Naruto was standing in a room with his team, team eight, team nine, team ten, the Suna trio, the sound ninja, the trio from Kiri and three more Konoha genin. Naruto looked around impressed by the ninja to then look forward at the Hokage who was standing on a small viewing area with the proctors of the first and second part of the exam. Naruto saw the Hokage look at the twenty-four ninja to hear " It's time you know the truth of the Chunin Exams. See we use the exams in replacement for war." Naruto's eyes widened and after a few seconds of silence he heard the Hokage say " War shows a village's strength but also it's war and a lot of people could die in war including civilians. When the villages were created the Exams came to exist to show a village power like war without unnecessary deaths. The third part is a one on one tournament. If you lose a fight doesn't mean you won't be promoted but the more fights you're in the more you get to show off your skill.' Naruto just gave a slight nod to then see a Konoha Jonin land next to the Hokage and heard " Hokage-sama I would like to take it from here."
Naruto saw the Jonin look over all of them to hear " My name is Hayate and I'm the proctor for the preliminaries." Naruto was confused to hear " See the third round is a tournament as you know but Dimo's and other powerful respected people are being their and twelve matches for the first round would get boring and it doesn't show so these preliminaries will make the third round go by faster and show village's true strengths. You will be fighting one on one at random. There are no rules so you can kill but if a friend intervenes or your sensei you automatically quit." Naruto nodded, then they looked up at an electronic board and read: Sasuke Uchiha Vs. Yoroi Akado. Naruto nodded, then he turned and walked to the viewing area that was many feet above the fighting area. After getting up the stairs he found Jonin senseis of all the other teams so he walked to Kakashi who was lucky next to Kurenai. After getting to Kakashi he turned around facing the fighting arena thinking ' Ok, Kakashi sealed the curse mark away but we don't know if the seal will hold.' After a few seconds the match started and Naruto just watched.
After Ten Naruto heard Sasuke be called the winner of the match. Naruto had watched Yoroi who can steal chakra try to steal Sasuke's but his teammate just kept back with his Dojutsu then after ten minutes of just throwing kunai and dodging Naruto saw Sasuke find an opening and then launch a fireball ending the match. After a few seconds Naruto looked back up at the electronic board as names flashed through it. After about ten seconds Naruto saw the board stop and Naruto read: Zaku Abumi Vs. Shino Aburame. Naruto just looked at Shino seeing the bug user look at the arena so he said " Good luck." Naruto saw Shino look at him and nod then turn to walk when they all heard Kiba yell " Yea, Shino kicked his ass." Naruto chuckled as he looked forward, wanting to know who this match would end. After another ten minutes Naruto couldn't help but chuckle as he saw Zaku be carried away in a stretcher, his arms destroyed as he heard Shino explain to Hayate how he used his bugs to plug the pipes in Zaku's arm making them explode. Naruto couldn't help but let out another chuckle as he thought of the match when he heard Hinata say " He played it smart. Distract Zaku with a bug clone and make sure both arms are plugged." Naruto nodded, then he looked back up at the board as names flashed through it and after a few seconds Naruto smiled as he read: Naruto Uzumaki Vs. Tenten. Naruto smirked when he heard Kakashi say " Be careful, I've seen her skill and she's good." Naruto nodded, then he walked over the rail about to jump over when he heard " Be careful." Naruto looked behind him at Hinata and nodded, then he jumped over to the rail. After landing he walked over and stopped in front of Tenten. Naruto saw Tenten smile and then heard her say " The Executioner Blade, A great sword. I've heard of you and you don't use it well." Naruto nodded, drawing his sword and said " True, but I happily carry this blade and will never lose it." Naruto then grabbed the handle with both hands facing Tenten and said " I hear you are good with a lot of weapons including swords. Let's see if I can learn a few things." Naruto saw Tenten smile as she unsealed a sword from a scroll then heard her say " Yea, I don't mind teaching you."
