The morning had finally arrived and Hop and Anani waited readily at Professor Magnolia's home for a gift she had made for them.
"It's morning at last!" cheered Hop,"Time for our adventure to truly start!"
"And good morning to you, young Challengers!" professor Magnolia chuckled.
"Say...Hop?" Sonia blinked, waving for his attention,"Is it true that the two of you really met some Poke'mon you didn't recognize in the Slumbering Weald?" she asked,"Is there anything more you could tell me about it?"
"Hmm...well..." Hop pondered,"First there was a weird fog..." he blinked,"And then an even weirder Poke'mon appeared..." he stated,"Anani and I tried to fight it off, but every move we made passed right through it or something." he said,"It's all still pretty hazy..."
That place...
Anani faded back to the foggy memories of the frightening, yet, peaceful forest. She still couldn't recall what brought her there. The next thing she did remember was a thick milky white color. Possibly the fog rolling in, then she woke up, to the face of a boy named Hop...the story following that was history. She had no recollection of anything aside from her own name, and he took her in, making the shed in their yard into a proper little home for her to stay in.
"A right fount of information you are..." Sonia blinked. Anani couldn't tell if this was sarcasm or not, she was still learning how to understand their manner of speaking. That was another thing. Anani spoke a bit differently from anyone else in Galar. Which brought about the question...
Could she possibly be from another region?
But if that's the case...
How did she wind up in Galar in the first place?
Many more questions remained unanswered and it seemed the more sense she tried to make of her situation, the more sense it didn't make at all.
"Anani...Hop...these are for you." said Magnolia, as she clasped on a kind of wrist band on each of them
"Wicked! these are Dynamax bands!" Hop beamed.
"The wishing stars you found have been afixed to them." Magnolia nodded,"It will let out a light that will allow your Poke'mon to Dynamax if you are at a Power Spot, of course." she explained.
"Thanks a lot, Professor!" Hop beamed,"This is brilliant! Just like the one Lee has on him!" he grinned,"Now we can Dynamax our Poke'mon too! Just like Lee does!"
"You surely don't waste any time, do you?" Magnolia chuckled,"I think you'll come to find that it's not so simple as that." she stated,"There are a number of conditions you must meet if you hope to have your Poke'mon Dynamax and take on such a gigantic form." she smiled,"But what fun would it be without discovering tricks on your own?" she chuckled,"Now go on then, don't be afraid to go to many different places and meet many more kinds of Poke'mon." she stated,"That should help you fill the pages of your Poke'dex too."
"The legend of my reign is finally about to begin!" Hop grinned,"Let's be off, Anani!" he beamed,"I bet I'll beat you to the station!"

"Come on, Anani!" Hop called out to her from ahead,"You'll never beat me at that pace!"
The young girl was winded and panting heavily as she took her losing place next to a dancing Hop at the tation entrance. No doubt celebrating his victory.
"Bang on, Anani." he chuckled,"Guess you didn't win this time." he teased as he scrolled through his phone for information on their next journey of destination,"Say we've got a long journey ahead, aye?" Hop blinked,"Perhaps we should buy a few things before treading off..."
"Well...I did want to wander around the boutique a bit..." she blinked.
"Typical lass, I see!" Hop snickered, "Fair then, Go on and do that, meanwhile I'm gonna buy us a few needed supplies!"
"Here then." Anani chuckled handing him some money,"See, I'm not completely foolish with my money!" she joked.
"Well, enough!" he laughed,"Meet back in a bit!"
Hop took his time in the Poke'mon center shop while Anani tried on a few clothes at the Boutique.

"Starting off on a brand new journey calls for a unique change in myself, wouldn't you say?" Anani chuckled as she spoke to her reflection. She shifted around the glasses frames that she had tried on and found herself frowning. No matter what she did, she didn't feel like she looked good...
"My old ones were broken and bent up..." she sighed softly, "Suppose these could work for now..."She sighed, "I better meet Hop then." she said softly,"He's never been known for his patience..."
