Chapter 14: Toads and Monkeys

Naruto was with Hinata standing in front of Hiruzen in the Hokage's office just a day after the preliminaries. Naruto was looking at Hiruzen as he set down a paper and heard " Sorry, I just had to finalize Shikaku Nara doing my job for the next month." Naruto was now curious and already had idea's to hear " Naruto I wanted to tell you that Kakashi wants to meet you at your team's training ground." Naruto nodded, then Hinata turned as well to hear Hiruzen say " Hinata I need you to stay, we have some talking to do." Naruto just chuckled, then he looked at Hinata and said " Catch up tonight." Naruto saw Hinata nod so he left heading to training ground seven.

Hinata let out a sigh as she saw Naruto leave, then she turned and said " Hokage-sama, I hope this doesn't take long? I would like to get to Kurenai Sensei as early as I can to begin training." Hinata saw Hiruzen nod then heard " Hinata, no need to be so formal and for Kurenai she won't be training you." Hinata's eyes widened to hear " Hinata, I haven't seen someone use a bo staff in so long. Everyone mainly uses swords or some form and maybe a bo staff but are as good as you." Hinata smiled a small blush appearing to hear " Hinata I know you know that I used a bow staff in my youth and have the monkey summoning contract which my animal turns into a staff. I would like to train you personally. It's your choice." Hinata's eyes widened and she nodded then said a little too loudly " Yes, of course. Hokage… Sarutobi Sensei." Hinata saw Hiruzen smile then heard " Good, Give me an hour then I'll meet me back at the tower." Hinata nodded again with a smile and quickly left, not believing that the Hokage was going to train her.

* Thirty Minutes Later *

Naruto sighed as he walked onto training ground seven when he heard " Hey." Naruto looked up at Kakashi and just waved as he walked up to the one-eyed Jonin. After about twenty seconds Naruto looked up as he stopped in front of Kakashi to hear " I'm here to talk about your training." Naruto just sighed and said " Let me guess you're training Sasuke." Naruto saw Kakashi nod so he was about to turn to leave " Wait, You don't think I want to train you. If Sasuke didn't have the Sharingan I would be training you but he does and I'm the only one that knows how to use it." Naruto sighed again to hear " I even got a special friend to help you with training." Naruto looked at Kakashi to hear " You think I'm special." Naruto turned around for his eyes to go wide, staring at Jariya, one of the legendary Sannin and a seal master. Naruto just looked at the Sannin to hear " Not that he only knows seals, he's more powerful than me and I thought could be helpful." Naruto nodded when he heard Jariya say " You're lucky, he pulled me away from my research." Naruto was now interested in this research when he saw Jariya walk up with a smirk and heard " That jutsu you used to knock out the Hokage." Naruto nodded to see Jariya start rubbing his hands together then heard " You pulled me from my research so you should use if to give me research." Naruto's eyes widened then he said " You pervert." Naruto saw Jariya just smirking then saw him jump back being dramatic then heard " No, I'm a super pervert." Naruto's eyes widened then he looked at Kakashi then at Jariya and said " You make those stupid orange books do you?" Naruto saw Jariya glare at him then heard the Sannin say " They aren't stupid, they are a piece of art." Naruto then saw Jariya try to punch him but he stepped back and said " Whatever and ok I will train with him, Kakashi." Naruto then looked at Kakashi to see him nod and then heard " Ok, good and I'll be checking in once a week." Naruto nodded and said " Ok." Naruto then looked at Jariya to hear " Ok, kid come on I'm going to need to see your skills. Especially in sealing, Kakashi says you're good." Naruto nodded and as they started walking to hear " Have you ever sensed or felt another chakra in you?" Naruto chuckled and said " If you're talking about Kyuubi then yea and before you say anything I don't use his power as it isn't mine. I only use it as a last resort and if you call he isn't a demon." Naruto looked at Jariya, seeing him in shock, then heard " Ok then never mind." Naruto nodded and then heard " That was really my plan and for you to sign a summoning contract." Naruto chuckled to hear " Don't you dare tell me you have a summoning contract?" Naruto let out a louder chuckle then said " Yep, Pervy Sage." Naruto saw Jariya look at him with a glare then heard " Hey." Naruto shrugged and said " Hey, you said you're a pervert and you're the great Toad Sage so what am I doing wrong." Naruto saw Jariya just look away which made him chuckle again.

