Rebecca Stillson is a sixteen year old junior at Tippecanoe High School. Like every average teenager her age, she likes dating, hanging out with friends, and partying. Unfortunately for her, her parents, Evan and Christine Stillson, are going to be out for most of the night for a business dinner party for her father's work. So she has to babysit her little sister, ten year old Krista Stillson. Rebecca is not happy with this. But she has no choice. If she disobeys her parents' wish to watch over her sister, she will be grounded and never be allowed out. So she must suck it up and watch over her sister.
It is six o'clock in the evening and Evan and Christina are preparing to leave. Both of their daughters are present as they put their coats on to leave. Evan kneels down to his younger daughter to give her a hug and kiss goodbye.
"You be good for Rebecca now." requested Evan.
"I will." said Krista.
"Goodbye, sweetheart." said Evan before giving her a kiss.
Then he gets back up to hug his older daughter while his wife kneels down to give her goodbye love to Krista.
"You have fun with Rebecca." requested Christina.
"I'll try." said Krista.
"Have Krista in bed by nine." Evan ordered Rebecca.
"Okay, Dad." replied Rebecca.
"No friends!" ordered a stern Christina at Rebecca with a pointed finger.
Rebecca sighs and rolls her eyes. No lectures, please. "Okay, Mom." said Rebecca.
"Alright." said a satisfied Christina. "Have fun you two." Evan and Christina proceed to walk out the door.
"Goodbye, girls." said Evan as he walked out the door with his wife.
"Bye!" replied both Rebecca and Krista.
Rebecca shuts the door after the parents leave. She turns to her little sister.
"So, listen, you and I are both doing something that we don't want. I don't want to be here to watch you and you don't want to be stuck with me either. So, let's make a deal, you do whatever you want and I won't tell mom and dad, and I do whatever I want without you telling mom and dad. Deal?"
Krista takes a moment to think about this.
"Deal." replied Krista.
"Cool. What would you like to do?"
"Well, Mom and Dad won't let me watch that new scary movie. I'd like to watch it."
"Okay. I'm gonna call Carl and see if he wants to come over for a few. You watch that movie and I will have Carl over without either of us snitching on each other. Right?"
"Right!" agreed Krista.
Krista is sitting on the floor of her bedroom and watching the very scary movie that she wished to watch. But now she may be regretting this. Every once in a while, she hides her face behind her pillow. Somewhat terrified of what she sees in the movie. She hears the roaring engine of a motorcycle approaching the house. Curious, she looks out the window. A motorcycle has, indeed, parked right outside the house. This is Rebecca's older boyfriend, Carl, whom her parents are unaware that she's dating. Krista doesn't like him and wishes that he wouldn't come over. But a deal is a deal.
As Carl approaches the front door, Krista's eyes wander across the street where she sees - A DARK FIGURE of a person standing and watching her house. It is too dark to see any features of this person. So she cannot tell what this person looks like, rather they're a male or female, or what they are wearing. Krista is somewhat creeped out by this. Perhaps the movie that she's watching is making her imagination run wild.
Outside the house, the Mysterious Figure watches as the front door opens and Carl is greeted by Rebecca. Neither one of them notices the stranger watching them from afar.
"Hey, handsome." greeted Rebecca.
"Hey, beautiful." Carl greeted back.
The couple kiss each other for a brief moment before Rebecca brings her boyfriend into the house. She shuts the front door. With the couple inside the house and nobody around to see anything, the coast is clear. The Figure ascends towards the house. Walking by a street light reveals that the person is wearing the blue and gold American colonial military uniform and has white hair tied back similar to a certain Founding Father in the American Revolutionary War.
Rebecca and Carl are having sex in her bedroom. She moans as she rides on top of him. The moaning increases and gets louder as they get closer to reaching their climax. They finally reach their climax and let out a final loud moan. Rebecca drops next to him on the bed before leaning against his chest. They're both sweating and catching their breaths.
"That was fucking amazing!" exclaimed Rebecca.
"Yeah." replied Carl.
"I could really use a beer."
"Sounds good."
"You wanna a beer?" asked Rebecca.
"Yeah." answered Carl.
"Then go get us some beer." Rebecca demanded.
"Why do I have to get you beer?"
"Because I just gave you sex. Now get your ass up and get me a fucking beer." Carl sighs.
"Okay!" Carl concedes.
Carl gets up and puts his clothes on. Rebecca just stays laying in bed naked. She grabs a pack of cigarettes, pulling out a cigarette, and puts it in between her lips. She grabs her lighter and lights up the cigarette. By the time she blows out the first puff of smoke, Carl is heading out of the bedroom. After Carl has left, Rebecca happens to see an old gameboy and decides to play with it.
Carl enters the kitchen without turning on the light. He goes over to the refrigerator and opens it. He finds the shelf stocked with beer and grabs two cans. He shuts the refrigerator door. He turns around - He is shoved against the refrigerator door by the Figure, who covers Carl's mouth with one hand and uses his other hand to jam a knife into his chest. Carl screams.
But the Killer's hand covers the screaming. Carl looks at his Killer and can only see the latex mask of George Washington that he's wearing. Eventually, Carl stops screaming and moving. His eye's roll back. Washington releases him and Carl's body slides down to the floor. Carl is dead.
Rebecca is still laying on the bed and playing with the gameboy. But now her back is facing the door. So she doesn't see Washington slowly and quietly sneaking into the bedroom. He slowly walks over to the bed without being noticed by Rebecca. Upon reaching the bed, he raises the knife up. Rebecca finally feels his presence but believes that this is Carl returning.
