Prologue

It was a bright morning on Patch.

The sun was shining down, when Summer Rose opened the door, and looked down.

There was a little basket on the ground.

"What?" asked Summer, "What this?"

Under the blankets, was a little surprise.

"Oh my!" said Summer.

She then brought in the basket, and then she held the object in her arms.

"Sum, you up?"

Coming down the stairs was Taiyang Xiao Long.

"Sweetie, what's going on? What is that?"

"It's a baby," said Summer, "He was on the front door."

"The front door?"

"Yes, and he's new born too!"

"How do you know?"

Summer pulled up a note, and read it,

'Dear owner of this house,

'If you find my baby, please keep him safe. He is a very special boy. Raise him well, and help him grow. He is said to hold a great power, and you will find if when he starts walking.

'And if you're wondering why he looks that way, he's one of the last of his kind. The link between animals and Faunus.

'His name is Sonic. Tell him that I love him, and will watch him from above.

'Sincerely, Long Claw.'

"Oh," said Tai, "Well, how does he look?"

Tai looked at Sonic, and jumped back seeing it was a blue humanoid hedgehog.

"My, I never thought I'd see one his kind in my life!" said Tai.

"Well, what say we show the girls their new brother?" asked Summer.

Tai brought them down, and Ruby and Yang instantly loved their new baby brother.

"He's so cute!" said Ruby.

"We'll love him always!" said Yang.

Tai and Summer smiled at the siblings, and Sonic was now awake, waving his hands about, and laughing.

14 years later(Sonic 14, Ruby 15, Yang 17)...

Yang had just arrived back home, and said, "I just got accepted into Beacon! I leave in one week!"

"That's great!" said Ruby.

Sonic then came down, at high speeds, and tackled the two to the ground.

"That is great Yang!" said Sonic, "Now, we're gonna work hard to get into Beacon as well!"

Just then, the house phone rang, and Yang picked it up.

"Hello, Rose-Xiao Long Residence!"

"Yang!" panted a voice.

"Dad? What's going on?"

"Something's gone wrong! You're mother and I aren't going to be able to come home!"

"I don't understand," said Yang.

"Someone by the name of Robotnik has captured us! He wants to use us in his army! Says our bond is the key!"

"Where's Mom?"

"She busy! I don't know how much longer she can hold up!"

"What do we do!?"

"Don't worry," said Tai, "You have Sonic."

Flash...

Sonic is seen on a treadmill, with Summer looking at his speed.

Sonic then hit dummies put up by Tai with his body in a ball like a projectile.

He is then seen spinning in place, before taking off, and hitting the Grimm.

Tai and Sonic then do some sparing, and each are fairing well.

Present...

"He can protect you both!"
