A/N: Hehehe... because my sadist streak had returned to the surface to make me write some angsty stuff XD
[Edit] Revising some parts of this fic since I had a diff idea to explore on Home.
"Don't you dare die on me."
Keiwa snorted to himself before turning his attention to the man next to him.
"Are you really telling me that? Weren't you planning to save your mother from continuing to have to serve as the Goddess of Creation for the DGP?" He grinned. "There shouldn't be a need for you to worry about other people."
Ace laughed at him after that comment.
"I like your attitude. Even when at first you've been detesting the game after knowing the whole truth about the Desire Grand Prix, you're finally picking up the slack for this last battle."
Keiwa shrugged. "Well, as much as I'd like to cling to my own values, I do have to face my own hypocrisy. As much as I hated the sins accumulated from all of these games, in order to achieve my wishes... I would've still needed your mother's powers to make it come true."
He bit his lips. "I know now as much as I wanted to revive the people that had been lost from the games, there would still be an equal price that I'll have to pay to make it happen."
Ace let out a soft snicker.
"Good. So I guess we'll be racing to see who will get their wishes granted for real!"
Keiwa glanced back towards Ace again.
"As always, you tend to be so laidback towards everything. Even when I've been so harsh to you lately."
Ace just gave him the usual confident smile. "It's because I've grown to like you a lot, Keiwa. You and Neon and everyone. It had been a nice change after all of my years of fighting alone in these games."
Keiwa's smile wavered as he listened to Ace's words and he frowned.
"You sounded as if this would be our final goodbyes..."
Ace just rolled his eyes at him. "Was that your biggest concern right now? We still have one tough opponent to defeat after this."
"Will you be all right?" Keiwa shot back at him. "After all, we're not sure what'll happen when we end this fight once and for all. Aside from stopping those people from ruining this world even more, there's no telling what'll happen to you and your mother."
Ace just shrugged at him, not really giving him any response. He glanced up towards the grand stage where the final fate of the Desire Grand Prix would be decided once and for all.
"So, here comes the final highlight!"

RIIIINGGGG!
Keiwa blindly reached his hand out from underneath the covers before slapping the alarm clock silent. He got up from his bed, slightly disoriented.
What was that dream he just had? For some reason, he couldn't recall any details of it. Even though it felt like he should remember something.
"Keiwa! Are you still sleeping? You'll be late for your first day at work!"
His sister's voice snapped him out of his reverie as Keiwa hurriedly got off the bed to get ready.
It's probably nothing important.

"Keiwa, hey... did you know? Neon-chan posted a new video today..."
As Keiwa begin to shove his breakfast into his mouth, his sister started telling him the details from Kurama Neon's newest video. Apparently right now Neon was vlogging about her journey to find true love... and his sister was adamant to keep wishing her idol success.
What a great start for a great morning...

Keiwa hurriedly set out towards his new workplace. His new job was as an assistant at a charity organisation whose goal was to provide aid to various people in need. It had been by chance that he met one of the managers from the organisation at the soba restaurant he was working at and the manager had offered him a position at their workplace, seeing how enthusiastic Keiwa had been after finding out about their work. And if he was to be honest with himself, this new job was just perfect for him. Since he always liked to help people anyway.
Just as he was crossing the road, Keiwa heard a loud commotion nearby. A large crowd had gathered around an old tree as a small child was trapped on one of the lower hanging branches. A lone fireman had climbed over the branch and gradually rescued the kid and returned the boy to his mother. As the young mother started to express her gratitude for saving her son, the fireman just waved it away.
"Don't worry about it. After all, this was my job!"
Keiwa blinked as something the man said sounded familiar, but he couldn't quite place it. The fireman turned his glance towards him before giving him a small nod. Keiwa awkwardly offered his greeting before watching the fireman get on his firetruck and drove away.

A young lady in a black and white dress suddenly approached him while he was taking a break. It happened just as he was thinking that something felt missing from his life. The thought came to him every time he happened to look up towards some billboard and NOT see the image of someone who should've been there. Though he couldn't remember who that 'someone' should be.
The young lady held out a small box towards him.
"Sakurai Keiwa," the lady said, "You have been offered a chance to take part in the Desire Grand Prix. Should you accept this offer, you'll have a chance to have one wish granted."
Keiwa frowned at the girl. "A wish? Desire Grand Prix?"
He opened the box that was given to him and unthinkingly touched the core id that was included with the belt. Immediately his past memories of the DGP came back to him. Keiwa gasped.
"Gosh, what—?" Keiwa blinked as he realised what was happening. "Wait, Tsumuri-san? Why are you—I thought the game has already ended!"
As soon as he spoke, Keiwa realised something that had been bothering him all day. Dropping the box in his hand, Keiwa grabbed Tsumuri by the shoulders.
"What's happening, Tsumuri-san? I thought Ace had saved his mother and stopped the DGP once and for all. But why is the game starting again, and most importantly—"
"Where is Ace? Why was there no trace of him anymore? What happened to him?"
As Keiwa's heart continued to beat rapidly, Tsumuri looked up to him looking devastated.
