Back again! I actually have most of this story done so I'm trying to get it all posted as soon as possible.
Well! Let's continue!
Chapter 2: The Reds
Later that night, the Sailor Guardians with Usagi, Mamoru, Luna, and Artemis at the Hikawa Shrine, reporting the incident with berserker along with the explanation of Ziel and Angelus. Once the Guardians described the Paladins, Artemis and Luna froze.
"You guys actually had a fight without me?!" Usagi complained. "Seriously?!"
"Oh, like you ever wanna be in fight!" Rei argued.
"It's not that! I just hate being left out!"
"It's not like we could go get you and come back," Mako shrugged.
"Yeah, you could have!" Usagi countered.
Rei threw her head back, "Oh, my God!"
"Hold on!" Luna interrupted. "The guys who fought the monster. How were they dressed?!"
"Oh!" Minako thought back. "They wore all black. One had a long red scarf and the other had like… half a cape, I guess. It was red, too. And he had a sword."
"The cape and the scarf," Artemis began, "were they red… or crimson?"
Ami pondered for a moment. "Actually… yes, they were crimson. And they had a crimson mark over right eyes and some kind of coat-of-arms on their back."
"What kind of coat-of-arms?" Luna asked.
"A sword and shield, with the shield overlapping the sword. That was crimson, too."
Luna and Artemis looked at each other, mouths agape.
"They couldn't be!" Artemis declared.
"But they must be!" Luna countered.
"But… the order was destroyed! Wasn't it?"
"I thought so. But… it looks like there are, at least, two left."
"Luna, out with it, who are these guys?" Usagi demanded.
"They're members of the Crimson Paladins!" Luna said, astonished.
"Who?" the girls and Mamoru asked, simultaneously.
"The Crimson Paladins were comprised of soldiers from all across the universe," Artemis explained. "Individuals who were discovered to have unique, unconquerable spirits had their abilities awakened within them, once they were chosen to become Paladins. Over time, due to their efforts and bravery, Paladins became legendary."
"The only reason they weren't present during the Dark Kingdom's attack is because they had their own war to fight," Luna added. "Sadly… that's where their story comes to an end."
"They were allies to the Moon Kingdom?" Rei asked.
"Eternal allies. Of the Moon Kingdom and anyone who fought on the side of good and justice. We thought they were extinct."
"Well, like you said, there are at least two of them left," Mina noted.
"Why are they dressed in that kind of clothing?" Ami asked. "That doesn't seem to be much protection for such prominent soldiers."
"That's kinda on the nose for us to point that out," Mako noted.
"True. I'm more curious than anything."
"The clothes are magically more powerful than any armor," Artemis explained. "Besides that, only the strongest-willed warriors became Paladins. If you can even manage to hit one, you better hope you're strong enough to take them down for good. Otherwise, the Paladin will rise and defeat you. The 'Crimson' part of their name came from the red scarves, their crest, and the red mark over their eyes, all symbols of their strength and courage. If anyone is able to hit them, they'll find that they take a lot of damage before they go down." He shook his head, "I can't believe it. The Reds are still around."
"'Reds'?" Minako asked.
"A nickname for them."
"Sometimes, one used in the negative," Luna glowered at Artemis.
Artemis cautiously moved back. "Uhhh, right! Sorry."
"So, then, they are allies?" Rei asked.
"Only the bravest of heroes wear that uniform. Only true warriors bear the Paladin Crest."
"If they're here, something big is going on," Luna added. "We have to find them and talk to them."
"Is it that important?" Mako asked.
"If the Paladins are here and fighting… we have to side with them."
"Are you sure we can trust them?" Ami asked.
"All of you have to trust us," Artemis answered, "we promise: they're the good guys."
After a fruitless night of searching for where the berserker came from, Cass and Victor went to their rental house. Once they were inside, Victor laid down on the couch, staring blankly at the ceiling, while Cass sat in an easy chair.
After a few minutes of silence, Cass looked over at Victor, "Too much for you?"
"No," Victor answered. "Seeing berserkers doesn't trigger me. Not anymore."
"Good, because this is likely to get far worse before it gets any better. The odds of more Disciples coming to Tokyo is high."
"Creeps."
"As you say." Cass thought for a moment. "I think they're trying to complete the Effigy."
Victor froze then slowly turned to Cass, staring at him in fear. "Oh, hell."
