Chapter 1 The Final Battle

5 years later…

Jay's point of view

There was what can only be described as a cosmic flash and…

"Lang?"
"Stark? Rhodes?"
"You were right the first time, it's Stark. By adoption Are you OK?"
"I'm good… what happened?"
"Thanos! He said he was going to wipe out half of existence, and he has."

Scott's point of view
"I was in the Quantum Realm… you have to be absolutely miniscule to get in there… and time is totally different in there… how long ago did Thanos happen?"
"5 years"

"Oh… that was 5 hours in the Quantum Realm. Gee, Quantum Realm is a bit of a mouthful, maybe I'll just start calling it the QR. Hope and Hank… didn't survive, did they?"

"Yes we did."

"Hope and I had just started dating and I was about to introduce her to Cassie. I hope you don't mind Hank"
"Cassie also survived she babysits for us all the time. She's a sweet girl and the twins love her. She joined The Babysitters Club."

"I have an idea… we're going to need one or two very big brains…"

"I don't mind you two dating but just remember one thing, Hope is my only child and if you hurt her, I'll enlarge the ants and let them feast on you!"

"I promise Hank, I won't hurt her. Speaking of Hope, where is she?"

"I'm here Scott"
"Hope… damn I forgot how gorgeous you are…"

"We have four very big brains here, we should be able to fix what Thanos did and bring everyone back." said Hank

"I'd say we have probably 10 big brains actually… Tony, Obie, Howard, Peggy, Bruce, Hank, Jay, Pepper Hope and well I might not have done too well in school, but I'm no slouch when it comes to the physical side"
"Hope, make sure he puts a ring on it, this one's a keeper" said Peggy I blushed.

Pepper's point of view

*6 years after The first Time Heist*

Tony and I were parents to twin girls who were now 11 years old. He had retired from being an avenger after Thanos.

"Girls, come here please… NOW"

"OK Mom"

"We're going to fight Thanos… you need to stay right here and not leave."

"But…"
"Do you want me to call Aunt Steph, so she can babysit?"
"OK. I don't see why we can't help you in the battle."

"Because I said so, that's why"

Tony's point of view

The battle that was going on around me would haunt my nightmares for months after along with the entire time heist fiasco.

Strange held up one trembling finger. The irreparably damaged nerves and tendons in his hands from the car accident which had almost killed him nine years earlier, causing the essential tremors. His ice cold blue-grey eyes held an urgency I hadn't seen there before.

I turned and saw the mad titan moving minaciously towards Pepper, and I lost it. I flew over head and blasted him in the side of the face.

"Leave her alone, Grimace, or I will obliterate that gigantic chin of yours!" I landed beside Pepper.

She handed me three of the infinity stones and put on a gauntlet containing the other three. I pulled her into my arms and we kissed. Thanos looked utterly repulsed before he said

"I am inevitable"

*SNAP*

Nothing happened.

"AND WE… ARE… IRON MAN!" said Pepper and me together.

Pepper and I kissed… hard. The air glowed purple.

*SNAP*

There was an ALMIGHTY explosion and a white flash of light… Thanos and all of his armies became dust.

I heard Pepper yelping. Her faceplate was up, she looked exhausted, worse than when she'd had the twins eleven years earlier. Her beautiful face was badly gashed. I pulled her into my arms.

"You did it! You stopped him" said Strange, coming over to check on us.

"Friday?" I managed even though I already knew what was coming.

"Life functions critical for both of you Boss" my AI replied

Pepper held up the amulet my mother had given her when we were preparing for the battle. She placed it in her hand and mine and whimpered

"Sanctuary"

The amulet's spell took us back to the Stark Eco-Compound. My grasp on consciousness was tenuous at best. I heard footsteps and two terrified screams, and I knew no more.

Morgan's point of view

"Mom, wake up please… wake up" I glanced up to see my sister Meg trying the same thing with our father…

"They can't come back yet"

"There has to be a way to bring them back"

"I have an idea" said Meg