"So out with it, Anani!" Hop huffed as he heard her coming in,"What took you so long, yeah? Huh?" he stopped and blinked a bit.
"Wh...what is it?" she asked awkwardly as she adjusted the frame of her new glasses. They had black frames, but they really brought out her emerald eyes."
"Oh...it's nothing." he said with a grin,"Flash new frames, Anani!" he stated,"Your eyes are...well." he shrugged and chuckled awkwardly with a light blush tinting his cheeks,"They're right pretty, yeah?"
"O-Oh..." she blushed shyly and instictively reached her her long hair, running her fingers through it as she avoided his gaze awkwardly. She took to this stance whenever she felt shy. And sometimes Hop could just really throw her off with his straight laced honesty."...Thank you." she said softly. He chuckled.
"Now come on Rival of mine." he stated "The train is waiting." he offered his arm politely as an escort as he began to explain the journey that lay ahead," The Gym Challenge will begin in Motostoke." he stated,"We gotta take the train there, so we better push on."
"HaHa, right." Anani nodded,"Lead the way, mate."
As the two rushed to catch their train a sudden call startled them in place just before the open doors.
"Not quite so fast, you two!" it was Hop's mother, and with her, Leon as well.
"Mum? Lee?" Hop blinked,"What are you two doing here?"
"I knew this day was coming since the day you two chose your new partners together, darling." she chuckled.
"Professor Magnolia was kind enough to let Mum know that the two of you were setting out." said Lee.
"So here...one last gift to set you on your way." their mom smiled as she handed them each a camping set.
"What gives, Mum?" Hop blinked,"Why did you give Anani one too?" he asked,"She and I are traveling together...we could just share mine." he stated.
"You will come to learn as you grow dear, that sometimes a young lady just needs her privacy~" she winked at Anani who beamed, chuckling softly with a warm "Thank you."
"Trying to sneak into sharing a tent~" Leon snickered teasingly,"My my Little Brother...so scandelous!"
"Say wha-" Hop blushed,"TH-THAT WASN'T MY INTENTION AT ALL!" he huffed," I am just trying give us less to carry-after all we won't be able to move very fast at all with all this lugging! Anani!? Back me up mate!"
But she was too busy trying to maintain her composure rather than bursting out into laughter.
"Thank you much, ma'am." she said politely with a warm smile,"This gift is much appreciated."
"Of course, dear!" the woman chuckled,"I know my Hop can be a bit much!"
"Thanks a lot Mum." Hop chuckled,"And just think of how lucky you are!" he stated,"Mother to the first pair of Champion brothers!" he beamed.
"Now, now Hop." Leon chuckled,"You're not Champion, yet~!" he folded his arms,"Remember, Anani too, is fighting for that title."
"Maybe so!"Hop huffed,"But I'm certain to be the Champion next! You'll see!"
"Of course you will, darling." their mother chuckled,"Now do have fun you two, and please...take care of yourselves." she blinked,"And also remember to take care of each other...rivals or not."
"You got it, Mum." Hop smiled and left with a warm hug from his mother.
"Anani, dear..." his mother smiled and extended an arm toward her too,"Do join in on this one."
Smiling softly Anani nodded and accepted the hug, graciously gifted to her by the woman who so kindly offered her a place to stay.
"Thanks so much, ma'am..." she said softly,"For everything."
"Well...we're off then!" said Hop as he pulled away,"Best be pushing on then, wish us luck, mum!" he grinned,"Not that we'll need it!" with one more hug farewell she saw her son off and waved good bye to Anani as they stood by the closing door windows and waved their own farewell.
"There are loads of brilliant trainers and all kinds of Poke'mon out there waiting for us, Anani." he said warmly,"My excitement's running ahead of me even faster than any train can go!" he beamed as he took her hand in his and gave it a warm squeeze.
"Very true...it is rather exciting isn't it?" Anani chuckled, returning his grin as well as the warm hearted squeeze as their train bulleted through the tunnel toward their destination.
