"Linda."

The startled therapist didn't have much time to ready herself before the voice's owner was falling the call of her make through the door to her office.

"Maze." Linda greets after a small clearing of her throat and a slight adjustment to her glasses in a show of bristling annoyance that the hurrying mistress of hell has chosen to ignore as she flings herself towards the seated woman.

"Linda. I got them." Maze beamed "I actually got them." She repeats in what for Maze counted as a choked sob of breath.

Linda blinks in shock as Maze shakes back the sleeve of her leather jacket revealing the fresh marking of raised letters inked into her not so easily marked skin.

"Maze this is…" the therapist gapes hardly daring to believe what she was seeing.

Four very real words scrawled as every human had in the varied marks, they all carried.

The mark of their soul mate.

Their soul mates.

But Maze didn't have a soul, yet she now had the very real very seeable marking of one who did.

"I know right?" Maze says in her own awe.

"Erm Trevor I'm afraid we need to cut this session short." Linda says her widened eyes casting towards the loan patient sitting all but forgotten on the office sofa as Linda herself goes back to marveling in true wonder at the scrawled lettering laying claim over the delicately deadly skin over Maze's pulse point.

"But Doc we have even-" The man on the sofa starts to protest but quiets quickly under Maze's warning glare still crouching with her wrist bare to Linda's awed gaze. "Erm. Sure thing." The man -Trevor- agrees getting up hastily and making for the door "erm see you next week I-" he didn't get to finish his thought over the not-so-quite closing of the office door behind him.

"Maze." Linda says with all the scolding more akin to telling off a so happy puppy with how quickly the giddy childlike awe had returned to the demon's expression as her gaze dropped to the still exposed markings.

For some Maze knew it the marks came as some kind of shadowed outline like Decker had of two angel wings. One was more prestige looking the other more leathered like Lucifer's devil wings than his true angelic ones. Both the light and the darkness.

It was funny watching the way Chloe would rub her fingers over a different side of the 'yin yang' set of wings when she was working. A dead giveaway to any who bothered to notice the movement in helping to gauge the detective's moods during her day. If the day was a good one the cop favored the 'angle' side of her soul marker. If it was a bad one her fingers pressed in warning over the leathery 'devil' marker meaning her boss would be needing to use his 'charms' more than a few times to help pull ungiven details from Chole's informants whilst the angered cop was out 'taking a breather'.

For those like Charlotte Richards hers turned out to be a damned pudding cup that none of them had noticed the thing tucked into the curve of her shoulder once the makeup had been smeared away enough to catch it until Amenadiel was flying the woman upwards towards the silver city.

Trixie was still young to know for sure what her own soul marker would be, but the growing girl was so excited spinning the possibilities Maze couldn't help but envy her.

Well envied her until today that is.

"Who's the new girl." Maze repeated testing out the words once more against the tongue as her fingers skimmed along each letter making up the word against her skin. Then she laughed under her breath chickling her tongue before she cracked a smile that Linda echoed, however shakily in return. "I'll have to give this one some special attention then. I'm far from new."

"Lucky them." Linda snickered already gathering up her purse and jacket. "This calls for drinks." She decides with a happy smile.

Maze's smile turns downright devilish. "I like the way you think."
