The rest of the school year pasted without any incident for Hermione. She and Malfoy made pleasant conversations, and rebonded with the Slytherins. After the graduation ceremony she hugged everyone and said her goodbyes to her classmates before joining the Weasleys and their respective mates. "I'm so happy for you." Molly told her as they hugged.

"I'm sure your parents would be proud." Arthur told her, Hermione just gave a small smile in response.

"Is Malfoy joining us?" Molly asked hesitantly as they all entered the Burrow.

"He didn't think some of the family members would be too thrilled." Hermione told her. "He promised to try coming for Sunday lunches though."

"Smart man." Arthur chuckled.

"I highly doubt he'd be Hermione's soulmate if he wasn't." Molly responded as she floated the food out to the tables that the boys set out outside.

"What are you talking about?" Ron asked as he reached out for some food.

"Malfoy." Molly said swatting at his hand. "And not yet, not everyone is here yet." Hermione looked around at the group that filled the two large tables and raised an eyebrow.

"Who else is coming? Bill and Fleur are here, Percy and Charlie are here, George and Angela are here, Ginny and Harry, as well as Luna, her father, and Neville with his grandmother are all here."

"Are you sure this is okay?" Narcissa asked as she appeared beside Hermione.

"Bloody hell!" Ron said jumping up, noticing the woman for the first time.

"Of course," Molly said. "You know my kids." Molly started the introductions as Hermione approached Malfoy.

"Pleasant surprise?" Malfoy asked, looking around.

"Very, why did you tell me you weren't coming?" Hermione asked.

"So I could surprise you. I was expecting your parents." Malfoy said looking at her. "I get why they were not at Hogwarts but I was expecting them here." Hermione sighed.

"The summer before seventh year, before Ron Harry and I went on the run, I obliviated my parents and sent them to Australia so they would be safe from You – Know - Who."

"That is why your parents have been a touchy subject." Malfoy commented.

"Yup, come on, let's eat, I don't particularly want to talk about it." She took Malfoy's hand and walked to the table.

Towards the end of the meal, the couple ignoring glares from Ron, Hermione looked up in shock when McGonagall appeared and called her name.

"McGonagall," Hermione said, getting up and following the Professor away from the group. "How can I help you?"

"As you know, last year I taught Transfiguration as well as acting as Headmaster." Hermione nodded. "I have been asked to be the actual Headmaster so I need a Transfiguration professor. I thought you could act as a teacher's aid this year, and next year you will teach some classes on your own, and eventually you will be the Transfiguration teacher."

"I would love to." Hermione said. "Thank you."

"Of course. I will owl you copies of my teaching plans, and you will come in the beginning of August and start moving in, you have to be fully moved in by the 25th of August so you will be comfortable when the students start."

"Thank you so much." Hermione said as Malfoy walked up to them.

"Everything ok?" He asked.

"Yes Mister Malfoy, you are looking at the new Transfiguration Professor of Hogwarts." McGonagall said. "Now if you will excuse me, I have Headmistress stuff to do." With that McGonagall turned and left the Burrow.

"New transfiguration professor," Malfoy said. "Looks like your after school job is set up now."

"Yup, thankfully," Hermione said as they returned to the table. "Oh, I forgot to ask, what are you doing now that you're out of school?"

"I am a Malfoy, I am going to run the Malfoy family business, like most Purebloods."

"Interesting, come on, let's enjoy meal with the Weasleys."

"If I must." Malfoy said as they sat down. "Oh, I got an apartment in Muggle london." The entire table looked at him in shock. "What? My soulmate is a muggleborn, the least I can do is try and get use to the muggle world. I will not be staying there often, most of my days will be at the Manor. But as, understandably, Hermione will not go to the Manor I need a place to spend time with her."

"I think that's sweet of you…" Molly said. "Draco."

"Thank you Mrs. Weasley." Malfoy smiled at the woman.

"Thank you." Hermione whispered to him as they returned to the meal.