After ten minutes of walking Naruto was on another training ground with Jariya to hear " Well kid I have no idea what we are going to do." Naruto sighed then said " The contract you have the toads right?" Naruto saw Jariya nod so he said " Well, my contract is the bats and they are good for stealth which is useful but if I had to fight the bats are basically useless. I mean a toad would be helpful." Naruto saw Jariya nod then heard " I've never heard someone have been able to summon two different animals." Naruto nodded then said " So what do we need to do? I know I've got to talk to the clan head of the toads." Naruto saw Jariya nod then heard " You should get the clan head of the bats just in case." Naruto nodded, then he bit his thumb then did some hand signs and after finishing he slammed his hand on the ground saying " Summoning Jutsu."

Naruto saw a poof of smoke and after the smoke disappeared Naruto had a smile on his face as he looked at Ruiino to hear " If I remember you still apart of the Chunin Exams?" Naruto nodded and said " Can you get the head of your clan? I have an opportunity to sign the toad contract but I need her or him." Naruto saw Ruiino nod then heard " Give me a second." Naruto nodded as he saw Ruiino disappear in a puff of smoke to then hear a booming voice say " Jariya you know not to summon me." Naruto turned around and faced a huge red toad to then hear Jariya say " Gamabunta I know but I need you for something. No fighting, just talk." Before anything else he turned back around after seeing smoke in the corner of his eye. Naruto looked to see Ruiino and a bat that is red and black with no saddle so he walked over to Ruiino to hear " So your the summoner we have and I trust Ruiino but I want to know something." Naruto nodded and then said " First, what's your name?" Naruto saw the female bat nod and then heard " Rue." Naruto nodded and said, " Well then Rue what do you want to talk about?" Naruto heard a scoff from the bat and then heard the female bat say " You should show me respect." Naruto chuckled coldly and said " You don't know anything about my life or me so I'll give you a break but for me my respect is not given." Naruto saw the bat nod then heard " Well, Ruiino you were right. He's ballsy. Ok well let's get to business." Naruto nodded as he got onto Ruiino then they flew up in front of Gamabunta. After a few seconds of silence he heard the toad say " What is the meaning of this?" Naruto sighed then said " Pervy Sage has offered to let me sign the toad contract with your permission of course but I have the bats and we thought both heads should be here." Naruto saw the toad give a slight nod to then hear Gamabunta say " Pervy Sage?" Naruto chuckled and then he said " Jariya." Naruto saw Gamabunta's eyes widened then heard " Ok brat you're already on my good side." Naruto chuckled to hear Rue say " Naruto, why do you want to sign the toad contract?"

Naruto sighed then said " The bats are a created contract and useful for the ninja I want to be but you are not for combat and the toads are. The toads would be a benefit, that's all." Naruto saw Rue nod then heard Gamabunta say " Ok why should I let you?" Naruto sighed as he channeled Kyuubi's chakra and said, rubbing his back, " Because my back has been hurting since I saw Pervy Sage." Naruto saw Gamabunta confused so he said " Sorry, you didn't do it to me but he's making me feel it." Naruto saw Gamabunta's eyes widened then heard " For fuck sakes." Naruto just chuckled and then said " So do we get a deal?" Naruto saw Gamabunta nod then heard " Yea, we do." Naruto nodded then said " Ok, now for my questions. Do you have a toad that isn't as big as you? I might use a toad and you would destroy the arena." Naruto saw Gamabunta nod then heard the massive toad say " Yea, but actually there is a toad you are only allowed to summon and only other's as a last resort. My son Gamakichi, he has no training." Naruto just nodded and then said " Ok." Naruto saw Gamabunta nod then heard " Jariya don't you dare summon me again." Naruto then saw the huge toad disappear in smoke and Jariya jump to a tree so he looked at Rue to hear " I agree." Naruto nodded, then he said " Ruiino, I might be summoning the toads but I think we should train just in case of combat. Even if you move faster and can be a distraction is more helpful then how you are now. No offense." Naruto heard a chuckle then heard Ruiino say " Ok." Naruto nodded then he turned and jumped to a nearby tree as the two bats returned home.

