Voices
It was a nice sunny day, and Bandit and his family were enjoying the fresh air in their backyard. Bluey and Bingo were playing hide and seek, while Bandit and Chilli enjoyed some tea while overlooking their kids' play.
"It's a nice day I am right?" Chilli asked while looking at Bandit
"I couldn't agree more, the weather is gorgeous today."
Bandit was sipping some of his tea when all of a sudden, he heard voices in his head, they were faint, and he could barely understand them, Bandit was confused as he was caught off guard by this strange thing that just happened, Chilli looked at Bandit and saw that he was confused and looking around.
"What's wrong babe?" Chilli asked with a worried voice.
"Oh, it's nothing, I just heard some strange voices in my head for a moment there. It was really weird and caught me off guard. I'm not sure what that was all about."
"I am sure it's nothing, probably from all the stress you get from work,"
"Maybe, I do not know,"
*After some time passed*
Bandit was in the kitchen drinking some water, Chilli was eating her food,
"Babe, could you please give me one more slice of cheese?" Chilli asked.
"Sure, thing babe,"
Bandit went over to the fridge, he grabbed the cheese and a knife, while he was holding the knife, he heard those strange voices again,
"Murder!"
Bandit was shocked when he heard that, his fur jumped up and so did his tail.
"What was that? And did it just say murder!" Bandit said to himself
Chilli saw that Bandit's fur and tail were up.
"Is everything okay sweety?" Chilli asked with a confused and worried voice.
"i-I, yes, everything is fine no need to worry," Bandit reassured Chilli.
"Oh, okay," Chilli said, deep down she knew that something was wrong.
*After some time passed*
The Heeler family was calmly asleep, then all of a sudden, Bandit woke up, he lost all control of his body, he was not conscious his body was not under his control. He headed to the garage where he took a gasoline can, and then he went to the kitchen and got some paper and a light. He unlocked the front door and went outside, Bandit walked over to Pat's house and poured gasoline around Pat's house and some on the front porch and walls, he stepped back folded multiple papers and lit them on fire with the lighter and placed them near the poured gasoline on the ground. The fire quickly spread all around Pat's house, Bandit quickly ran back to his house and placed himself near a window overlooking Pat's house.
Then Bandit got back control of his body, he did not know what was happening the last thing he remembered was him going to sleep. Now he was standing near a window overlooking Pat's burning house. He was shocked at what he saw but was more shocked when he faintly noticed a dark figure looking at him in the corner of his vision. Bandit turned to the direction of the dark figure but it was gone. Bandit was confused but ignored it, he turned around and ran towards the bedroom, he grabbed his phone and called the fire department while exiting the room, Chilli woke up slightly stubborn from Bandit's loud running footsteps.
While Bandit was talking on the phone, Chilli got herself out of bed and followed Bandit, she was confused not knowing what had happened, Bandit finished with his call and turned around and saw Chilli with a confused face,
"What is happening? Is everything okay?" Chilli asked
"I don't know, I woke up standing in front of the window overlooking Pat's house which is all in flames."
"What! It's on fire?"
"Yes, go look out the window,"
Chilli rushed to the window and saw that Pat's house was indeed on fire, she was shocked at the scene that she was seeing, and she turned around.
"We need to help!" Chilli said with a panicked face.
"I know but how?"
"I don't know, maybe with a hose? We can at least lower the amount of fire,"
"Good thinking,"
Both of the rushed outside, they were a bit confused as to why the front door was unlocked but that was not important now, they rushed to the side of the house Bandit grabbed the hose while Chilli turned on the water, Bandit sprayed water on Pat's house but it was no use, the fire was too big at this point,
*After some time passed*
Bandit and Chilli heard faint sirens approaching.
"That is a relief," Chilli said with a sigh.
The firemen quickly rushed to Pat's house, they began to spray the house with water, this time it was more effective since it was multiple hoses that did the job and a bigger amount of water. After most of the fire was put out, some firemen tried to get inside the house, they broke down the front door, and once it was open, they say Debre had fallen from the roof, but more disturbing was what was underneath the rubble they found a severed hand near the ruble and a bloody male body under the rubble, his skin was burned in some place it was so bad you could see some bones. They continued to search the house hoping to find survivors.
But unfortunately, no one survived the fire. Bandit and Chilli hugged each other while crying. After some time, the fire was put out, the fire almost burned down the entire house, and only some parts of the house remind, it was all reduced to ashes. The firemen found 4 bodies in the house two children and two adults. Bandit and Chilli watched in horror as the firefighters carried out the deceased bodies in body bags, both of them fell to the ground now crying even more.
"Mom, Dad what happens to Lucky's house? Why is it all ruined like that?" Bluey asked with a soft and worried voice.
"Sweety, Lucky and his family moved away, to live in a different place, they told me to say goodbye to you from them, you were sleeping when they left," Chilli said with a tear dropping from her eye.
"Why would they leave? And why are you crying?" Bingo asked.
Chilli could not talk about the situation, it would break Bingo's and Bluey's hearts if they knew the truth, Chilli excused herself and went to the bathroom, Bandit replaced Chilli and talked to Bingo and Bluey,
"Kids, they left on a long vacation, that is all I can say for now, your mom is all right so am I. there is nothing to worry about." Bandit said with a reassuring voice.
