid. But then he remembered his new current purpose.
When I saw the kid's stoic face, I realized my new purpose, and that was to be there for the boy. Hisashi entrusted his own son to me, and it was my duty to guide him as a father figure so that he could grow up happy and healthy. This was my responsibility…
After the funeral ended, most of the guests left, except for Issei, his harem, Inko, and Izuku. Inko was crying a lot while she held Izuku, and Issei looked at them feeling bad because they were also affected by his best friend's death. He then decided to talk to them.
"I'll be back girls, you can go ahead. Tell the kids we'll have guests today," Issei informed.
"Alright, see you later Issei," Rias said as she and all of their wives left. Issei then walked towards Inko and Izuku, and he hugged her, trying to comfort her even though he felt guilty after everything.
"I am so sorry for your loss. I feel like I let you down."
Issei replied, "It's alright. You don't need to apologize. It wasn't your fault. Even if it was, I wouldn't blame you. So don't put a lot of weight on yourself." Ino said, and Issei was relieved that she didn't carry any resentment towards him.
While they were having their moment, Izuku was just quietly looking at Issei and Into while tugging on his dress, and then they noticed him staring.
"This is my son, Izuku Midoriya. I'm sure Hisashi has already mentioned him," Inko said smiling. And Izuku hid himself behind Inko.
Inko apologized for his behavior. "He's really shy around new people, but he doesn't hate you. And he doesn't talk a lot." She explained and Issei understood. Then Issei knelt down so that he could face him.
"Hey little one. I mean no harm, I'm your father's best friend. My name is Issei Hyoudou. I know that you don't know me that much, but I'll be your Godfather from now on. Nice to meet you." Issei introduced himself and he lifted his hand and waited for Izuku to shake his hand. Izuku was still shy and it was obvious, so neither Inko nor Issei could blame him.
Inko smiled, and Izuku saw that she was comfortable around him, so Izuku walked towards him, but he was shaking out of anxiety, even though he didn't want to speak, it was obvious he was still nervous.
Izuku slowly held out his hand, and Issei shook it. Izuku flinched, but then he realized that he was just shaking it with a genuine smile on his face.
"I'm not trying to replace your Oto-san. All I want is for us to be good friends, so just call me Issei," Issei said, and Izuku still had a stoic face, but he nodded his head signaling that he accepted the friendship.
Izuku was a shy child when I first met him. For a child of his age, he carried a stoic expression on his face. It wasn't because he disliked people; he was a quiet kid and he didn't understand emotions very well. Now that it was my responsibility to look after him, I had to help him learn more about himself and others.
Initially, it was difficult for him to be open around people; he was always quiet. However, when he started hanging out with my kids, he began to gradually act more like his age. Additionally, I taught him many things and helped fill the void of not having a father figure, so within a few months, he rarely had a stoic expression on his face, and he started to have a smile similar to his father's.
"Issei, Issei, Issei!" Izuku called out, getting the attention of Issei himself.
"What do you need, little one?" Issei asked gently.
"Can you tell me more about your adventures with Otou-san?" Izuku asked, feeling excited.
"Hmm, sure. But call the others to join, I don't want them to feel left out or jealous of us spending more time together." Issei said.
Issei agreed and he ran to call the other kids. Issei just had a smile on his face waiting for the other kids. And his wives and Inko were mesmerized by the way Issei was trying to be a father to all of the kids.
My kids and Izuku got interested in heroes and I usually buy them comics and manga for them to read. But when the time is right, they would want to hear my stories back in my younger days with Hisashi. There were a lot of stories, but I had to say the less explicit ones because my theme was revolved around erotic things. But overall, these were happy moments, even though he was gone, I had to keep moving forward. Although…there was another traumatic event that happened to me.
A 27-year-old Issei was outside of the house, and he was shocked and he couldn't believe what he was seeing. Why the shock you ask? The house that was burning was the Midoriya residence. And since Hisashi passed away, Inko and Izuku were living together alone. Issei did regular visits, and this was one of those days, but this was not according to plan.
"No…Please no. No, no, no, no" Issei just couldn't believe it, this wasn't what he wanted to see right now, and the fact that there's a higher chance that both Inko and Izuku were dead, just worsened his anxiety. But Issei was too stubborn to believe it, he slammed the door of the burning house, and he searched for Inko and Midoriya around the house, and most of what he could find were burning corpses, missing limbs, decapitated heads, organs and blood stains.
After a little while of searching, when he went to the living room, he finally found them, but…Izuku was the only one alive. As for Inko…she had a hole in her stomach, so a lot of her vital organs were destroyed, so there was a lot of blood leaking on the floor. Izuku just held his mother's corpse covered in a dark green aura which covered both Izuku and his mother. It was like the aura was protecting them from the suffocation and the heat of the house.
"Izuku!!", Issei called out as he saw Izuku looking at him. The aura vanished.
"I…Izuku," he responded while stuttering.
Issei then ran as fast as he could to grab both Inko and Izuku, and he ran back outside of the house before it exploded. So when they finally got outside, the house exploded which pushed Issei, Izuku and Inko far away from the explosion. However, they were not sent flying.
So now both Izuku and Issei were outside, while holding Inko's corpse watching the house burn in front of them. Both of them were in disbelief of what they just witnessed and experienced. Issei felt like the biggest failure that ever existed. This was not what neither of them wanted to see. But then Izuku tugged Issei's shirt which got the attention of Issei, so when he looked at him. Issei saw a broken Izuku, he had bruises on his face, he was covered in dirt and he was crying.
"What's going on?" Izuku asked genuinely confused and in immense pain, both physically and emotionally. And Issei was also losing his composure seeing Izuku like that, and Issei just hugged Izuku and the only thing Izuku could do was to cry and Issei was trying his best not to cry while comforting Izuku. And they stayed like that, not letting go of each other.
This is my biggest regret. I was too late to save Inko and to protect Izuku from this traumatic event. I'll never be able to forgive myself. This is all my fault; if only I could change everything, I would. Maybe then he would still be alive and Izuku would have been happier...
And cut!
Now, I know. It could have been better, but this is what we could do. But, it really doesn't matter, since we are not going to continue, so this is a throwaway and more are coming soon.
Stay tuned for an upcoming book that I am working on, but that's all. Have a blessed day and I'm out. Peace
