* One Day Later *
Naruto was walking to training ground forty-four with his team just a few minutes after getting the location from Kakashi. Naruto looked around annoyed and tired as he didn't really get sleep last night. Naruto sighed as he looked down, shaking his head when he heard distant laughter. Naruto looked up as they turned a corner to see trees in a fence but to his surprise he saw Anko talking to Iruka. Now the surprising thing about this is the small blush Iruka has which made Naruto smile. Naruto then put his hands in his pockets and continued to walk when he heard " Why is Iruka Sensei here?" Naruto just shrugged and continued walking after about a minute. Naruto got into a yelling range so he yelled " Iruka." Naruto saw Iruka look up at him with a smile then heard Iruka yell " Hey." Naruto just smiled as he continued to walk to hear Anko yell " We'll you're all ten minutes early but whatever." Naruto saw Anko then turn to Iruka and saw her say something then saw her turn and run off to properly help finish up the second exam. Naruto then saw Iruka look at them as they got close so they stopped. Naruto smiled when he heard Iruka say " Good luck and I wish we could talk but I need to head to the academy." Naruto nodded to hear " Also Konohamaru is a lot like you." Naruto chuckled and nodded, then he saw Iruka turn and about to leave so he turned to his left and said " Konohamaru, why don't you join Iruka to class." Naruto saw Konohamaru's head come out of a bush then heard " You got me boss." Naruto chuckled as he saw the twelve year old child walk out of the bush then walk to Iruka. Naruto just smiled and waved to his two friends to hear " How did you know he was there?" Naruto turned around at Sakura then he pointed at the bush and said " It was moving."
* Ten Minutes Later *
Naruto was leaning against a rock looking at the twenty teams in front of the forest when he heard " Naruto." Naruto turned and smiled to see Hinata so he said " Hey Hinata." Naruto saw Hinata smile so he looked past her at her teammates then back at Hinata with a smile. Before anything else could be said they all heard Anko say " Ok, everyone the second test is about to begin." Naruto turned his head to look at Anko seeing her look at everyone. Naruto saw Anko smirking, then heard her say " Welcome Training ground forty-four, A.K.A the Forest of Death." ( Anko is using her chakra to make her voice loud.) Naruto saw Anko hold a brown scroll with the kanji of earth and a white scroll with the kanji of heaven. Naruto saw Anko look around and heard " You'll be given one scroll of the two scrolls and you'll then be sent into the forest. You are to retrieve one scroll by any means necessary, even killing." Naruto saw Anko hold out a piece of paper then heard " All of you are to sign this and you'll then exchange your team's papers for a scroll. Naruto saw Anko look over everyone then heard " You'll take these to the tower in the middle of the forest. You will be disqualified for opening the scrolls, going to the tower but one teammate is not able to continue or go past the five day limit." Naruto nodded, then he created a clone as Anko stepped down from the small stage and then he had his clone go get his team papers. Naruto then looked at Hinata seeing her about to walk off so he said " Hey, when your team gets your scroll, get your team over to mine." Naruto saw Hinata just nod then walk off so he smirked to then hear Sasuke say " What the hell are you planning?" Naruto looked at Sasuke and said " You'll see." Naruto saw Sasuke roll his eyes but he just went back to leaning against the rock. After a few minutes he saw team eight walk up hearing Kiba say " What do you want to talk about?" Naruto smirked and said " I have an idea." Naruto then saw his clone walk up with the papers so he took it, dispelling the clone and said while he signed it " Ok, in a theoretical world say someone went last to get their scrolls. Say that team knocks out the Chunin handing out scrolls and get their team the scroll they need. Say they can fly and go through the forest and get to the tower in ten minutes but they know they are going to need a target so they ask another team for help in exchange for the scroll they need." Naruto looked over at the team to hear Kiba say " Isn't that cheating?" Naruto shook his head and said " She said get the scroll we need by any means." Naruto saw Kiba nod and then tell Shino to walk up and then heard him say " A logical way it's a good idea but you could betray us?" Naruto nodded and then said " What scroll do you have?" Naruto saw Shino look at his teammates who nodded and then heard " Earth."