"Exactly." Cass stood up and walked to the window. "It's now become imperative we end this. To protect this city and the world from them."
"Couldn't agree more."
"Tonight's events confirmed one more thing." Cass turned to Victor. "We have to find and discuss things with the Sailor Guardians."
Victor nodded. He thought for a moment then smiled a bit. He sat up. "I think I know where to start…"
The following afternoon, Rei was sweeping toward the Shrine entrance steps; she looked up and saw Victor ascending the steps, his hands in his pockets and his headphones on.
Victor looked at her and smiled, lowering his headphones. "Good afternoon."
"Hello! Welcome to…" Rei blinked. "Hold on. I… I saw you… yesterday. On the street by the restaurant."
"I noticed. I saw you, too. And last night."
"Last night?"
"You throw a mean fireball. Not unexpected for a Sailor Guardian."
Rei looked around, confirming they were alone. She looked back at him. "You're… one of the Crimson Paladins."
"You've heard of us? I'm honored! No one ever knows who we are. I keep saying we need a PR rep."
Rei smiled a bit.
"Well! Allow me to introduce myself. Victor Strong!" Victor bowed and rose up, then gave a quick salute with two fingers. "Paladin Sentinel. Call sign: Angelus. A pleasure to make your acquaintance."
Rei nodded, "Likewise. I'm Rei Hino. Sailor Mars."
"Nice to meet you, Ms. Hino."
"Oh!" Rei blushed. "You, uh… you can just call me 'Rei'."
"Awesome. You can call me 'Victor' or 'Vic'. I'm good either way."
"Okay. We're told Crimson Paladins are good guys."
"We do our best," Victor replied. "If it's alright, we should talk."
"Yeah, we should." Rei motioned toward the Shrine. "Please."
"Thank you," Victor nodded.
They walked toward the Shrine and Rei kept taking passing glances at Victor. He seemed to be the same age as her, maybe slightly older. It wasn't uncommon for an American to be in Tokyo, but someone of African-American decent was rare.
"So, why come to Tokyo?" Rei asked.
"We're in the final stages, we think… we hope, of a very long hunt," Victor answered.
"Hunt?"
"REI!" Yuichiro yelled, getting Rei's and Victor's attention as he ran up to her.
"Yuichiro!" Rei groaned. "Jeez, why are you yelling?!"
"I can't find your grandpa anywhere! I think I was supposed to do something. But… I forgot."
"Oh, good grief! You're supposed to meet him at the market! Get going!"
"Oh, yeah! That's right." Yuichiro stopped and looked at Victor. Then glared at him.
Victor blinked. "Hello!"
"And just who are you?"
"Victor Strong. A pleasure!"
Yuichiro held his glare, let out a low groan. "This guy a friend of yours, Rei?"
Rei groaned. "Yes! He's a guest!"
"You know this guy well? Is he staying here?! Ya sure you can trust him?!"
Rei roared, "YUICHIRO, YOU IDIOT!" She kicked Yuichiro in the stomach. "GO MEET GRANDPA AND LEAVE MY GUEST ALONE!"
Yuichiro doubled over in pain and squeaked out, "Okay! I'm going." He slowly walked off but looked back at Victor.
"NOW!"
Yuichiro turned and ran off down the steps.
Victor chuckled. "So… he your boyfriend?"
Rei grunted and blushed, "Of course not!"
"You sure? Pretty positive he doesn't like me. Which is fair, I'm annoying. I mean, he should have a full conversation with me. He'll really not like me by the time I'm done talking!"
Rei almost laughed.
"Is he worried I'll steal you from him?"
Rei looked away. "Who cares?! No one's stealing me from anyone! He's not boyfriend!"
Victor grinned, "Uh-huh. Does he know that? Do you know that?"
Rei grunted again. "I'm… going to call the others now. Wait here, please."
"Sure thing."
"Can you call your friend?"
"He's already on his way."
"Okay. Be right back."
Nearly an hour later, the rest of the Guardians, the cats, and Mamoru arrived to find Victor sitting on the Shrine steps as he admired the trees; Rei stepped out of the temple, meeting the others. Lowering his headphones again, Victor looked at the group and smiled.
"It is that guy from yesterday!" Mako declared.
"Hello there!" Victor waved.
"Whoa!" Minako breathed out. "We were right! He is cute!"
"MINAKO!" Usagi, Ami, and Mako shouted. Rei just groaned and pressed her fingers to her forehead.
