More Than a Dance

"Ugh. I'm so bored here." Vax complained for the hundredth time tonight, pulling at his fancy tie and his fancy sleeves and his fancy collar, "How long does it take for everyone to greet each other here?" It felt like a thousand times now he's had to grin and bare it, saying hello to the hoity-toity rich people who he couldn't even steal from.

"Vax be nice. This is Percy and Vex's night. They just announced their engagement, doesn't that make you happy?" The only thing making him happy right now was the way Keyleth smiled at him as they danced across the dance floor. "You're so stiff." Vax grinned at the statement and wiggled his eyebrows, Keyleth's flustered face his only source of amusement, "Not like that! Honestly, sometimes I think you spend way too much time with Scanlan. He's corruped you."

Vax'ildan tightened his hand on Keyleth's waist, swaying her to the side along with the music, "I've always been a little corrupt. You just didn't see this side of me before." His words made her pointy ears red hot and caused them to twitch from the tickling breath.

"I liked you better when you were- hey! Vax!" Keyleth spun him away from a elderly gentleman when she noticed his hand making a pass for the mans big purse, "You don't know when to quit." Instead of a scolding jab it came out more amused and lighthearted this time around. "One day that's gonna stop working in your favor and then I'll have to save your pretty face from trouble."

"My pretty face is just fine thank you. But it would look better with yours a little bit closer." He leaned in, lips brushing against each other when little white flower petals started swirling around the couple. Vax caught one with fast, expert hands and placed the flower behind Keyleth's ear regardless of the stares of the onlookers. Some even swooned at his romantic action. "Have I told you that you look really-"

"Sexy? Yeah, right before you asked how hard this was to take off." Keyleth whisper yelled into the small space between then, "Oh Gods, we're being watched. We... we can't take away from Percy and Vex's big night!"

The rouge blinked at his girlfriend, observing the way her freckles stood out against the blush, how her eyes escaped him and the still swirling flowers around them, "Ah. Yeah, I guess that would be rude." He caught on and winked, taking her by the hand and kissing it to signal the end of their dance.

"Very rude." Keyleth managed as she sucked in a sharp breath right before she was pulled away the dance floor. Vax already had the entire de Rolo castle mapped out, for not sneaky reasons at all, not so he could know of the best places to have makeouts with his girlfriend. "I realized," Keyleth said in between moans as Vax settled between her legs and pressed her against the wall, his hands gathering her dress and hiking it up, revealing her splendid legs, "I never answered your questions. This is very easy to take off."

"Good. Don't want to ruin such a pretty thing. Or the dress." Keyleth laughed at his flirty remark, cupping his smiling face and pulling him into a hot and heavy kiss.

When they emerged back into the ballroom nearly an hour later, looking as neat as they could they were approached by Vex who hugged them both. "If you're going to sneak off to fuck at least make sure there is no visible evidence." She trailed her hand down Keyleth's neck and pressed her finger to a reddening spot, which made the Ashari bite back a whimper. "You're so adorable." Then she tapped on her brother's cheek as if to say 'good job on getting her to fall for you' and left them to themselves.

"Can you open a big hole here and let us sink into the earth?" Vax was just about ready to go to the Raven Queen for good after this. Yet in a way he also felt like this was more then worth his embarrassment.
