Author warnings
THIS STORY IS SET IN AN ALTERNATE UNIVERSE THAT MEANS IT IS NOT CANON. IF YOU CAN'T HANDLE THAT, THIS STORY ISN'T FOR YOU.
My first MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE movie was Spider-Man Far From Home so I didn't experience the hype up close and personal the way I did with the Potter franchise (I read the books - they came out when I was 15 - I prefer the movies.)
THERE ARE HEAVY SPOILERS FOR INFINITY WAR AND ENDGAME WITHIN THE FIRST TWO CHAPTERS OF THIS STORY, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
I have put in headings instead of putting in things that might cause the powers that be to remove this story from the site - these are like DVD chapter headings. I think they're easier than the summaries of the films though I will put those at the beginning of each chapter.
I tried to find out what the Ancient One's name is in the MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE, but it's impossible, so I plucked the Irish name Aoife out of thin air.
Basically, the prologue is "how the remaining Avengers should have handled the snap"
The prologue moves VERY, VERY FAST. This is absolutely deliberate because I'm essentially writing this novel as though it's a screenplay (it and book 1 will be a screenplay come July)
I own nothing except for Constance, Prudence, Cadence and Ophelia McMahon.
To avoid getting this pulled for copyright I've only used the summaries and a few small quotes from certain movies. There will be a lot of dialogue and description that is not in the film, and it WILL get confusing, so I suggest watching the movies as you read.
I have referred to certain historical figures in the CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER chapter because this movie is historical.
I'm incapable of writing Thor as a character, I find his speech patterns cringeworthy, and I find him boring.
I am not a fan of the first two movies featuring him as a main character… the other two were OK, but I didn't enjoy them enough to write them… The same applies to Guardians of the Galaxy.
I was going to name drop, but then I decided to description drop instead. This is because fan fiction dot net has rules about name-dropping and including celebrities. AO3 doesn't and clearly Wattpad doesn't either because plenty of authors do it.
Unfortunately, what Constance says here about her favourite actor is true. (the watching the movies part is set in 2016)
My first time round education was an epic abysmal fail! That's what happens when you send a neurodiverse child to mainstream CATHOLIC school.
I'm no longer a catholic, I'm a Christian, and I'm homeschooled at 40.
I was raised VERY open-minded by a single parent and as I'm technically a minority because I have a disability, I'd be a total hypocrite if I didn't keep that open mind.
I'm not a fan of the X-Men franchise but thought bringing them in would make this story more popular.
I am a lot more aesthetic than logical so if any of the "science" stuff is wrong (time freezing etc) too bad.
There is an abundance of ableism in this story - you have been warned.
Although I don't mind slash pairings (raised open minded, remember?) I don't ship IronStrange or Stony. I'm experimenting with pairing Strange with Loki.
This story is not suitable for people who are afraid of snakes, spiders or cats, you have been warned!
This actually happened to me on my 29th birthday at my gran's but with a spider instead of a snake!
I've said something similar to what Adam says about men who disrespect women because my biological father is a disrespectful, nasty piece of work.
I do not possess the necessary skills to add this detail so just… use your imagination, K?
I do not possess a sense of time so if the timeline seems a little… off you know why
This story is in SERIOUS need of a properly qualified, properly educated beta.
I have decided NOT to include the Chapter by Chapter section I created. I'd rather let the story speak for itself even if it's as mediocre as I suspect it is.
Remember to go and read Stark for President 1 For the Love of a Genius before you read this; otherwise you'll get confused.
