They stopped at the U.S.J. (Unforeseen Simulation Joint) and Izuku was excited, not only was he going to meet 13 but also go to her own personal training place to train. He would've asked for her autograph but felt like it wasn't the right time, so he instead listened to what she had to say instead. They then entered the U.S.J where they spotted a black void in the middle of the place. Some of the students asked if this was part of the simulation, only for the teachers to answer no. Things got bad to worse when from the void stepped out villains, the teachers told everyone to evacuate but the void (who turned out to be a person) got to them first and teleported the students to separate parts of the place. Izuku, Tsu and Hitoshi were teleported into the water of the shipwreck zone. Izuku tells Tsu to use her tounge to get them onto the ship, which she does. Izuku then tells Hitoshi to use his quirk to command one villain to attack the other while himself will attack them with the poised apples, which they do. This creates enough of a opening for them to escape, Hitoshi and Izuku use Izuku's mirror and Tsu uses her legs. They landed and ran to the entrance as fast as they can, using a new guy Hitoshi brainwashed to get rid of any villains they encountered along the way. They got to the entrance which was being blocked by villains. They then try to help the teachers by trying to brainwash the nomu but it doesn't work. Then All Might arrives, attacks and defeats the nomu with one punch. This causes the villains to retreat, which they do successfully.
The next time they were in class it was back to normal, with the exception that Mr. Aizawa was in bandages. Izuku was going to ask if he was okay but before he could Mr. Aizawa said "It's getting close to the U.A sports festival, time to prepare." The whole class rose up and cheered, Ochaco especially. Later Ochaco went to explain why to Izuku, Tenya and Tsu but stopped herself before she could because she felt too uncomfortable doing it, which made her confused. 'These are my friends, why can't I tell them this stuff?' unaware that the reason was for the uncomfortable feeling was because she unknowingly saw Izuku as her rival.
When school finished, the class tried to leave but was blocked by other people. Bakugo says "They're see us as competition after the U.S.J incident." Then he threatened the crowd to leave but they didn't budge. Izuku got an idea but he didn't like it. "Excuse me, if it wouldn't impede your ability to check us out. Can you please move, it would really mean a lot." Izuku said while smiling as cutely as possible. Likely it worked as they as they all first was amazed by his beauty then left. Allowing his class to leave, which they did.
Two weeks later and it was the day of the U.A sports festival. On that day Shoto declared Izuku his rival, much to everybody else's shock. Making Ochaco realize she also sees Izuku as her rival much to her shock and horror.
