I sighed in relief as we landed on ice, "Thanks Todoroki!" I snapped out of my fear and threw more bombs at Shigaraki who promptly ignored them and laughed, "Looks like your not gonna give up aren't you?" He had multiple annoying quirks to deal with but we just had to over-exert the man. I plan on personally castrating All Might with a rusted spoon as soon as this is over. He was supposed to be here.
Shigaraki continued to laugh, "Don't you get it brat? I know you heard me and Eraserheads little conversation. I have shock absorption, hyper regeneration, and more quirks that make me better than All Might!" He was cocky. Really cocky. He also had the power to back up his statements. But nobody was invincible. Quirks could only do so much.
I laughed and put up a smile. Everything would be alright, "You say you have shock absorption? But not Nullification? It doesn't matter what quirks you have. You are not invincible. You are still Human," Shigaraki touched the ice and it turned to dust. A horn caught me, Tsunotori, and Kodai. God bless Tsunotori, "Thanks for the save,"
Tsunotori threw up a peace sign, "No problem!" Now that we were back in the air I looked at the rest of our classmates and threw more C2's to them. I didn't have much clay left, "We need to get out of here soon. He's strong," Tsunotori was right. Also she could switch between Japanese and English pretty well.
Kodai nodded, "Mm," I hated to say it but I agreed. As much false bravado I put up, I was terrified.
I sighed, "Well then. Tsunotori can you use the rest of your horns to carry everyone? My clay is kind of weak as Shigaraki proved," Meanwhile Tsunotori's horns were stronger, they could probably tank a hit from a pebble that fast and strong. Plus that would give me more time. Shigaraki would simply follow or learn more. He was inexperienced when he came here and he still is. But he's learning. That is bad. If he learns more about what he can do and if he can truly rival All Might then someone is going to need to buy some more time.
Tsunotori nodded, "Yeah but that would mean he could focus on everyone," I now had a shit eating grin, "What do you have planned?" Something incredibly stupid. Iida and the teachers might be here in a minute or an hour. I had faith they'd be here sooner than not, "I swear to all that is holy I will not allow you to do something stupid. You still need to help me with my Japanese!"
Kodai mock glared at me, "Mm," If I lived I'd have my head on a pike after I got out of the hospital. So die a heroic death now or die a painful death to an angry sorta friend who had social anxiety.
I chuckled nervously, "I promise that I'll live. But yes its really stupid. Like really stupid. Almost as stupid as that one snow villain trying to attack Endeavor head on," Probably more stupid than that but eh. I had time. If I had too I'd break my own hands fighting. I'd live damnit, "I know you might not like it but its either this or we all die,"
Tsunotori rolled her eyes, "What do you even have planned? It can't be that bad. Your ideas are normally good... Don't tell me your going to go fight him?" The look on my face gave it away, "Why not Bakugo or Todoroki? They are stronger than you," That was blunt and that hurt a lot, "Also how the hell are we going to explain to your parents this if you get injured?" Oh yeah only like three people here know I'm an orphan. As she said that she sent her horns to protect everyone else and to give them flight. Another C2 held the injured and tired. Currently we were dodging more pebbles at an alarming rate
My face soured a bit, "You don't need to worry about that last part... My parents are kinda dead," Sympathetic looks were now on their faces. A put on a smile, "Also if we use Bakugo or Todoroki now then they can't defend everyone later. Also I'm kinda almost out of clay so I'd be useless in long range soon anyways," I sighed, "I'm not suicidal don't worry. But I want to do this. I want to buy you all time. I'm supposed to be a hero trainie. I shouldn't have to do this. Nobody should. But this needs to happen. Someone needs to buy time. If it isn't me then someone else would. I want to prevent that,"
I felt a hand on my shoulder, "Mm," That was quick.
I grinned, "Thanks. I'll make it out alive. Don't worry. I have faith that the teachers will show up before anything fatal can happen. You can put my head on a pike then,"
Tsunotori sighed, "You better damn survive this! If you don't then we'll all be sad," We dodged yet another pebble then and I saw everyone was safe and Bakugo was restrained again. Good.
I grinned, "I will live. And I'll come back with some cool battle scars hopefully," I then saluted and jumped off the horn. Shigaraki grinned and stopped throwing his pebbles at us. This felt like a chiche action movie already. I liked it. I raised my hand at the man and gathered as much nitroglycerin as I could and compressed it, "C3!" This was a improvised C3. I didn't have enough clay for a normal one. Flame burst from my hand and at SHigaraki who dodged.
The man laughed, "Playing hero aren't we? Your not as pathetic as I thought. I'm going to kill you in front of your classmates and I'm going to enjoy it fervently," He stopped his foot onto the ground and broke the ground into little chunks. I jumped, "Die!" He threw the rubble at me. I raised my hand and exploded the rubble creating a smoke screen.
I was sent back by my explosion and Shigaraki appeared where I was. I was fuckign glad I could do this shit. He was toying with me still. Good.
Well lets see if I could do a C4.