Victor laughed. "Thank you for that. Honestly, that was a first."
"No way," Minako protested.
"No, I'm serious." Victor shrugged, "Always working. Unless they're evil psychotic killers, you don't meet a lotta girls on this job."
"Yay us!"
"Oh, my God!" Mako threw her head back while Victor laughed again.
"I can honestly say," Victor smiled, "I like all of you already."
"You seem pretty cool, too," Usagi agreed.
"Thanks."
"So, you're a Crimson Paladin, right?" Ami asked.
"That's me! Victor Strong! Paladin Sentinel, Angelus. At your service! Nice to meet you all."
"Nice to meet you," Mamoru replied. Everyone then introduced themselves.
"Where's the other guy with you?" Mako asked.
"That's a good question. He should've been here by now." Victor looked toward the steps and smiled. "Oh, there he is! Fashionably late!"
"I'm fashionably on time," Cass retorted. "I told you I needed a few minutes."
"Yeah, yeah!"
Cass approached the group, giving everyone a view of his dark blue, three-piece suit.
"Whoa!" all of the girls exhaled at once.
"What's with the suit?" Victor asked.
"I had a meeting," Cass answered. "It's why I needed a little while."
"I thought that was tomorrow morning."
"Another one came up. Just a quick matter to settle."
"And you didn't tell me because…?"
Cass gave him a dry glare, "It just came up. I got a call after you rushed out of the house. I'm sorry I didn't clear it with you, 'father.'"
"You always just cast me aside!" Victor folded his arms. "I'm not even worth you keeping up your schedule with! I'm so ignored!"
"Oh, God! You're such a drama king."
Victor smiled, snidely. "Learned from the best."
"Whatever." Cass looked at the others. "Sailor Guardians. A pleasure."
"Oh, that's right!" Ami said. "You knew us last night. How, exactly?"
"Aside from the news covering you all, I can sense the power of Sailor Guardians. I can sense powers, anyway, but being able to locate Sailor Guardians is one of the benefits of a Champion Paladin."
"YOU'RE A CHAMPION PALADIN?!" Artemis slammed his paws over his mouth, "Oops!"
"ARTEMIS!" Luna slapped her paws over her mouth, "Oops!"
Cass chuckled, "It's alright. I figured you could both talk, given the crescent moon marks on your foreheads."
"At the very least, I figured you both were capable of higher conscious thought than regular cats," Victor shrugged.
Luna and Artemis blushed while the girls laughed.
"You guys are really observant," Mamoru noted.
"We have to be," Cass replied. "It's important, given our line of work."
"Otherwise, we'd be 86'd on a regular basis," Victor gestured a thumbs-down.
"Indeed." Cass took a deep breath, "But! Forgive me. No sense in being any ruder than I already have been. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Cass. Bellum, being the surname I use. Rank: Champion Paladin. Paladin name: Ziel."
The Guardians, the cats, and Mamoru introduced themselves to Cass.
"My absolute pleasure to meet you all." Cass bowed and rose up, "A true honor to be in the presence of Sailor Guardians." He looked at Usagi and Mamoru, "And royalty."
Usagi jerked her head back. "You know?!"
"Word of the Moon Kingdom and the war with the Dark Kingdom was known in certain parts of the universe." Cass sighed. "Had it not been for the war with the Great Destroyers leaving our order in tatters… the Paladins would've been there for all of you. My apologies."
"It's alright," Mamoru replied.
"'Parts of the universe'?" Ami asked.
Cass smiled. "I'm very well-traveled."
"That's putting it mildly," Victor mused.
"Quiet, you!" Cass regarded the others. "So! It's high time we explain why we're here."
"Yeah!" Minako spoke up. "I mean, what the heck was that thing last night?!"
"It's known as a berserker. A living weapon of the Disciples of Havoc."
"The Disciples of Havoc?" Luna asked.
"They're members of a demon-like race," Cass explained. "They hail from another dimension known as the Abysm. Well, they did. The Abysm has long since been left in ruin. The Disciples that are left are the last remains of their race. Myself and Victor are in constant struggle with their remaining lieutenants, especially one of their most powerful members, Verdune the Devil Priest. We must defeat them before they complete the Effigy."
"Or they'll enslave everyone in Tokyo," Victor said, grimly. "An entire metropolis as their food source and/or army."
