Chapter 11 Agent Carter one shot

Peggy's point of view

Serendipity waited until we were back in our seats before she had Rufus read out the synopsis for Agent Carter.

"This movie is a little shorter than Captain America The First Avenger and be warned it deals with misogyny head on."

British operative Peggy Carter joins the nascent S.H.I.E.L.D. organization, searching for the "Zodiac" key. Agent Carter also battles her misogynistic, bureaucratic boss, Agent Flynn.

Why is Peggy working for the SSR? (Steve)

"I kept the job with the SSR because I needed to support myself"

Zodiac

"Zodiac is terrible"

"Flynn is a DICK!"

"You have no idea how much of a dick he actually was"

"Those morons were treating Peggy like a silly little girl"

"Why didn't you stand up to him?"

Time sensitive mission

I watched myself taking down the coordinates for the mission and took care of it myself.

"This is why you don't mess with Agent Carter" said Howard

"I hated when people treated me like that"

Trouble

The next morning at the office Flynn takes Peggy to task over taking a mission alone.

No one is above protocols not even Captain America's old flame!

"OK see this is where I'd have punched him on the nose and bitten him on the arm at the very least. I guess that explains why I will NEVER be employable." said Constance

"If I'm remembering this properly, Peggy gave him a severe tongue lashing."

"Yes I did, which was well deserved… I did slap him when he tried to flirt with me"

A call from Howard Stark

Howard was furious with Flynn because of his attitude

Running S.H.I.E.L.D.

"I was honoured to have the opportunity to run the STRATEGIC HOMELAND INTERVENTION, ENFORCEMENT AND LOGISTICS DIVISION"

The bikini

"I didn't feel all goofy until I saw Peggy in one of those things for the first time"

"You're right, it was short" I said then I heard Ned hiss

"Dude, your grandmother just made a Star Wars reference… sort of"

"You were right about one thing Master… the negotiations were short" I said in my best Obi-Wan Kenobi voice. Ned fainted.

As MJ, Peter and the other club members brought Ned around Tony started to whistle Duel of the Fates.

AN: I'm no Star Wars aficionado, but I LOVE the Phantom Menace. I know a lot of people don't but I was born in 1982 AFTER Episode 6 came out (I don't remember what the title of that one is!)