"He's fighting him. Head on. And he's being toyed with," Midoriya pointed out as everyone hopped on horns and a C2 from Tsunotori and Nendo respectively, "He's preparing to die," This was heroic of Nendo. But he had heard of the boy's exploits from Ashido and Kirishima. They had bragged about their friend being ballsy enough to face a guy named Maim when they were talking about him. But this still put it into perspective.
Kendo sighed as she was being held back. She calmed down then, "Damnit. He's being a dumbass. We need to go help him now. Or at least get him out of there," She was right. But they couldn't get in close otherwise they'd probably get in the way and go against him. Maybe Shigaraki would stop playing around.
Ashido gripped the horn, "Yeah! We need to get the idiot out of there and we need to get the hell out of here as fast as possible. Let All Might take care of this guy!" Midoriya would need to have a talk with his mentor. A long talk. As nervous as the thought made him. All Might had to have a good reason though right?
Mineta shuffled to the horn they were on then, "But how will we even do that?" The tone of fear in his voice made everyone that could look to him, "He is far away and we could die if we got close because Shigaraki decided to piss him off and stop playing around. So how are we going to get him the hell out of there?" That was a good question.
Midoriya had a good idea then. One that'd save Nendo so they could scold him for being an idiot, "I have an idea?" It sounded more like a question and he knew that. He wasn't entirely sure if it'd work. But it was worth a try. Everyone looked to him then.
"What is it Deku?" Uraraka asked. Midoriya wished this was a situation her quirk would be useful in. Her quirk would help them a lot.
Midoriya breathed in deeply and looked to Mineta, "First off, Mineta do you think you could make a large enough rope out of your grapes?" That was part one of the plan.
Mineta suddenly had an 'oh' face, "What? I think I know what you want me to do. But what about power? I'm not exactly strong enough to pull him back here," That was true. But Midoriya had a plan. One that was very stupid. But one that wouldn't shatter his arm this time hopefully.
Nendo jumped out of the way of a slab of concrete and got punched in the stomach. Cashing into a wall at the fountain and going through it. He coughed up blood and stood up. Jumping away from another attack and inching closer to the horns.
Midoriya gulped, "Bondo can pull him back. I would do that but there's something else I need to do," Midoriya knew Uraraka would have his head on a pike for worrying her. 'If mom doesn't drown me in a sea of tears first' Mineta nodded and began making the rope right away. For some reason he began making two.
Uraraka gulped, "What are you going to do Deku?" She was worried instantly. 'Please don't do anything stupid.' Her fears were founded when Midoriya smiled.
Midoriya looked at the two fighting, "We need a distraction right?" 'One for All: Thirty percent!' Midoriya felt his bones crack and his muscles begin to tear painfully as he unintentionally channeled OFA through his entire body. He grit through the pain, "I'll use a smash and then we can escape," Nobody had time to respond as Midoriya jumped off the horn. Making Tsunotori yelp in surprise as her horn was shaken.
As Midoriya flew through the air he heard the fight going on, "Just give up player two. You are no match for me with your weak explosions," Shigaraki was confident. He punched Nendo in the chest undoubtedly breaking a few ribs. Said boy spat out blood.
Nendo laughed, "When did I become player two?" He grinned as his eyes met Midoriya's for a brief second. Midoriya needed more time. '45%' Midoriya thought as he kicked the air. Going faster now.
Shigaraki grinned, "You are an interesting yet annoying brat. Fighting me, knowing your going to lose... I think I will leave you alive here. I'm interested to see how you evolve in the future," Midoriya was thankful for that.
He reached the two as Shigaraki prepared a knockout punch, "DETROIT SMASH!" His fist slammed into Shigaraki's back and said man spat out blood at that and was sent into the ground. Nendo looked surprised. Midoirya ignored his bodies pleas for him to stop. Shigaraki stood back up and growled at Midoriya and prepared to decay him. He was suddenly in front of Midoriya then.
'Welp this is it.' Midoriya gulped preparing to die but death didn't come.
What came instead made him relieved, "Everything will be alright! Why? Because I am here!" All Mights booming voice felt like an angels. All might shattered Shigaraki's wrist as he gripped it, "Young Mineta, Young Bondo, you can pull them back now," Midoriya deactivated One for All and felt his body thank him and hate him as he was pulled back by a whip of Mineta's grapes holding him and the now knocked out Nendo.
All Might was here and He'd take care of them.
Toshinori felt like shit. He had just used most of his time-limit up helping heroes beat some low level villains. He was supposed to be at the USJ 20 minutes ago. He had heard an angry phone call from Nezu. And then one five minutes later telling him to get his ass to the USJ that instant. He was almost there now and he had just met up with the rest of the UA faculty. He said nothing. Young Midoriya and the rest of his students were in danger because of him. He needed to rectify that mistake now.
Soon enough he made it to the USJ and saw one of his students taking a beating and Midoriya saving him. His quirk(or one of them... He'd think about that later. He had bigger priorities at the moment) was Decay. As Nezu learned from the camera's once he hacked back into them.