Naruto stood there staring at Tenten when they both heard Hayate say " Start." Naruto saw Tenten charge going for a slash but he deflected it then he kicked Tenten in the gut making her stumble back. Naruto then twirled, going for a slash for Tenten to dodge. Naruto deflected a few kunai from Tenten then they charged at each other. Naruto had clashed with Tenten for ten minutes not being able to land a scratch on Tenten but she landed a few on him. Naruto brought his sword up blocking Tenten's sword when he saw Tenten quickly grab a kunai and slash up hitting his wrists. Naruto jumped back dropping his sword to quickly dodge a couple of kunai then heard " Your hands are your biggest weakness while fighting with a sword. Naruto nodded as he said " Well then I guess it's time for me to use Ninjutsu. Naruto quickly did hand signs then said with a smirk " Water Style Hidden Mist Jutsu."
Hinata stared at the mist-covered arena hearing footsteps so she sighed. Hinata just continues to watch to hear " He needs to work on his stealth." Hinata nodded surprised that Naruto was being this loud when she got more surprised seeing the mist clearing up only after a few minutes. Hinata was now confused which made her say " This is weird." Hinata looked at Kurenai seeing her confused with Kakashi also confused so she said " His stealth is a lot better then that and the mist is clearing up only after a few minutes. He could hold the mist for hours on end." Hinata saw Kurenai just nod but heard Kakashi say " He's planning something." Naruto nodded, then looked to see Naruto standing in front of Tenten, a kunai in hand, to then hear Tenten say " No offense but that was useless." Hinata saw Naruto smirking and then heard " Was it?" Hinata's eyes then went wide seeing Naruto disappear in a puff of smoke so she said " Shadow Clone." Hinata just looked when she heard Neji say " He must have run, he's not even in the arena." Hinata's eyes widened again for all of them to hear " Now Neji are you sure." Hinata looked around to see nothing to hear " The mist was for me to hide." Hinata continued looking around when she saw two arrows appear and fly at Tenten, one cutting her on the cheek."
Hinata was in complete shock and confused to hear " Not to be mean Tenten but this is fucking fun." Hinata then saw two more arrows from somewhere else shot at Tenten and she just watched this for a good ten minutes knowing everyone was confused. After ten minutes Hinata heard Tenten say " Show yourself." Hinata heard a chuckle then heard Naruto say " Ok." Hinata's eyes then went wide seeing a huge bat just appear from the wall and fly at Tenten grabbing her. Hinata saw Naruto look around as he's on Ruiino then he saw him use his chakra to walk to the underside of the bat then heard " Funny thing about the bat " They can use their chakra to reflect light and make them invisible even from Hyuga's." Hinata's eyes widened to hear Naruto say " I could either knock you out or you quit." Hinata saw Tenten try to kick Naruto but saw Naruto step back then heard " your choice." Hinata then saw Naruto drop to the ground then heard Ruiino don't drop her." Hinata saw the bat nod then drop Tenten for her to be kicked in the stomach by Naruto making her fly to a wall knocking her out. Hinata smiled to hear Hayate say " Winner Naruto Uzumaki." Hinata just chuckled as Ruiino disappeared in a puff of smoke and just smiled at her boyfriend.
Naruto sighed as he stopped next to Kakashi to hear " That was smart." Naruto shrugged and said " I never really used my bow and my body isn't fully back up including my chakra so I need to use the least amount possible." Naruto then looked at Hinata hearing " I thought you said you told me everything." Naruto chuckled, then he said " I needed to have my advantage just in case we fought." Naruto saw Hinata just nod so he chuckled to then look up at the board as names flashed through it.
( Ok do to me running out of space for this chapter I'm going to just give you winners and how they won. First, Sakura vs. Ino is a tie just like cannon, second is Temari vs. Kabuto, who lost after a few minutes, was launched to a wall by Temari. Kin vs Shikamaru is like cannon. Neji vs. Beta, Beta tried to stay back but failed and quickly lost to Neji, Kei vs. Choji, Kei won by making Choji roll into a wall but she took damage. Dosu vs. Kiba defeated Dosu by using a sound that made Kiba and Akamaru paralyzed. Gaara Vs. Rock Lee is just like cannon. Misumi vs. Kankuro is cannon.)
