A young woman around 23 of age stood in front of a large apartment building in thought not paying anything around too much mind' So this is it? A new start!' she thought to herself her blueish-gray eyes looked at the building for quite some time.
She had moved to Rosewood to get away from her old life to start a new one for reasons that she wanted to forget about she was too focused on the building she didn't hear anyone come up to her.
" Ma'am!?" A female voice had broken her out of her thoughts, turning her head to the owner of the voice to see a young womanwho seemed to be a little older than Soifonstanding a few feet away from her.
Blinking her eyes to clear her thoughts" Is there something wrong?" The raven-haired woman asked the newcomer who walked closer to her once she was noticed.
" No, I was just passing by and then spotted a woman just standing outside this building, just looking at it as if it was going to disappear!" The woman said that she meant it as a friendly joke.
Soifon couldn't help but smile at the woman she can tell when others are joking around and weren't. Usually when people joke around they usually have a different tone than those who wasn't joking.
" Oh, no I just moved here, not too long ago maybe about two days tops, I have just now been able to move into my apartment!" Soifon explained as she turned her gaze back to the apartment, the woman looked at it too" Have you been around her before? If so I don't remember seeing you around because I know almost everyone here!"
" No, it's I just moved here a few days ago but wasn't able to move into my apartment til now, I was waiting on my belongings to get here!"
The woman nodded and looked at Soifon in thought" So you don't know about what goes around in Rosewood?" she asked curiously and let out a soft laugh" Sorry if Im being a little nosey, I am just curious!"
" Anyway, my name is MonaVanderwaal!" She introduced herself extending a hand for Soifon to shake.
Soifon smiled extending her hand to shake Mona's" No it's alright, you are the first to even speak to me!" She said with a small laugh" I'm Soifon Gray!" She said shaking the other woman's hand.
Mona let her hand slide down to her side" Would you like some help unpacking? I can help and show you around as well!"
" I don't want to bother you!" Soifon began as she took a step toward the doors of the apartment building.
"No, I want to help I don't have anything else to do, and maybe we can get to know each other, not many people here are not trusting to anyone new, especially with a murder investigation going on!"
Soifon wanted to decline Mona's offer but couldn't put herself to do it" Okay, I appreciate it!" she said, Mona smiled glad that the woman agreed.
" Great!" she said cheerfully " Well ready to go inside or do you want to gaze at it all day?" Mona asked with a chuckle as the younger woman had been staring at the building for a few minutes before she had showed up" No let's go inside, I don't think it's a really good idea to keep starting like some kind of weirdo!" Soifon said in a joking tone.
Mona couldn't help but laugh at her joke" True, even though you can pass to be a weirdo!" she teased following Soifon inside the building.
" Hey, I do not!" Soifon protested crossing her arms over her chest, Mona looked at her " Are you sure?" she asked and she earned a playful glare" Very funny!" Soifon huffed.
But after a few jokes, both women just laughed it off " Ah, I am just messing around!" Mona said elbowing Soifon gently in the arm" I know!" she replied with a smile.
After a few flights of stairs, the woman reached Soifon's apartment, pulling out her keys Soifon unlocked the door and let Mona in first when the door opened.
Mona walked into the apartment and looked around the living roomwasn't big nor small but it was cute, and there was the kitchenthat met the living room halfway" It's not much but it's something I can call home!!" Soifon said from behind Mona who looked at her.
" No, it's nice why get a big place if it's just you!" Mona pointed out with a smile" And I think it suits you!" Soifon smiled and gave a small nod.
" So what do you need help with?" Mona asked looking around" It looks like the movers got the big stuff where they go!" She replied her brown eyes scanning to see if there was anything else for them to do.
" I do have to put away my books, and movies and put a few pictures up and that's it!" Soifon answered as she walked over to a box that was on the coffee table.
" Would you like me to put some music on, so we can listen to why we work?" Mona asked taking her phone out along with a small blue tooth speaker she had in her purse.
" Sure, I don't mind and it's better than working in silence!" Soifon agreed as she opened up the box, Mona put on a playlist on youtube and That don't impress me muchfrom Shania Twain came on first.
And both women started to unpack and set things where they had go, and just listened to music why they works.