Hinata was breathing heavily as she leaned against a tree to hear " You did good." Hinata looked up at Hiruzen and then said in between deep breaths " I didn't land a hit on you." Hinata saw Hiruzen smile then heard " Hinata I didn't start using a bo staff until I was a Chunin and I got into it due to me finding the monkey summoning contract. You are doing good." Hinata just nodded to hear " I do want to ask about your staff. It comes apart." Hinata nodded then said " Yea, when I started using the staff I would train with it but once a day I would spar with Naruto. During one spar and at this time I had a basic wooden staff he reacted on instinct and used his sword breaking it but then I reacted without thinking and using them both. He pointed out it might be good so I then had a staff made." Hinata saw Hiruzen nod then she stood her breathing returning to normal when she heard Hiruzen say " Hinata I'm going to be straight with you." Hinata nodded to hear Hiruzen say " I'm old and you know that and we both know I'm going to die soon. My grandson Konohamaru, I'm the only thing he has left. I know he'll be fine with Assuma, my son but still. I promised myself to pass along the monkey to him no matter what and I need to keep that promise."

Hinata nodded then said " You know Naruto would keep it until he thought Konohamaru was ready. He does train the kid after all." Hinata saw Hiruzen nod then heard " True but it'll be hard for him to know if he can sign it. The monkey's have an expectation with a bo staff. I got lucky and they let me keep the contract and train but Konohamaru will have it hard. I would like you to sign the contract. You're not at the expectation they want but I know the head and he'll know you'll be good to sign." Hinata's eyes widened and she nodded then said " I will love to sign it and I promise you, Sarutobi Sensei, that I'll make sure Konohamaru gets the contract." Hinata saw Hiruzen smile and nod then heard " Ok, then give me a second. Hinata saw Hiruzen bite his thumb then do some hand signs and then saw him slam his palm to the ground while yelling " Summoning Jutsu." Hinata looked at a cloud of smoke then heard " What battle are we in this time Hiruzen?" Hinata waited for the cloud of smoke to disappear and after it did he saw Hiruzen standing with his summoning monkey Enma. Hinata saw Enma look at the old Hokage then at her to hear " A signature?" Hinata nodded to hear " Ok, well show me." Hinata nodded as she followed her sensei and after getting into her stance she charged.

* Twenty Minutes Later *

Hinata sighed as she whipped her forehead with her arm to hear " You're not even close to what the monkey's expect." Hinata looked at Enma and just nodded looking down to hear " But Hiruzen is right. You're good but I would never let you sign it." Hinata just nodded again, still looking down to hear " But I'm going to let you." Hinata looked up to hear " It's because it's the way you fight. See in my land there are these twins that are really rare in my world. They both can turn into once half a bo staff of each side and together they can turn into one. You'll have to work with them but you'll be the only one who will really get us out of them." Hinata smiled and nodded and then said " Thank you." Hinata saw Enma smile then heard " You're welcome but if you slack off or don't improve I'll be forced to remove your signature." Hinata nodded as he saw Enma set a big scroll on the ground " On the other hand it's time to sign. After signing it Hinata got the hand signs from Hiruzen and then was instructed to summon her monkeys.

After finishing the hand signs she slammed her hand onto the ground saying " Summoning Jutsu." Hinata sighed as she stared at smoke to hear " We've been summon." Hinata waited for the smoke to disappear and after it did he stared at two monkeys that were small. ( If you need a better size for the monkeys, think of the monkey Konohamaru summons in Boruto.) Hinata looked to see one monkey have white fur while the other black but the white monkey wore a black jacket and pants with a black bandana on the forehead with the black monkey wearing the same outfit but white. Hinata saw the monkeys looking at her and then heard " Did you summon us?" Hinata nodded with a smile to see the white fur monkey smile and heard " I'm Ruto and my brother is Yuto." Hinata nodded again then said " That's going to be hard to not get your names mixed up." Hinata saw Ruto give a big smile but Yuto just stare." Hinata looked at Yuto to see the monkey look away and heard " So what do we do?"
