Bloody Roar 2 – Long's Story

Chapter 1: Freedom
After Yugo, Gado, Greg, Alice and Mitsuko's fight to destroy the Tyron Corporation and rescue Uriko, several zoanthropes were free and their existence soon would not be a secret anymore and would be revealed to the world a new breed of beings. Alan Gado had exploded all the laboratories from the Corporation making the same ceasing to exist. The conviviality between the human beings and the zoanthropes was something very new that caused fear and prejudice between many people. Until a NGO called Zoanthrope Liberation Front was born to defend the zoanthropes rights, although it became a terrorist group and began to attack and kill whoever were against their cause, including zoanthropes. Treating humans as inferior beings and zoanthropes as a supremacy…
It was a raining night and Long was inside his cavern where he decided to live since the past events. He found trouble with his consciousness after everything he did on the past. The thirty-one-year-old young man thought about what happened five years ago and even before that when he was trained to kill. To redeem himself thought only in living a solitary life inside a cave far away from civilization, because the same one also had difficulties to control his inner tiger.
Until Long heard a noise outside the cave and resolved to investigate. After arriving outside, he saw a fourteen-year-old teenager girl wearing a school uniform wanting to talk.
"Who are you and what do you want here?" Long asked totally defensive worried about his reputation.
"My name is Uriko and I'm searching for Long, is that you?" The girl revealed her name and asked about Long which remembered have seem and met her five years ago when she was still brainwashed working for the Tyron Corporation as the strongest experiment.
"Yes, that's me. What do you want from me?" He asked her wanting to redeem himself for making part of the corporation which destroyed Uriko's childhood.
"I've known that you know how to fight, please teach me." Long heard Uriko's ask and questioned himself why the same would want to learn to fight.
"Something happened to make you wish to fight?" He asked her waiting for a more clarifying answer.
"My mother Mitsuko was kidnapped by the ZLF because she was against their methods." Uriko said to Long which reminded Mitsuko even without saying nothing.
"Very well, but I'm a zoanthrope, does that scare you?" Long asked her future student trying to figure out more about what happened with the chimera into her body.
"I'm also a zoanthrope, or almost one." Answered the teenager trying to explain herself.
"Because of what happened in my childhood as an experiment I can't bestialize completely." She continued waiting for Long's reaction.
"I'm sorry." He answered after hearing the young girl story.
"I remember you at the lab, the responsible for my mother's kidnap seems a lot like you." Uriko was waiting for some positive answer.
"And you don't judge me and don't blame me?" Long asked.
"He is malignant, you just want to redeem yourself. Am I wrong?" Uriko questioned him again.
"Very well, since it's like that we will investigate it deeply." The young man answered and Uriko's training began.
After the training, both left that place on a journey after Mitsuko.
Entering the city, Long and Uriko were capable of finding a security troop from the ZLF. Long made a point of defeat them and while they were all on the ground and Long the only one standing, a blonde woman with physical size from a mercenary approached the place surprised to see that scene.
"Hey, you! Are you one of them?" The woman asked being observed by Uriko and staring Long.
"Don't confuse me with them, we two are into a rescue mission. And you would be..." Long answered the mercenary with a question after it.
"Before that tell me your names." The woman said.
"I am Long Shin, a zoanthrope." Long said naturally.
"My name is Uriko, I'm also a zoanthrope." The young girl introduced herself.
"You can call me Shina or Marvel, I'm a mercenary zoanthrope searching for my father." Shina introduced herself using her codenames and soon seemed to gain the trust from the other two.
"Your father? We are searching for Uriko's mother that was kidnapped by the ZLF." Long notified her.
"My mother's name is Mitsuko." Uriko said to Shina.
"By the information that I received my father is the ZLF leader, his name is Gado, Alan Gado." Shina made Long scared with the info, because he remembered about Gado which he had fought five years ago at the Tyron Corporation battle. Gado fought for the right side and him by the wrong side, he would not imagine that Gado would become someone so bad.
"Do you support your father?" Long asked Shina.
"If that information is true there is no way I would support him! I want to discover the truth behind all this." Shina said.
"The truth is that the leader of the ZLF is very similar to Long, it was him who kidnapped my mother." Uriko seemed to reassure Shina.
"I'm glad to hear such news, but we have to make sure of everything." The mercenary didn't want to celebrate so soon.
"If the leader is not here, where are we going now?" Long asked both the girls.
"It's getting dark, better for us to enter that abandoned building on the side of the one used as a base before you defeated all that security troops. We can think on the rest tomorrow." Shina invited Long and Uriko to sleep and continue their search on the next day.
It was nightfall, a young ninja waited on the building roof his time to act. He had spiky hair and wore a red scarf.
"I am Bakuryu, a master of stealth and known of the ninja arts." Said the fourteen-year-old teenager. He entered the building always standing on top like in the rooftop where he could not be seen, until he found the three, but something into Uriko called his attention and he didn't know how to say what was it, because of that he avoided even to attack.
Long, Shina and Uriko improvised a room at the entrance to sleep and it was necessary to change their watch shifts, because zoanthropes could be attacked anytime. The first to look-out was Uriko that besides of seemed harmless knew well how to fight trained by her master Long. Bakuryu which was outside again saw Uriko watching the entrance, the same then threw a smoke bomb near Uriko and away from the other two to not get trouble with three zoanthropes at the same time.
Uriko started coughing and before the same knew, the young boy entitled Bakuryu hold her and jump above the roof again, this time carrying her.
"Release me! Who are you and what do you want from me?" Uriko said confused with a young boy like him being so strong.
"I serve Busuzima and I fight any threat to ZLF." Said the young shinobi.
"Let me down with the others! I made you no harm. Why would you serve ZLF?" Uriko said to the young boy and started crying.
"For what reason do you cry? I don't cry, but as strange as it seems, your cry makes me suffer." Bakuryu said getting down with her until the place that he kidnapped her and left using another smoke bomb and then, wandering at the night.
