Chapter 2: Orders from The One Who is Called I Am.
God's point of view
I was getting ready to leave for the skeeball tournament when a sudden commotion stopped me in my tracks.
"You're a little early"
"That didn't go to plan… Are you OK, Pep?"
"I'm fine, Tony."
"You need to go, My Lady" said Metatron.
"Are you sure you can handle this?"
"Of course"
"All right"
I went to New Jersey to the hotel first to drop off my bag and then to the Arcade for the tournament.
Whenever I visit Earth, I pose as a profoundly deaf person and communicate using American Sign Language. I do this for health and safety reasons.
Were I to use my real voice, I would harm the other people in the conversation (we went through five Adams before we figured that out!) Since Metatron can't be with me every time, notecards and American Sign Language were the safest options.
I scored 350 in the first round, 550 in the second and 475 in the third. When the second round started, I scored a 350, a 490 and a 470. I qualified for the semi-finals the next day. I went back to the hotel room and ate… had a bath and was about to get ready to go to sleep when something odd happened. Furthermore, I felt a lot of distress and anxiety coming from Heaven. I called Metatron.
"Do you need me to come back? I can drop out of the tournament if you require me to".
"No it's OK. Potts and Stark both sacrificed themselves, and Meg and Morgan have taken it upon themselves to borrow their aunt Hermione's time turner and go back to 2016 and change things."
"OK"
"Good luck with the rest of the tournament"
"Thank you"
The next morning I got up, stretched, ate breakfast and went over to the arcade. I felt something very ominous coming from Heaven. I didn't play anything like as well as I had in the first games. In fact, I lost in the semi-finals. I paid my bill, packed up my runner-up trophy and my clothes and went back to Heaven.
"How did you do?"
"I got to the Semi-Finals. I think I was subconsciously trying to lose, though."
"You didn't win?"
"No, but I do have this to put in the cabinet"
"Was it on purpose?"
"Subconsciously, I think"
"So Stark's girls?"
"Meg and Morgan borrowed Hermione's time turner, and they're planning to go back to the week before The Avengers Civil War actually happened. They're going to tell their parents from back then everything and then set up the mission"
"All right, execute Operation Prevention."
Metatron shuddered.
"That sounds so ominous. Like the scene in Revenge of the Sith…"
"Execute Operation 66?"
"That's the one"
Little did any of us realise that Meg and Morgan were up to something potentially lethal that would fix things…
