Hello again, everyone!

I hope you enjoyed the second chapter!

Happy Mother's Day!

Adrien finished his corn porridge, a small bread slice, and a cup of mint tea when Nathalie brought him his tablet.

"Your schedule, Adrien."

"Thank you, Nathalie," Adrien took the tablet and looked at his schedule. It was still the usual: minus the photoshoots—that was replaced with the fittings, but there were still the lessons for fencing, Chinese, piano, and any other additional stuff he had to do.

But before Adrien could say something else, Nathalie replied, "In case you were wondering about your father, he's going to be exceptionally busy today with the fittings for the wedding tomorrow and the celebration party tonight, so…"

Adrien sighed. "Of course."

After breakfast, Adrien was escorted to where the royals would have their fencing practice. He changed into his usual white uniform and left his bag in a locker with Plagg, accompanied by at least half a dozen Camembert boxes and three large bread pieces.

Adjusting his protective tan gloves and the black and orange accents around his fingers, he was impressed with Their Royal Highnesses' skills when he got to the practice room. From how they lunged at each other, their acrobatic feats while dueling, their defensive and offensive movements, and how their saber blades clashed and swung.

The two bowed and took off their helmets; they revealed it was Ekon and Jabari, and they soon noticed Adrien standing.

"Did you enjoy the show?" asked Ekon.

"You two are amazing!" Adrien praised their skills.

Jabari shook his older brother's hand after their mock duel. "Thank you. Fencing is more than just a good workout; it's a demanding but noble sport to learn discipline, independent thinking, and the mindset, whether it is your own or your opponent's."

Adrien opened his mouth, ready to say something, when someone else said, "It's a synonym of 'grace-under-pressure.'"

The boys cocked their heads towards Aisha, who had just arrived, already in an all-purple quilted uniform and her helmet on her head.

"You fence?" she asked, walking closer to him while her younger brothers backed away to the side.

Adrien hoped he didn't sound like he was bragging. "I'm considered to be the best back home in Paris at my school's club."

"Ooh…" Aisha smirked. "May I suggest a combat or two against moi?"

Adrien lowered his helmet before answering, "Oui-oui."

Aisha lowered hers, and the two went into position, facing off. Adrien touched his saber on Aisha's shoulder, and she felt him with hers. The two bowed and walked apart; Adrien bent his saber blade while Aisha whipped and swung hers.

"Let's do this without the machine," Aisha suggested.

Adrien shrugged. "Fine with me."

Alya knew Marinette would be feeling a bit down since Adrien was out of town—out of the country—going to a royal wedding, so she called Rose, Alix, Mylène, and Juleka for some emergency girl time at Trocadero, an area in the 16th arrondissement, across the Seine from the Eiffel Tower.

They were at their favorite green bench. "Ah, isn't this a perfect day?" asked Rose, opening the wicker picnic basket and scooping a triangle sandwich. "The sun is shining, the weather's nice, there's not a single cloud in the sky…"

"Feels like a bit gray to me…" Marinette slumped forward, focused on her phone.

Juleka practiced on her bass guitar, "Ah-ah-ah…"

"Oh, Marinette…" Alix wheeled backward around some cones on her roller skates.

Alya snatched her bestie's phone and saw what Marinette was so absorbed on. It was an article of the Agreste family being greeted by the Nikenobian royalties, but it was a photo of the princess greeting Adrien and the latter looking charmed by her.

"Wow, she really is pretty," Mylène complimented the princess.

Marinette had her hand on her cheek. "Not only is she a gorgeous and rich princess, but she and her brothers are among their country's youngest graduates and are high I.Q. genius prodigies in their own rights, but she can speak a bunch of languages, and also an acrobat, martial artist, markswoman, and sooo much more." She exhaled.

"Marinette, it's only for the weekend," Alya squatted to her size and threw her arm around her. "What's the worst that could happen?"

Marinette's mouth made a tiny O, and her eye started twitching. Now a bunch of thoughts ran through her mind.

"Oh, girl…" Alya facepalmed her face.

Adrien had a challenging but exhilarating time fencing with the royal children, especially Aisha. All three of them demonstrated excellent skills reflexes and offensive and defensive movements, but there was something about Aisha's prowess that rivaled his and Kagami Tsurugi, and she came from a family of prestigious fencers; both her mother and grandfather were world-famous champions.