"And the world will soon follow."
"So, what do you need to do?" Rei asked.
"We believe all of the Disciples, Verdune included, are looking for the broken pieces of the Effigy. It's not complete, and the weakness of the Disciples is evident, which explains why the berserkers someone has created keep getting loose or even die not long after their creation. However, if they can complete the Effigy, that will enable the Disciples to convert any living creature into one of them."
"How?" Mako asked.
"The Effigy is a source of corrupted, dark magic," Cass continued. "Centuries ago, it was destroyed but so great was its power that it created items known as Effigy Splinters. Some Disciples have the Splinters. However, since the true Effigy was merely broken, it could still be reassembled. If the Effigy is completed and fully powered, they can use it freely and convert as many living entities as they want for their plan. They plan to sacrifice all of Tokyo for this goal."
"And that's just for starters," Victor added.
"Anything living?" Ami asked.
"Anything," Cass confirmed. "Human. Animal. It doesn't matter. If it breathes, if it has a pulse, the Disciples can use it."
The girls, Mamoru, and the cats all looked at each other, determination written all over their faces, then back at Cass and Victor. "How can we help?" Usagi asked.
Cass smiled, "We just need to find any pieces of the Effigy, gather them, and destroy them." He reached into his pocket, "I found one Splinter. This may help us find the others and any Disciples."
"You're carrying it on you?" Victor asked. "That might draw them right to you."
Cass grinned wider. "Exactly."
"Wait, how long have you had that?!"
"Since yesterday."
Victor froze. "Ya couldn't mention you had that yesterday?!"
"And miss this reaction from you? Where was the fun in that?"
Victor growled, lowly, as he glared at Cass.
Usagi giggled, "Are you guys brothers?"
"As much as you would think so, no," Cass pocketed the Splinter. "I found Victor when he was but a young lad."
"Saved my life," Victor continued. "Raised me and trained me ever since."
"How come?" Usagi asked. "Like… saved you from what?"
The group sensed a malevolent presence nearby.
"A question best answered later!" Cass looked toward the city.
Victor rushed to his feet. "That's not a berserker!"
"No. It's… stronger."
"And familiar."
Victor and Cass looked at each other, shouting, "Goneril!"
"Is that bad?" Mako asked.
"Worse," Cass answered. "He's one of the lieutenants I mentioned."
"Can we transform here?" Victor asked.
"Yeah," Rei nodded. "We're alone."
Cass and Victor summoned the Paladin Guards. "Let's roll!" Cass ordered Victor.
"Right!" Victor nodded.
"Rise to battle!" Victor and Cass shouted in unison, performing the matching actions. "Crimson Paladin! TO ARMS!"
After they transformed, Usagi and the rest stared at them in wonder. "That is so cool…" Usagi whispered.
"Stop being impressed!" Luna ordered. She paused. "Although… that was… wow." She shook her head then looked at Usagi, "You transform, too!"
"Hey! You were impressed, too!"
"USAGI!"
"Alright, alright!" Usagi looked at the others, "Ready?" They all nodded. Usagi raised her hand, "Moon Crystal Power, Make Up!"
"Mercury Star Power, Make Up!"
"Mars Star Power, Make Up!"
"Jupiter Star Power, Make Up!"
"Venus Star Power, Make Up!"
Mamoru summoned a rose to his hand and, in a flash, transformed into Tuxedo Mask.
After their transformations, Angelus smiled, "And you say ours we're cool? That was awesome!"
"Let's hurry!" Ziel insisted. "I think we just discovered who created the berserkers."
Goneril stood in the middle of a junkyard. He stood an average height for a human and even mostly appeared human. The primary difference was the light-tinted green hue of his skin and his fangs. He was holding his magic wand over the corpse of a dead animal. He growled, "Dammit, dammit! No! Still not enough power!"
"Not having enough power never stopped you being an idiot before, Goneril," Angelus shouted.
Goneril turned around to see the Sailor Guardians, Crimson Paladins, and Tuxedo Mask glaring at him.
Goneril growled. "The Dragon and the Angel…" He looked at the Guardians and Mask, "Who are they? Did you two join a theater group and not say anything? I would've visited a show!"
"How does he not know who we are?!" Venus asked.
"He's an idiot," Angelus answered. "Like I said."
"That's enough, Goneril," Ziel ordered. "Put down your wand and surrender."
"I've got a better idea!"
