Ladybug held the two tickets in her hands staring at the two holes through the center. Her pretty face lapsed into a pout. She loved going to the movies and eating a bucket of buttery popcorn and the sweet soda. At home, her father usually ate an entire bowl before opening credits much to her dismay.
Cat lay on the rooftop watching her. The wind had taken his precious tickets and he had gotten so angry he had stabbed a hole through each one in attempt to save them. He watched Ladybug curiously, did she have an idea on how to salvage them?
Ladybug continued to stare at the tickets. She could taste the popcorn and soda and they would go to a cute rom-com, if Cat was into that kind of movie. Besides, if she didn't fix these tickets she'd be back home not getting any popcorn and watch her father fall asleep and snore throughout the movie. Ugh.
Closing her eyes, she thought about how to fix them. Oh! She knew how to fix the tickets! And she could even use a craft supply. Just then, a strong breeze whipped up and Cat who was to tired from his chase watched in dismay as the tickets nearly flew out of reach. But luckily, Ladybug snatched them back and she dug into her magical yo-yo, tongue poking out.
Cat rubbed his eyes, they looked like brand new tickets. He sat up. "Meow'd you do that?" he asked, not being able to resist a pun. "Tape and now we add a dash of magic," his partner told him, dipping the tickets into the glowing yo-yo. Now, the tickets were brand new.
If Cat thought he had a Cheshire grin, it was no match for Ladybug's. "Ready to go to a movie, Kitty?" she asked, standing up and prepared for take-off. Cat nodded. "Then let's go!"
As Cat followed her across the rooftops, he was even more in awe of her. Why hadn't he thought of tape? And it wasn't even magical!
What was magical was when Cat put his arm around her during the movie. Ladybug flushed and smiled to herself. Spending time with Cat was better then any popcorn, or should she say, butter?