"You certainly took your precious time." said Rebecca.
Rebecca turns around to see Washington standing over her with a knife. She gasps. Unable to scream yet. Washington stabs her in the chest. Rebecca screams out over this. The screaming is heard by Krista, who is still in her bedroom and watching TV. She jumps up from the floor and storms out of her bedroom. All the while, Washington is still stabbing Rebecca multiple times in the chest and breasts. Krista runs through the hallway to her sister's bedroom. She is horrified by what she witnesses. Rebecca sees Krista.
"RUN, KRISTA!" Rebecca shouts to Krsita.
Washington turns to see Krista running away. But rather than stopping to go after her, he turns back to Rebecca and continues his vicious attack on her. Meanwhile, Krista goes into her parents' bedroom and jumps on the bed, grabbing the landline phone sitting on her mother's nightstand, and dials 911.
"9-1-1. What's your emergency?" asked the 911 Operator.
"HELP! Somebody is hurting my sister!" shouted Krtista over the phone.
"Do you know who is doing this?" asked the Operator.
"I...I...I don't know." stated a frightened and shaken Krista.
"Okay. What is your name and your address, honey?"
"Krista. Krista Stillson. 1115 Osburn Lane, Tippecanoe, Washington."
Washington continues to stab Rebecca multiple times. Her entire body is soaked in her own blood. Her mouth is spewing out blood as she screams. Washington stops stabbing her to stare at his work. The dying Rebecca is crying.
"Who are you? Why are you doing this?" asked Rebecca.
Washington removes his mask to reveal a caucasian male about the same age as Rebecca, who instantly recognizes him. She knows him.
"Kevin Lassiter?" asked a shocked Rebecca.
Lassiter smiles before putting the mask back on. He raises the knife up in the air.
Rebecca knows that this is the fatal blow coming and starts crying and begging for her life.
"NO! PLEASE!" begged Rebecca.
Washington swings the knife and stabs Rebecca in the heart. It is, indeed, the fatal blow. Rebecca ceases to move and goes silent. Rebecca Stillson is dead.
Andrew DeLuca, a thirty-two year old police officer, is driving nearby when he receives a call about the attack.
"We have a ten-thirty-one-C in progress at 1115 Osburn Lane." announced an operator.
DeLuca grabs the radio and responds.
"Ten-four. On my way." replied DeLuca.
DeLuca switches on the sirens and speeds off.
Washington enters the Stillsons' master bedroom. He is searching for Krista, who anticipated that he'd be looking for her in the master bedroom. She is actually watching him from a hallway closet, which is on the other side of the hallway. He totally didn't see her go in there when murdering Rebecca. Realizing that his target is not in the bedroom, he leaves and goes out into the hallway. Krista watches in horror as Washington gets closer and closer to the closet door. He realizes that the closet door is slightly opened. Perhaps she's in here. He opens the door - Krista storms out with a baseball bat. She proceeds to swing the bat at him. He walks backwards in an attempt to avoid the bat.
Eventually Washington cannot go any further as his back meets the railing. This allows Krista to swing the bat and hit him over the head. Washington grabs at his head. The pressure from the impact and movement of his body causes the railing to collapse and Washington drops from the second floor and lands hard on the first floor. Krista looks over the stairs and finds Washington out cold on the floor. She quietly and cautiously walks down the stairs until she makes it down the first floor next to his body. Washington appears to be dead. She killed him. So Krista begins to feel safe. Curious about him, Krista slowly reaches for his mask. She grabs the bottom of the mask and begins to slowly pull it up. However, before she can go far - HIS EYES OPEN.
Startled by this, Krista shrieks and falls backwards. She crawls backwards as Washington rises to his feet. He clenches his grip on the knife, intending to harm this girl.
"NO! DON'T! Krista begged.
But Washington is unfazed by the fact that she is an unarmed innocent young child. Just as much as he didn't care for the lives of the nearly grownup Carl and the teenage Rebecca. Krista is just another piece of meat to him that he gets to mutilate to his heart's desire. Poor Krista backs herself into the wall. Helpless and unarmed. Begging for her life. Washington raises the knife up in the air. Krista screams out as Washington prepares for the kill.
"FREEZE!" shouts a male voice behind Washington.
Washington spins around to find - Officer DeLuca standing there with his gun drawn at him.
"Drop the knife!" ordered DeLuca.
Washington just stares at DeLuca. He's not afraid of him nor is he afraid to die. In fact, he'd rather die than surrender.
"I'm going to ask one more time; drop the knife and get on the floor." DeLuca demanded.
And with that, Washington ignores his warning and charges at him with the knife. BANG! Washington drops to the floor. Washington has been hit in the chest. He could die.
"Suspect down!" DeLuca announced into his radio. "I need a bus at 1115 Osburn Lane."
With his eye on Washington, DeLuca moves over to Krista, who embraces him and cries with relief.
"It's okay. It's all over. He can't hurt you now."
The Officer and the child keep their eye on Washington as they hear more sirens arriving at the house. It is over.
Kevin Lassiter recovered from being shot. He was arrested and was to be put on trial for the murder of Rebecca Stillson and Carl Winters. But because Lassiter had been diagnosed with bi-polar, depression, and Schizophrenia, he was seen as mentally unstable and not fit to actually be tried for murder. So instead, the state sentenced him to Bayriver County Sanitarium and that is where he has been living at for the last six years.