Goneril shot forth a wave of dark green energy group, forcing them to dodge. Ziel and Angelus jumped straight for Goneril, deploying their sword and sais, respectively. The Paladins went on the attack while Goneril put up the best defense he could.
The Guardians and Mask witnessed in wonder at Ziel and Angelus's battle expertise. They seemed to move, seamlessly and almost gracefully. It absolutely confirmed for them these two were more than just respectable heroes; they were pros.
"Wow…" all of the Guardians breathed out.
"They're really good!" Venus noted.
Goneril lifted his wand in the air, sending discs of green energy sailing at the heroes.
"DON'T LET THOSE TOUCH YOU!" Angelus ordered.
The Guardians and Mask moved in time, and one of the discs hit a mound of junk, causing it to corrode and decay in seconds.
"AAHHHHHH!" Moon screamed. "That coulda melted us!"
Mercury scanned the area. "The corrosion is magical and biological."
"Precisely, Sailor Mercury," Ziel confirmed. "Twice as deadly."
Goneril stopped. "Sailor…" He scoffed. "They're the Sailor Guardians. Of course." He grinned. "The power of a Sailor Guardian. That'll do!"
"Over my dead body, freak!" Sheathing his sais, Angelus jumped in the air. "Raven's Scythe!" A gathering of pitch-black energy gathered in his hands then taking the form of a scythe.
"That was cool!" Venus noted.
"Thanks! Takes a lot of power!" Angelus dashed at Goneril and they continued to battle while Ziel gathered his fire.
"Oh, I am not just sitting back!" Jupiter summoned lightning around her. "Sparkling! Wide! Pressure!" She threw her lightning ball while Angelus back flipped over.
The lightning struck Goneril, causing him to scream in agony.
"Nice, Sailor Jupiter!" Angelus gave her a thumbs-up.
"Venus Love Me Chain!" Venus threw the Chain, binding Goneril.
Goneril struggled against the chain. He gritted his teeth and roared, "DO NOT THINK ME SOME LOWLY MAGGOT!" He screamed and his powers exploded throwing everyone back, even interrupting Ziel's power gathering.
Ziel pushed himself up first, glaring at Goneril.
"You bring these children to play a game of devils?!" Goneril's body began to morph. "Such recklessness, Paladin." He grew taller and lankier as his wand was absorbed into his skin. His fangs grew larger and horns emerged from his forehead.
The Guardians, Mask, and Angelus all looked up to witness Goneril's transformation.
"Oh, my God…" Mercury whispered.
"Can they all do that?!" Moon asked.
"In some way, yeah," Angelus got to his feet, reforming his scythe.
Ziel glowered at Goneril, swinging his sword. "Is this true horrid appearance supposed to change our opinion of your maggot status?"
"No," Goneril roared. "BUT YOUR DEATHS WILL!"
Goneril charged at Ziel, who held his ground. Suddenly, Angelus was in between them, swinging his scythe and slicing Goneril across the face. Goneril roared but punched Angelus back.
"Shine Aqua Illusion!" Mercury unleashed her attack, freezing Goneril's legs.
"WHAT?!" Goneril screamed.
Ziel looked at Moon, "SAILOR MOON! MAY I HAVE YOUR ASSISTANCE, PLEASE?!"
Moon nodded, "Okay!" She summoned her Moon Rod.
Ziel summoned his fire around his sword.
Moon aimed the Rod at Goneril, "Moon Princess Halation!"
Faster than anyone could see, Ziel rushed at Goneril and, when he was close enough and just as Moon's Halation reached Goneril, Ziel swung his sword, "Judgement!"
The combined attacks exploded in a flash of fire and light. Moments later, both subsided revealing Goneril back to his original form, sitting on his knees. Goneril fell, face-first, into the ground.
"Did… did we get him?" Venus hesitantly asked.
"I think so…" Jupiter confirmed.
Angelus slowly approached Goneril.
But stopped when he heard Goneril slowly laughing.
"That's not good…" Angelus noted.
"What's so funny, devil?" Ziel asked.
Goneril pushed himself up, chortling, "You think killing me matters?" He moved over to sit against a pile of junk, "It doesn't! My bid to become god may have failed… but you'll die, Reds!" He laughed. "You'll die all the same." He laughed until his eyes glowed a dark green then his laughter slowed and the glow in his eyes faded. Goneril's head drooped as he let out one last chuckle then a final exhale.
