Zachary and Veronica are sitting in the basement rec room and watching TV together. But Veronica is very uncomfortable and having PTSD over last night's events.
"I'm still shakened being down here." Veronica points out.
"Why?" asked Zachary.
"The last time we were watching TV in this room, Aria was murdered." Veronica reminds him.
"Oh, yeah. Well, like I said, we won't be here long."
"I'd rather stay home until this is all over."
"I get it. I get it." said Zachary before he has a sudden urge. "I'll be back. I'm gonna have a smoke."
"Okay. Don't take too long."
"I won't."
Zachary gets up from the couch and leaves the rec room. He walks out of the basement from the door to outside, going up the steps to the backyard. Upon reaching up the backyard, he pulls out a cigarette and lights it up. He takes a puff out of it and blows out the smoke. He looks around the backyard as he gets lost in his thoughts.
Zachary feels something behind him and turns around to find Washington.
"Shit!" cried out Zachary.
Zachary attempts to punch him. But Washington catches his fist and rams the knife into stomach. Zachary screams out in agony. Washington goes to stab him again. But Zachary gets enough strength to kick him back. Washington falls backwards to the ground. Too hurt to fight back and knowing that Washington will just get right back up, Zachary proceeds to run across the backyard, leading to the woods. As anticipated, Washington gets right back. But, despite his injury, Zachary has already ran into the woods. As he runs off, he finds that he's getting weaker and weaker as he bleeds out.
Rather than chase him down, Washington brings up his knife and throws it across the yard. The knife finds its target and lodges into Zachary's back. Zachary drops to the ground. He ceases to move. Without going up to him, Washington observes Zachary. He's been stabbed in both his stomach and back. If he's not dead now, he will surely die from bleeding out to death. Washington goes inside the house.
Veronica is still watching TV alone in the basement rec room. She is getting irritated by her boyfriend's absence. He has been gone for a lot longer than he should have been for a smoke break.
"What is taking you forever, Zachary?" Veronica asked herself.
The door opens and Washington walks in. Since Veronica is facing the TV, which is facing the door behind her, she does not see Washington. But she assumes that this is Zachary finally returning to her.
"What took you so long?" asked Veronica.
There is no response.
"Well...?" asked Veronica as she turned around. She is horrified upon seeing Washington "Holy shit!"
Washington goes to stab her. But she jumps away. This caused Washington to stab her in the shoulder. She screams out in pain. She tries to run but Washington charges at her. He stabs her in the back. She screamed out again. She turns around to face him when Washington stabs her in the stomach, pushing her against the wall, and pushing the knife further into her stomach. All Veronica can do is gasp in pain. With her being stabbed in the shoulder, in the back, and in the stomach, Veronica quickly fades. Washington pulls the knife out and watches as Veronica slides down the wall.
Maddy and Victor arrive at the Monroe house in Victor's car. They get out of the car and head for the front door. Maddy recognizes the two vehicles parked outside.
"Looks like Rachel, Zachary, and Veronica are here." Maddy points out.
"I wonder what they're doing here." said Victor.
"Probably having some last minute fun before curfew."
"Probably."
"Do you think I'm doing the right thing by coming home after what I learned today?" asked Maddy.
"I do." replied Victor. "This is your home after all."
"That is true." Maddy agreed. "And as you said earlier. Even if you are mad at your father, they're still your parents."
"That's right."
"I guess it's time to face the music."
"You want me to go in with you? For support." Victor suggested.
"That would be nice."
Maddy takes his hand and clasps their fingers together and holds hands all the way to the front door. They enter the house and immediately sense something weird about the atmosphere of the house. The house feels empty despite knowing that people are here.
"Dad?! Finn!" Maddy called out.
"Is anybody here?!" Victor called out.
Somebody sneaks up on them and touches Maddy's shoulder. She screams and spins around to face the person - It's Rachel.
"It's me!" exclaimed Rachel.
Maddy sighs in relief over seeing Rachel.
"You scared me." said Maddy.
"Sorry. I didn't mean to scare you." said Rachel.
"Where is everyone at?" asked Maddy.
"I have no idea. I'm looking for your brother. Have you seen him?"
"I haven't seen him or anyone else."
"Yeah. We literally just walked in the house." Victor informs her.
"I wonder where everyone is at." said Maddy.
"I think Veronica and Zachary went down to the rec room. But the last time that I saw Finn, he said that he was going to check on your Dad." Rachel remembered.
"Then we'll just go upstairs and check." suggested Maddy.
"Good idea." stated Rachel.
Before the three could move for the stairs, they hear movement coming from the living room.
"Shh!" exclaimed Rachel. "I heard something in the living room."
The three with Rachel in front head for the living room.
"Finn, is that you?" asked Rachel.
There is no response.
"Is somebody there?" asked Rachel as she got closer and closer to the entryway.
Rachel steps up to the entryway between the foyer and the living room. But before she can fully step into the living room - WASHINGTON appears out from behind the living room wall and proceeds to stab Rachel multiple times in the chest. Rachel screams out in pain as she's being stabbed.