Toshinori rushed to his student and grabbed the young man's wrist. Breaking it. in the process. He smiled. He was the symbol of peace. He had to make everyone calmer. He saw his successors face shift into relief, "Everything will be alright! Why? Because I am here!" He hoped it would make the young man in front of him leave. He didn't have the time for this. He wished he had just went to the USJ first. He looked back to two of his students preparing to throw a rope(made out of Young Mineta's quirk) to bring them back, "Young Mineta, Young Bondo, you can pull them back now," They pulled Young Midoriya and Young Nendo back. The latter of the two passed out.
All Might then looked to the blue haired young man who caused this, "May I ask why you are here Young man?" His voice contained anger and power that made the younger man gulp.
He regained confidence, "I am here to kill you All Might!" He spat out All Might's name with venom, "This is for sensei!" Oh that bastard was dead. Good. It didn't matter for long because he was punched in the gut and the pain was tremendous. All might stood his ground. He punched back with a detroit smash. It visibly made the man wince in pain but that was it, "You fool! I have shock absorption,"
All Might laughed, "Shock absorption, Not nullification, villain!" He then geared back for another punch, "I just have to go beyond my limits!" He punched the young man again. This time, harder. He was punched back. He punched again and again.
All Might knew he had to finish this fight quickly. The young man was strong. But not as strong as him. He just had more stamina and a better working body. Plus shock nullification. All Might roared and punched once more. He needed some distance, "Texas smash!" He punched the air, creating strong air force and sending the young man back.
The young man growled and threw something. All Might registered it as a pebble. It was thrown about as fast as he could move. He didn't have that much time to dodge. He felt it peirce his body and go through him. Yeah that hurt. That was about twenty minutes off of his time. Ouch... All Might spat out blood as he preformed his next attack. He punched and rotated his arm. Creating a miniature tornado, "Nebraska smash!" The young man he was fighting was caught up in the tornado.
He saw the young man clap s he curse, "Damnit! The old bastard is stronger than I thought," He then saw the man grin, "Airwalk," He then stood up Mid air, "The good doctor said to reveal this one only when needed. It is Time to die All Might," All Might had to kill this one. He didn't like it, but another All for One running around wasn't good. And he just killed the last one six years ago, " Rivet stab!" Several black tendrils with prominent red lines appeared from his fingertips and pierced All Might.
All Might coughed up blood. This wasn't good. He quickly pulled on One for All more and broke the tendrils. His time limit would be reduced significantly after this attack. Especially if it hit. All Might kept his smile up. He had to look brave for the next generation. If they saw the symbol of peace getting kicked around then they'd lose hope.
He couldn't have that. He jumped into the air as he felt his wounds leak blood and pain wrack throughout his body, "This ends now fiend!" He cocked back a punch.
The young man in front of him laughed, "Your right. This does end here All Might, " He jumped toward All Might with his hands out, "DIE!" He knew he had only one attack that could stop him. He couldn't use a full powered one in here. He couldn't risk the students safety.
All Might punched the young man in the chest, "UNITED STATES OF SMASH!" The punch landed in the middle of the young man's chest as he felt the embers of one for all grow weaker. The attack created a shockwave and a tornado formed again. The roof of the USJ shattered instantly into fine powder and concrete carried by the tornado until it dispelled leaving the ground in chunks and glass dust raining onto them.
The young man spat out blood, "Wha-" The words died in his throat as his organs turned into a fine paste. He didn't expect the attack clearly. All Might punched his face in just in case. That used the last of the energy All Might had
Mist appeared instantly. Stabbing All Might with some debris that got shaprned somehow where it hurt most 'Damn you All for One. Still haunting me even post-death!' Toshinori thought as the mist pushed him out of the way, "MASTER-TOMURA!" All Might only felt it then. His arm was turning to dust. From the wrist up. He watched the villains disappear and he then saw Snipe come up to him with a worried recovery girl. Whom for once didn't smack him with her cane. One for All was trying to resist the effects of Decay.
"Damnit Toshino-" He could barely hear her as he realized One for All could only do so much to stop decay. What was happening? Was he going to die? He was stabbed and he was being decayed. He saw the rest of the students appear that weren't injured and Nezu. They looked worried.
Snipe handed the old hero a knife. Toshinori then saw a clay dove nearby. A large one. Carrying young Nendo who looked terrified, bloodied, and beaten up. Shouting was heard, "All Might!" Was the only thing he heard.
It was then Toshinori passed out.
YEAH A CLIFFHANGER! I BET YOU THOUGHT I WOULDN'T DO THAT! HAHAHAH. *Cough* Sorry about that. Anyways yeah I'm proud of this chapter. The USJ was ended nicely and All Might's fate is left unknown Until next chapter. The aftermath of the USJ/Interlude to the Sports festival. I can say a few things. One All Might's fate is a 50/50. He could die, or he could live and retire. Either way things change. This is where the canon-shattering point truly happens. And Nendo is probably traumatized now.
I'm excited to come up with the next few things this story has to offer. I plan on so much. Shigaraki's fate will also be seen in the chapters to come.