Naruto nodded and said " Ok, well then there will be two heavens and earth. Your team has two earths while my team has two heavens. In Doing so we have equal ways of attacking but to attack for the other to run will just be a pain in the side." Naruto saw Shino look at his team and nod when he heard Sasuke say " We could easily get our own scroll without help?" Naruto sighed then said " The Third part is a one on one tournament battle. We need all of our strength." Naruto saw Sasuke look away but nod when he heard Hinata say " You remember that?" Naruto smiled at Hinata and nodded, then he created a clone to have it turn in his team's papers for a scroll and to go last. Naruto then looked at team eight when he heard Hinata say " You said we would fly there." Naruto nodded and without thinking bit his thumb making it bleed then did hand signs. Naruto slammed his hands on the ground as everyone jumped back. After the smoke dissipated he saw three big bats appear with leather saddles. Naruto looked at them, seeing one red, one black and one gray. Naruto smirked when he heard " You idiot now everyone knows about them." Naruto's eyes widened then he chuckled rubbing the back of his head when he heard Hinata say " Idiot." Naruto looked at Hinata expecting what she said to attack him. He didn't feel like an attack but instead it felt like a weird complement. Naruto smiled when he heard Kiba say " Wait these…"
Naruto nodded as he saw Kiba look at him so he said " Yes, they are the bats from the mission we went on. Naruto then walked to the black one and said " This is even the same one, his name is Ruiino." Naruto then looked at the bat and gave a smile seeing the bats nod then he heard the red bat say " I'm Geoto." Naruto nodded, then looked at the gray bat to hear " I'm Jeoto." Naruto nodded again when he heard Sakura say " Ew, I'm not letting one of those grab me." Naruto sighed when he heard Kiba say " Sakura has a point, Naruto only one can sit on it." Naruto nodded and said " A summoner can only summon up to three Ruiino, being my summoning animal. Some of you need to be carried by the claws." Naruto looked around when he saw Kiba step up and heard " It'll be fun but I want Akamaru on the seat with whoever." Naruto nodded, then he heard Sasuke say " I'll do it." Naruto nodded, then he looked around seeing everyone looking at him so he said " What?" Naruto saw everyone look away so he looked and was about to speak when he heard Shino say " I'll be carried, I am wondering what it'll feel like." Naruto just nodded then he said " I'm going to be on Ruiino with him grabbing Shino, Sakura will be on Geoto with him grabbing Sasuke and Hinata will be on Jeoto with him grabbing Kiba." Naruto saw everyone nod when he heard " I've never known there was a bat summoning contract. I feel like we would get along." Naruto turned to the left at Anko and just chuckled to then hear Anko say " Well you made yourself a target." Naruto just nodded as he saw his clone stop behind him so he turned to see him hand two scrolls one a heaven scroll and one a storage scroll.
Naruto took the scrolls as he heard Anko say " Ok, everyone get to one of the four gates." Naruto nodded when he saw Anko look at him and heard " You can fly but can't enter until I allow everyone." Naruto nodded as he walked over to Ruiino and said " Ok." Naruto then hopped onto the saddle and said " Ruiino take it easy, it's my first time going up high." Naruto saw Ruiino nod and then heard Sakura say " You never flew high?" Naruto shook his head and said " I wanted to keep them a secret so I did low grown flying which was harder." Naruto saw them nod then saw Hinata walk over to Jeoto with Akamaru and Sakura go to Geoto. Naruto saw Hinata and Sakura struggle so he created a clone and got down from his bat and walked over to Hinata as his clone went to Sakura. Naruto helps Hinata on as his clone did the same with Sakura. After doing that he got back on Ruiino. After taking flight and having Sakura and Hinata get used, which made them a bigger target, he had the bats fly above the ones they were carrying with their claws. After a few more minutes Naruto saw Anko do a hand sign then the gates shot up so he had the bats grab the other three and they flew off going above the trees.