"RACHEL!" cried out Maddy.
"STOP IT!" demanded Victor of Washington.
Victor charges at him as Washington finishes Rachel off. With Victor attacking him, Washington releases Rachel's body before he grabs Victor by the throat and pulls him forward towards him. The two stare at each other. Victor is preparing himself to be killed. But rather than killing him, Washington swings Victor against the wall, knocking him out, and releasing his unconscious body to fall to the floor. Now it's Washington and Maddy left.
Maddy takes off running through the foyer and into the kitchen. Washington gives chase. Maddy is an extremely fast runner and is able to make it to the backdoor before Washington even makes it into the kitchen. She opens the backdoor and takes off running. Washington continues to pursue her.
Maddy runs across the backyard towards the woods. Just as she makes it to the woods, she finds Zachary. But she assumes that he is dead and Washington is close on her ass. So she doesn't stop and keeps on running into the woods. She gets deeper and deeper into the woods, which gets darker and darker as the trees block the view of the moon, making it difficult for Maddy to see where she's going. But having lived here for all of her life, she knows exactly where everything is at.
Washington and Maddy lose each other in the dark. But they both know their way around these woods. But these woods are big and wide. They can be anywhere. They almost run into each other a few times while he's searching for her and she's searching for a place to hide. It's almost fair play at this moment as neither one of them knows where the other is at.
Maddy is getting extremely scared as she doesn't see Washington anywhere. For all she knows Washington can see her and is playing with her. But truth be told, even he doesn't know where she's at. Maddy begins to walk backwards, keeping her eye forward. She keeps backing and backing until she hits something. She becomes horrified, thinking that he may have just snuck up on her. She slowly turns around to see that she has actually backed against a tree. She sighs in relief.
Maddy turns back around only to find Washington right in front of her. She screams upon seeing him. She attempts to run. But he grabs her. She struggles enough to fall to the ground. But he proceeds to drag her. As she's being dragged, she finds a big rock and takes it. Washington stops dragging her to get a better hold of her. She swings the rock and hits him over the head. Washington groans in pain and grabs his head, losing his knife in the process.
Maddy kicks him backwards and gets up. She proceeds to swing the rock at him multiple times. But Washington backs away and dodges the swings. As he backs away, he accidentally steps on slippery mud. Washington loses his balance and falls backwards against a tree, hitting the back of his head. Washington is knocked out by this.
Maddy sighs in relief upon defeating the killer. He is down. She can do anything to him now. Perhaps she can kill him. She takes his knife and slowly approaches him, contemplating on killing him. But as she gets closer and closer to him, another idea comes to mind. Take off his mask. What does he look like behind that mask? Would she recognize him or would he be a complete stranger to her? Maddy reaches her hand out to him, getting closer and closer to his mask. She gets within reaching distance of his mask when fear overcomes her. Too afraid of him stopping her, she doesn't go anything further. Maddy drops the knife and takes off running.
As she runs back towards her backyard, she would continually look back to see if Washington has recovered or not. But she eventually loses sight of him and just keeps on running until she makes it back to her backyard. Still assuming that Zachary is dead, she runs past his body and runs back inside the house through the backyard. She closes the backdoor and locks it. She sighs, thinking that she has made it.
Maddy peaks through the window to see if Washington is returning to the house. But there is no sign of him anywhere. Just darkness. She can see the dark outline of Zachary's body lying on the ground. Otherwise, there is nobody out there. Maybe Washington is still passed out or perhaps he may have been killed by the hit to the head. One could only hope.
Suddenly, a hand grabs Maddy on the shoulder from behind. Maddy gasps in horror as she spins around to find - FINN.
"Finn! Thank God!" exclaimed Maddy.
The Monroe twins hug each other with relief.
"I thought you were dead." stated Maddy.
"No. The asshole just knocked me out." Finn assured Maddy. "Where is he?"
"He chased me out into the woods but he slipped and hit his head against a tree. So I don't know if he's alive or just knocked out."
"We have to find everyone else." Finn suggests.
"Zachary is dead. I don't know where Veronica is. And..." then Maddy remembered. "Rachel...he got her."
Finn is devastated upon hearing this.
"Rachel...no." Finn cried.
Maddy hugs her brother to comfort him.
"I'm so sorry." said Maddy. "But we have to find Dad, Veronica, and Victor."
Finn nods in agreement. The brother and sister duo leave the kitchen and walk to the foyer where they find Rachel's body and an unconscious Victor. While Maddy attends to her boyfriend, Finn sadly kneels down to his girlfriend's body.
"Oh, God! Rachel!" cried out Finn.
Maddy successfully wakes Victor up from unconsciousness. He is very confused upon regaining consciousness.
"What the hell is going on?" asked Victor.
"It's okay, baby. I got him. It's over." replied Maddy.
The couple hug each other. They turn to Finn as he cries over Rachel. Finn moves his hand to touch her. Suddenly - Rachel grabs his hand.
