September 9, 1776, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Colony
The continental congress was in a state of shock somehow a new land mass had just appeared without warning and to make matters worst its location was a week away from North Carolina, the only good news about the land was every British ship that had tried and failed to build a fortress on the new land were destroyed but it was the reason why the congress is in an uproar.
"Strange warriors!? and monsters that either are living rocks or expel lightning from their bodies!? what does the English think we are a bunch of fools!" the familiar voice of Samuel Adams said while the rest of the members try to over-talk one another.
"ORDER!, ORDER!" John Hancock shouted as he used the gavel to make everyone in the room stop their somewhat shouting match.
"While the rumors maybe seem like the nightmares of a tired soldier's mind, the missing body parts with the dead bodies are hard to argue against when they are found in our fishing nets!" the voice of Samuel's cousin John Adams told everyone there, the congressmen had to agree as there was no way an English commander would kill their soldiers to be bait for a trap.
"True, but there is still the matter of what are going to do about this new land and those who call it home?" a man wearing all black attire had asked as he rose from his chair.
"Mr. McKean of Delaware is right! if we sent our soldiers then they will share the same fate as the British soldiers and we can't send one of our delegates to this land because it had only come out of the blue which means the people who called it home won't have heard about a single member of this congress!" other delegate said in agreement with the now known Mr. McKean.
As the delegates went into their debates, a member of the New Jersey delegation remember two young people that help them reach Congress to vote on independence.
"What about sending Dr. Franklin's two young wards?" the oldest member of the New Jersey delegation questioned.
At that all members went silent, while most thought the man had lost his senses others then realize sending children might be their only option as sending a merchant would be out of the question since the merchant will put their needs and wants first and the colonies second.
"I agreed with Reverend Witherspoon but only to send James Hiller and Henri LeFevbre!" Samuel Adams said.
"Why not send young lass as well?" Reverend Witherspoon asks true he hadn't known the girl for long but what harm could she cause.
"I talk with some of the people she had interviewed when Thomas Paine's Common Sense was printed she agreed with the few that still believe we should stay loyal to the Crown! She might convince that new land to side with England!" Samuel Adams answered
"While Mr. Adams is right about where Ms. Phillips' loyalty lies, however, I do believe she won't try talking the new land into taking any sides but instead to stay out of our war together." Benjamin Franklin said.
"Let's settle this with a vote all in favor of sending James Hiller, Henri LeFevbre, and Sarah Phillips?" John Hancock questioned there were only ten hands rise.
"All opposed?" only a single hand had raised.
"Then it has been decided all three of Dr. Franklin's wards will go to this new land and talk to who leads it, hopefully, we will have gained an ally and not a new enemy." John Hancock said as he used the gavel to mark the meeting as close.
"Dr. Franklin please inform your young wards and may the lord protect them." John Hancock said.
At the Pennsylvania Gazette, its staff was hard at work, an well muscle African man is working on the press, he was wearing a plain white blouse, brown pants, and light brown boots, and his hair is black and short.
"I can't believe a new land had appeared! I wonder what it's like over there?" a light-tanned-skin French boy said.
His brown hair is tied back in a short ponytail his eyes are brown as well, the bay's clothing is a blue shirt with a violet vest, brown breeches, white stockings, and black buckled shoes, in his hands is a stack of papers.
"While I agree with you Henri it is most likely that we won't be able to see it, if any of the stories of it is true." the African man said as he lift the press so the boy could change the paper.
"But Moses the people of that land could be our allies." the now-name Henri said as he place the stack next to the printing press.
"I for one think Congress should try to make peace with his majesty with that strange land so near the colonies there's no way the continental army could fight on two fronts!" a pale skin teenage girl with long red hair that she keeps tied back in a low ponytail with a silk blue ribbon, except for one strand which hangs about her face. She has pale green eyes said, the girl wears a dress with a white or light blue bodice featuring a square neck and long sleeves, and a multi-layered blue and white skirt that covers a dainty pair of black buckled shoes. She also wears a gold locket around her neck.
"The same can be said about King George and his forces! they kept trying to build forts only to end up dead, the blockade at New York is getting smaller by the day, and more loyalists are running away to Canada!" a light Caucasian complexion teenage boy said, his eyes are blue and his blond hair is tied into a short ponytail with a black ribbon. He wears a white blouse, a light green vest with gold buttons and pocket flats, dark green breeches, white stockings, and dark brown buckled shoes.
"James is right, Sarah," Henri said while he pointed to the blonde hair boy.
"They both are right Henri, this new land carries the possibility of either side winning the war." the now-named Moses said as he picks up a piece of paper and then places it onto the press.
Then the print shop owner walks in with a grave look on his face.
"I take it from the look on your face the meeting didn't go as hoped," Moses said.
"In some ways yes but, we need to go to a more private room," Dr. Franklin said as he lock the front door.
They all went to Benjamin's laboratory, the good doctor closes the curtains.
"Congress had decided to send James, Sarah, and Henri to the new land and meet with its leader in the hopes of allying with the people who live there doesn't know about the rest of the world and the same could go for us given the fact of what had happened to the British soldiers and their fleet while sending someone around your age is most unwise however we have very few options if we sent a merchant then they would be focusing on their pockets instead of getting the aid we might need," Dr. Franklin told those that were in the room.
While the rest were shocked while the youngest were excited.
"Great! When do we leave?" Henri asks
"Henri this is a serious matter! Congress is asking us to help form an alliance between us and this new land!" James said while he pointed to himself and the French boy.
"They are sending me as well James!" Sarah said as she felt offended.
"It just showed that some members of Congress had started to lose their minds trusting a loyalist to form an alliance you would most likely talk these people into staying out of our war if not have them side with King George!" James said reminding everyone where Sarah stands.
"Enough both of you! like it or not James, Sarah is going and that is that!" Moses said.
"Moses is right all three of you will head for this new land tomorrow." Dr. Franklin told them the two young adults left the room without saying a word to one another.
"Good thing that I don't have much to pack," Henri said.
Boston Harbor
The three youngest went on board the 'St Patrick' one of the sailors ring a bell that signal all hands on deck that they are setting off, James, Sarah, and Henri wave farewell to Moses and Dr. Franklin.
Both men wave back as the 'St Patrick' leaves the harbor inside they worried about what would happen to the three youngest in that strange land.
Inside a Japanese-style palace, a man with short brown hair wearing Japanese-style robes and armor sat on a pillow looking over a map on a short table, then a figure appear from the shadows behind him and kneeling.
"Bugatti mono wa Watashi no shu ni taisho sa re te iya mashi ta," (The outsiders had been dealt with my lord,) the figure said.
"Iki te iru hito wa tsukamae mashi ta ka?" (Did you capture any alive?) the man asks.
"Kare no gaiken kara tatta ichi hito, kare wa Sanka wa yoginaku sa re mashi ta," (Only one from the looks of him, he was forced to join,) the figure answered.
"Kare wa kare no shou no sewa ni tsure te iki, ken kokoro kyou to muyutsu ni heishi no kokoro wa sagura se te kudasai, korera no bugai mono no gengo to watashi tachi no saiai no ie no gai de nani ga okotsu te iru no ka wa hayaku shiru hodo yoi desu," (Take him to have his wound taken care of and have Lord Kenshin and Mewtwo search the soldier's mind, the sooner we know these outsiders' language and what is happening outside of our beloved home the better,) the man ordered.
"Anata ga watashi no shu wa nozomu you ni," (As you wish my lord,) the figure said as they leave the same way they appeared.