* Few Minutes Later *
Naruto couldn't help but smile as he felt the wind hit his face. Naruto sighed when he heard " Please don't drop me, Jeoto." Naruto looked at Kiba as he heard Jeoto chuckle so he said " Kiba don't worry, their grip is close to impossible to budge. I mean I could set off explosives nearby and they won't let up." Naruto saw Kiba nervously nod but he chuckled when he heard Sakura yell " Slow down you dumb bat." Naruto looked the other way at Sakura and said " Sakura be nice, I might be able to summon them but it's their choice to help us. Also if you want better stability you can use your chakra to stick to the saddle." Naruto saw Sakura glare at him but he didn't hear anything from her so he looked forward. Naruto smiled as he continued looking around when his eyes landed on his girlfriend. Naruto saw Hinata frowning so he looked forward, then he whispered " Ruiino get me closer to Hinata." Naruto saw Ruiino nod so he nodded then he looked at Hinata as they got closer. Naruto saw Hinata look at him so he said " Hey, you ok?" Naruto saw Hinata nod but not look at him so he said " Hinata, I know you're lying." Naruto saw Hinata look at him but before they could speak they heard Akamaru bark. Naruto looked at the dog to hear Kiba say " There is someone approaching with something." Naruto nodded, then he closed his eyes, then did some hand signs, then he said " Eco Sight." Naruto opened his eyes to see everything in red when he heard " Eco sight?" Naruto looked at Hinata then forward and said " I'll explain later." Naruto saw Hinata nod then he heard her mumble " You have a lot of explaining." Naruto sighed then he made a clicking noise with his mouth. Naruto saw a ring of light shoot around them then he saw what Akamaru smelled like a ninja from the Amegakure ninja on a huge snake going straight at them fast. Naruto tried to warn his team and team eight but it was too late as the snake launched itself from a tree at the six of them.
Naruto saw the snake hit them and launched down to a tree and when Naruto made contact with a tree he yelled in pain. Naruto groaned as he landed on a huge tree branch on his arms and knees. Naruto took a few deep breaths then he stood up to look at that Ame ninja on a snake when he heard a screech. Naruto looked next to him at Ruiino who just stopped to hear " Jeoto and Geoto took too much damage and had to head back but I'm ok." Naruto nodded as he drew his sword and said " Ruiino return, the bats don't fight and you wouldn't be helpful." Naruto just saw Ruiino nod then disappear in a puff of smoke so he looked back at the ninja when he heard " I got this idiot." Naruto saw Sasuke land in front of him so he said " Where is everyone else?" Naruto heard Sasuke scoff then heard " In a nearby tree." Naruto sighed as he quickly created a clone then he held his sword out and said " Don't underestimate this guy." Naruto heard the Ame ninja chuckle then heard " You think you could take me on. Please." Naruto looked at the snake to then think ' A snake, wait I've never heard of snake, I mean Kakashi has his dogs, the Sannin had the toads, slugs and…' Naruto's eyes widened then he said " Sasuke be careful he's powerful." Naruto heard another scoff from the Uchiha then heard " How do you know that?" Naruto sighed then said " Because only Orochimaru can summon the snakes." Naruto looked at the ninja to hear a chuckle then heard " You are smarter than you look brat." Naruto just sighed then he thought ' We can't fight him.' Naruto sighed again standing up as he put his sword on his back.
Naruto put his hands up as he looked at the snake Sannin and then said " We can't defeat you but what do you want?" Naruto heard Orochimaru chuckle then heard " Simple, Sasuke." Naruto looked at Orochimaru thinking ' I would gladly give him to you but he's my comrade and I want to get promoted.' Naruto was taken out of his thoughts by a huge burst of chakra from the Sannin which made him tap into Kyuubi's chakra." Naruto just looked at Orochimaru to hear " He casted a jutsu or more like just a wave of fear." Naruto mentally nodded to hear " Kid, I'll let you use my power against him but it's going to hurt." Naruto nodded again as he saw Orochimaru smirk as he saw the snake Sannin's head shoot towards Sasuke but Naruto moved faster then he was before and got in front of his teammate with his sword out. Naruto saw Orochimaru bite into his sword and then the head went back to hear " You brat." Naruto let out a breath thinking ' Kyuubi could I take him on with your power or no?' Naruto didn't hear anything for a few seconds as he just stared at the snake Sannin to then hear " No, the seal will only let you give a little, you should run." Naruto nodded, then in a blur he put his sword in his holster and then did hand signs. Naruto sighed as he finished the last hand sign then he said " Water Style, Hidden Mist Jutsu." Naruto turned, grabbed Sasuke's hand and ran. After a few feet he heard " I can move on my own." Naruto looked at Sasuke to hear " How could you move?" Naruto didn't answer but continued moving to then stop seeing his clone and everyone else so he said " Run, Orochimaru is after us." Naruto saw everyone shocked but then turned and tried to run but everyone stopped at bursts of chakra from the jutsu that Orochimaru used against him and Sasuke. Naruto turned around facing the snake Sannin to hear " You think you could run from me?"