Hinata was standing in the viewing area just looking at the empty fighting area to hear " Ok, the last match came down. Hinata and Roshin." Hinata nodded and walked over to the rail to hear " Be careful and kick his ass." Hinata smiled at Naruto's words and nodded, then jumped over the rail. Hinata got in front of Roshin seeing him have his sword out then heard " I'll kill you bloodline trash." Hinata just sighed as she drew her bo staff then she got into her stance not saying anything. After a few seconds she and Roshin both heard Hayate say " Start." Hinata jumped back as Roshin tried to strike her with his sword and after landing she drew a couple of kunai and threw it. Hinata saw Roshin deflect the kunai then charge but this time Hinata stayed still. Hinata held up her metal staff as Roshin brought his sword down. Hinata pushed her staff as it grinded against the sword then after making sure that the sword was on one end of the staff she twisted the other end detaching it. Hinata twirled hitting Roshin in the ribs then she reattached her staff and just stood behind the Kiri ninja. Hinata saw Roshin turn and heard " Well, I'm going to have fun." Hinata then saw Roshin draw three kunai and threw which she deflected to then see Roshin in the air bring his sword down. Hinata tried to dodge but as she did the sword came in contact with her arm cutting her sleeve and her arm which also made Hinata stumble back. Hinata tried to get her foot or dodge but the onslaught by Roshin wasn't letting her. After about a minute she got her footing and jumped back on her staff on the other side of the arena. Hinata just did some hand signs then said " Water Style Water Bullet Jutsu." Hinata shot her jutsu seeing it flying at Roshin for the Kiri ninja to dodge it, then heard " interesting, someone like your bloodline trash knows more jutsu than her clan techniques." Hinata just sighed again, the cuts painful when she saw Roshin charge. Hinata started hand signs but it was too late and she was kicked in the stomach. Hinata groaned as she hit the wall and after falling onto her hands and knees she saw a shadow. Hinata looked up seeing Roshin sword up and heard " Die you trash." As the sword came down Hinata per her fingers in a cross sign on the ground then the next thing she and everyone else saw as puff of smoke behind Roshin then for Roshin to fall to the ground knocked out.
Naruto smiled as he looked at the fight, seeing two Hinata when he heard Kurenai say " Shadow Clone, I don't even know that." Naruto looked at Kurenai to see a Jonin look at him then heard " You taught her that I assume." Naruto nodded and said " Don't worry, she's maxed to one clone and she's got enough chakra to shoot one C-rank jutsu." Naruto saw Kurenai nod then they all looked forward hearing Hayate say " Winner Hinata." Naruto smiled when he heard Kiba yell " Hell, yea." Naruto smiled then he looked back at Hinata as Roshin was carried away. Naruto saw Hayate step to the middle of the arena then heard him say " Ok, the winners please come down here." Naruto nodded, then after everyone was down he saw Hayate hold out a box and then heard " Draw one number." After everyone drew, Naruto found out he's fighting Sasuke for the first round. Hinata is fighting Neji in the second round. He also found out Shikamaru is fighting Temari in the third round, Dosu fighting Kei in the fourth round, Kankuro, Shino and Gaara fighting in a one vs one three way style. After hearing the last of the matches they were dismissed, with the third round taking in one month from that day.
Naruto sighed as he turned to leave when he heard " You don't think you'll go anywhere brother." Naruto sighed to Gaara's words then said, turning around " Gaara." Naruto saw Gaara point his hand and sand start to float to hear the Hokage yell " Suna get your Genin under control." Naruto saw the Suna Jonin land next to Gaara when he felt a pain in his head so he started to channel the Kyuubi's chakra. After a couple seconds in silence Naruto heard " Repeat after me to calm him down." Naruto mentally nodded, then he looked at Gaara straight into his eyes and said " Ninja Art Soul Chakra Separation." Naruto saw Gaara's eyes go wide then his hand lower so he said " You pull that stunt to me or to anyone in Konoha I'll use it." Naruto saw Gaara nod, then Naruto saw Gaara turn around then heard Gaara say " We're leaving." Naruto sighed as he saw Gaara walk off when he heard Hinata whisper what is that jutsu?" Naruto stopped channeling the Kyuubi's chakra and then whispered back " A jutsu that can destroy a chakra system with demonic chakra. If a biju is in the person that the jutsu is being applied to they have a chance of dying and not returning." Naruto saw Hinata nod then heard " Ok." Naruto sighed then turned around to see Shikamaru in front of him then heard " How in all mighty hell did you scare him. We saw him in the forest and he's vicious." Naruto nodded and then said " Ok." Naruto then walked off with Hinata leaving everyone curious beside one Uchiha who was just angry.