"Oh, great…" Angelus groaned.
"It would seem our battle truly is only beginning," Ziel noted.
"Yeah." Angelus looked at Goneril's form.
Goneril's body turned grey and began to crack and crumble to pieces of what seemed like small chunks of rock.
Once a certain amount of Goneril's corpse had deteriorated, Angelus studied his form then his eyes widened. "Boss!"
Ziel looked at the corpse and saw something glowing in Goneril's chest cavity. He reached down and retrieved the object. "That's not a Splinter!"
Angelus's eyes widened. "It… feels like a piece of the original!"
"It is."
"What is that?" Jupiter asked.
"A piece of the true Effigy," Ziel answered, studying the piece.
"Please, tell me that's a good thing," Venus begged.
"Sadly, the opposite. This one is charged with malevolent energy." Ziel looked at the others. "Charged upon the Disciples' death."
Angelus leaned his head to the side. "Did I miss something or was he not wearing that?"
"No, he wasn't. It was inside of his chest."
"Ewww!" Moon, Venus, Mars, and Jupiter shivered.
"I don't like where this is going," Angelus admitted.
"You and me, both." Ziel stared, intently, into space.
"I know that look."
"You have it, too."
"Why the look?" Jupiter asked.
"The Disciples don't usually make themselves present unless they're ready to fight," Ziel explained. "They're cowards like that. Goneril clearly wasn't ready. Something is happening. Perhaps… they're getting desperate."
"That doesn't sound like a good thing, either," Mercury noted.
"Very much not, Sailor Mercury."
"Are we taking that with us?" Angelus asked.
"For now," Ziel exhaled. "I'll keep it on me for now. I need to know what's going on." He surged his fire a bit, surrounding the Effigy piece.
"What's that for?" Mars asked.
"My fire can serve several purposes. I'm binding the Effigy piece and masking it."
"Smart!" Venus nodded.
"I get by." Ziel huffed, pocketing the piece. He smiled a bit. "It would seem this evening has been more eventful than we expected. May I offer that we meet tomorrow at our rental home to discuss things further?"
"You guys have a rental house?" Mercury asked.
"He does," Angelus pointed at Ziel. "I just live there, too. He's rich."
Ziel stared at Angelus, dryly. "Really?"
"What? Are you not rich?"
"I am but that's not the point!" Ziel looked at the others, "If all of you would like to come by, it would be an honor to host you all. We can speak in more detail."
"Are you sure?" Mars asked. "We don't want to impose."
"It's fine. I'll even cook."
"We'll be there!" Moon said, immediately.
The other Guardians, Luna, and Artemis groaned.
Ziel smiled. "Splendid!"
While they finalized the plans, Angelus looked back at Goneril's shattered form, glaring at it. 'They're here. I know it.'
It was the early hours of the morning, almost dawn, when Verdune and Bahram approached the site of the battle and Goneril's defeat.
"Oh, Goneril," Verdune mused. "You always reached too high."
"A trait of the lowly peasants, Master," Bahram reminded.
"True enough." Verdune reached his hand out, used to his powers to shift the pieces of Goneril's fallen form into ashes, and absorbed the ashes into his skin. "Hm. The Reds. As fierce as ever."
"The boy…"
"With the Dragon. Who is still so fiercely protective of his ward. It seems we'll be able settle all affairs at once."
"They took the Effigy shard," Bahram noted.
"I expected as much," Verdune sighed. "But it's only one shard. We have the rest, save for two, and Goneril's power. That'll be enough."
"This does leave us with quite a bit to deal with, opposition-wise though. What should we do about the Sailor Guardians?"
"They're still essential. While I do admit five Sailor Guardians and the Paladins is…" Verdune growled, "a problem… we need the Guardians. I believe even Goneril realized it."
"A lot of good it did him."
"Still. He was useful. His presence confirmed the Reds have arrived. Knowing they're here is enough." Verdune looked at Bahram. "We'll take the Sailor Guardians. With that, we no longer need worry about the Angel boy. When the time is right, we will focus all of our efforts toward killing him."
Bahram smiled. "Gladly. And the Dragon?"
"I'll take his head myself. It'll look wonderful mounted on a pike in our new world."
A/N: So, the Disciples are in Tokyo, confirmed. Their ability to transform was inspired by Resident Evil. In the next chapter, we get more backstory. Be here for it!