Since he still had some time before his private Chinese lesson and fittings, he checked to see if there were any messages on his phone. He saw one from Nino.

Keep on enjoying yourself, bro!

There was one from Alya.

Hope you're having fun but not too much fun!

And a group shot of his friends and a caption that said MISS YOU LOTS!

"Adrien?" Aisha appeared, still in her fencing uniform. "Are you okay?"

Adrien shook his head. "I'm okay; your Hi…" he remembered what Aisha told him yesterday. "Uh…Aisha."

Aisha smiled and took an interest in his phone. "What are you doing? If I may ask?" she backtracked on that last sentence and hoped she wasn't being too pushy.

"Oh, just my friends back home," Adrien showed her the photo on his phone as she sat next to him. "They all miss me."

"You are a lucky boy to have all those friends like that," she commented and pointed her finger at the cute young fair complexed girl whose black hair was in two pigtails, bright bluebell eyes, and light freckles on both sides and bridge of her nose. "Who's she?"

"Oh, that's Marinette Dupain-Cheng," said Adrien. "She's one of my closest friends."

"Marinette—a French diminutive of Marine. One meaning of the name is 'the one who raises;' another one means 'of the sea.' Dupain—of the bread in French. And Cheng—accomplish, truth in Chinese." Adrien gave her a fascinated look. "I am fascinated with linguistics, and part of it is etymology, the study of the origin and their meanings throughout history."

"Well, her parents are the best bakers in Paris," Adrien praised her. "Not to mention, she's sweet, kind, wears her heart on her sleeve, brave, smart, loves fashion, and she's a really awesome girl."

"Ah…" Aisha smiled, shaking her head. "She sounds like a charming girl…" she pointed to the slender boy with dark skin, moderate orange eyes, and a plain red cap. "And he is…?"

"That's my best friend, Nino…"

Soon a sharp voice interrupted the two. "Aisha!" They snapped their heads up, and it was Blessa.

"Come, Princess. We have your royal rehearsals and fittings for tonight's celebration party and the wedding tomorrow."

Aisha understandably nodded and got up. "I'll see you later tonight?"

Adrien quietly answered, "Yes…"

Aisha left the comfort room. Adrien unzipped his bag again, only to see the opened Camembert boxes and Plagg snoring away. Adrien figured to just leave him be and zipped his bag again, leaving the comfort room for his fittings.

Marinette was now with her friends at the Couffine houseboat, watching Kitty Section rehearse; Rose was the lead singer; Ivan on drums; Juleka on bass; and Luka, the guitarist.

"You know I love unicorns. And nothing makes me feel better!"

The song ended, and Marinette, Mylène, Alix, and Alya gave them a quick applause.

"Sweet! You all were awesome!" Nino stopped filming them on his camcorder when his phone began to ring. He gasped when he saw the ID on the video caller. "It's Adrien!" he answered, holding his phone up so Adrien could see his friends. "Hey, my main dude!"

"Hey…"

Marinette's mouth slanted a bit, and her eyes dilated as the conversation went on. "How is it, hanging around royalty?"

"The family's been really good to us, especially Princess Aisha."

Rose fanned herself. "Ooh, what's she like?"

"She's really nice and friendly," answered Adrien. "Princess Aisha even said if she could, she'd love to meet you all whenever she's in Paris."

The entire group blushed in admiration, even Marinette, though she blushed away in shyness.

"Well, don't forget about us little people when you get back."

Adrien chuckled. "No problem. Ooh! I have to get going. Father scheduled a dance rehearsal for me tonight with the princess since he wants me to have a dance with her."

Marinette gulped the golf ball size lump that was in her throat. Oh no, she said distantly in her head. He gets to dance with a princess…

"Talk to you soon."

"Later, dude!" Nino hung up. "My best bro's having the time of his life."

"Y-y-yeah, he joy is…" Marinette stuttered. "I-I-I mean, he sure is," she chuckled nervously before flashing an awkward smile. They felt for her due to her intense love for the boy. It was just a few more days until he returned home, and everything would go back to normal.

Well, almost normal.
