"What, are you guys even trying?"

On a dark and stormy night, in the middle of some kind of shadowy dead woods, with an abandoned-looking cat shelter orphanage, there was a group of people, who not only looked out of place from their clothing, but also out of time, they all stood before a bus, that not only held children but also seemed to be alive somewhat, judging from the eyes that replaced the headlights of the yellow vehicle, and at the moment, from the looks of it, the superhero looking people were currently in the middle of showing said living bus with all different kinds of cats from said animal shelter, to which he did not hesitate to refuse them all

"Ugh, what are you looking for exactly?"

One of the superheroes, who goes by the name of Zatanna, looked very annoyed and glares at the bus, which he just glares back

"I'm not looking, the cat is supposed to look for me!"

The living bus growls and rolls his eyes at them, clearly frustrated with them, to which most returned the same annoyed looks

"Just go back to searching, you bunch of punk losers!"

The superheroes just either growl or stayed silently angry, the more mature ones just ignored the bus and went back inside the building to keep looking, leaving him alone to his unhappy mumbling

"Stupid heroes, so freaking useless, I should've asked someone else like that green animal freak or that bat for brains, at least they would've been better in helping me find what I'm looking for."

"Meow?~"

The bus was snapped out of his inner thoughts and upset grumbling when he heard something, or specifically someone, talking to him, he looks to his side and was a bit surprised to not only see a black cat next to him but said cat was also seemingly missing the top part of its head, though was still alive somehow, this was definitely enough to catch his attention

"Well… If you must know! I'm looking for someone, I'm hoping to find them here."

The bus decided to speak the truth with the black cat but tried his best to show no weaknesses to them, though they didn't mind as they just simply sat next to the bus and continue to listen

"Meow?"

"I don't know who yet, all I know is that I'm supposed to find them here."

"Meow?"

"Why should I answer that question? I just barely met you!"

"Meow."

"... I-I just someone to keep me in the mortal world, t-thats all!"

"Meow?"

"IT SO IS THE TRUTH!... Technically…"

"Meow?"

"I don't wanna talk about it…"

"Meow…"

"..."

"..."

"... I lost my best friend…"

"... Meow?…"

"He was my anchor… Literally… And figuratively…"

"Meow?"

"I… I don't know what to do with myself… This is the first time I ever felt like this before, to lose someone, to hold someone so close, but then, b-but then-"

"Meow…"

The bus gasped and went eyes wide, as he turns his attention to the black cat, who looked down with an unreadable expression

"Y-You know how it feels to lose someone you cared for and cared about?..."

"Meow…"

There was a moment of silence between the black cat and the bus, as they both process what each other has said and are now thinking about what to say next

"... Hey, what's your name?"

"Meow."

"You don't have a name? Hm…"

The bus lets out a small thoughtful hum, before the eyes suddenly close, and a red-like energy escapes the vehicle and forms into a red gem, which caught the black cat's attention, it floats downs and in front of the feline face

"Well if you don't have a name, how about I just give you one?~"

"Meow~"

"Hehe, ok ok, let see, it needs to be cool and awesome sounding, with a hint of power and originality, OH I KNOW!~"

The red gem then started to reform and change shape into a more humanoid form, that had pale skin, a black suit, black hair in a devil horn style, red eyes, and black sharp nails, which were obviously attached to each pair of hands, one of which that was currently reaching out and placed under the chin of the cat, which was suddenly given red stripes on it further and looked a bit more feral and wild, but besides that, the black cat was still it's normal self

"Hello Teekl, my name is Klarion, your new best friend~"

Ok, I was convinced and now I like this character now, yay~
