Police have taken over the Monroe house. An officer keeps the crowd of neighbors behind the yellow tape. Finn is being placed into an ambulance as James talks to him before he's taken away.
"I'll be right behind you, son." James assured Finn.
"Okay. I'll be fine, Dad." replied Finn.
The paramedics close the ambulance back door and the ambulance takes off with Finn. James reunites with Maddy and Victor who are finishing giving their statements to the police. Victor is wearing bandages around his shoulder to cover his wound from Rachel. James gives the couple a warm smile.
"You're not a bad guy, Victor McQueen." said James.
"Thank you, Mr. Monroe." expressed Victor.
"I was wrong to judge you. Especially after all that I did myself. If my daughter feels that you're good enough for her...then that's good enough for me. I officially give you my blessing."
Maddy and Victor smile over this.
"Thank you, Dad." said Maddy
"Thank you, sir." Victor repeated.
"No problem." replied James.
"Oh, God! I'm hurting!" exclaimed a voice familiar to Maddy.
Maddy turns to see a very much alive Veronica being strolled out of the house in a gurney. She's injured very badly. But she seems to be in better spirits than others.
"I can't believe I survived this." Veronica tells Maddy as she's strolled past her.
"I'm so happy to see that you're okay." stated Maddy.
"Me, too. I just wish that...Zachary..." Veronica is unable to finish her sentence.
"I know." replied a saddened Maddy.
Both Maddy and Veronica proceed to cry to mourn Zachary when...
"WE GOT ALIVE ONE HERE!" shouted a paramedic.
Maddy, Victor, and Veronica turn to see - a gravely wounded but barely alive Zachary being rushed on a gurney.
"Zachary!" exclaimed Veronica.
Zachary slowly turns to see his girlfriend. He braves up enough strength to smile upon seeing her alive.
"Veronica." Zachary softly mumbles. Too hurt to speak loudly.
"You hang in there, babe." shouted Veronica as Zachary is placed into an ambulance.
After Zachary is placed in an ambulance, Veronica is next to be placed in an ambulance. As the ambulance leaves with Veronica, Calvin returns home, shocked and confused by the activity outside his house. He approaches Maddy.
"What's happened?" asked Calvin.
"It's over, Calvin. It's over." replied Maddy.
Maddy hugs her big brother. He holds her tightly with great relief that she's okay. Maddy sees a police car pulling up to the house. Coming out of the car is Detective DeLuca and her SURFACK friend Kay.
"Maddy!" Kay called out.
"Kay!" exclaimed an excited Maddy.
The two girls embrace each other.
"You okay?" asked Kay.
"I'm fine." Maddy assures her before asking, "What are you doing here?"
Just then, A gurney containing a body bag comes by and stops next to DeLuca and Kay.
"I have to see this for myself." said Kay.
The Morgue Staff opens the body bag to reveal the dead body of Kevin Lassiter. Both Kay and DeLuca look into his eyes. There is no more life to him. He is dead without the possibility of coming back to life. Kay begins to cry with joy over this.
"Finally...I can move on and live my life without fear." stated Kay.
Maddy glances back and forth between Kay and Lassiter before realizing...
"You...You're Krista Stillson." Maddy realized.
Kay smiles and nods.
"Yes." Kay confirmed.
Kay is, indeed, the grownup Krista Stillson, the sole survivor of Kevin Lassiter's original murders six years ago.
Maddy, Victor, Finn, Veronica, Zachary, and Judge Monroe survived the George Washington killings in Tippecanoe. Rachel took credit for the murder of Billy Calhoun. But Rachel was with Maddy both times when Aria Shaw and Principal Roosevelt were murdered. Not to mention that both Maddy and Victor witnessed Rachel's fake murder by a Washington Killer, the unknown person who Rachel admitted was her partner. This means that there is a second George Washington Killer.
After Maddy remembered the second Washington killer, she told the police where he was passed out in the woods. But when the police went there, he was gone. So if he was still alive and on the loose, why didn't he go back to the house to finish the job? Who is Rachel's Mysterious Partner? Is he somebody that Maddy and her group knows or somebody they will soon meet?
After seeing the negative impact that his decisions as a judge had had on Tippecanoe, James resigned from his judgeship but kept his bar license and remained a lawyer. He just didn't want to make any legal decisions where he knew the truth despite the evidence saying otherwise. He ruined too many lives because of that. The Washington murders were the biggest consequences of his decision making as a judge. He just couldn't do it anymore. James finally confessed his infidelity to Finn, which understandably upset Finn. But both Finn and Maddy eventually forgave him as they know that it's what their mother would want from them. Calvin had already known the truth for years and has never spoken about it.
Vice Principal William Hoover was appointed by the school board to be the permanent Principal of Tippecanoe High after the death of Principal Gerald Roosevelt. Detective Andrew DeLuca was promoted from Sergeant to Lieutenant. Maddy and Victor's relationship has grown since the events of the Washington murders. They no longer have to keep anything a secret from anyone. The entire town knows about them. They are considered heroes by the people of Tippecanoe.
It took Finn a long time to heal from the heartbreak of his own girlfriend being the killer. His wounds healed quickly. But his heart would take a while to heal from the betrayal. But he will eventually be okay. The group was devastated and traumatized over the fact that somebody that they knew and loved betrayed them and tried to kill them. It's not easy to live with the fact that one of your closest friends was easily willing to kill you and other innocent people. Maddy knew of only one thing to help her group heal from this trauma.
Victor, Finn, Veronica, and Zachary arrive outside Portable C. They stop at the door and turn to each other as if to question whether they are going to do this or not.
"Are we ready?" asked Finn.
"I'm curious about what this is all about." stated Zachary.
"If Maddy is doing it, then we all should." declared Veronica.
"Yeah. It might help us." agreed Victor.
"Well, let's do this." said Finn.
Finn opens the door and they enter the portable classroom. They find chairs sitting in a large circle with Maddy and Krista sitting in the middle. The SURFACK Banner is hanging on the wall behind. Maddy smiles and stands up. She approaches her group with a welcoming greeting.
"Welcome to your first day of healing. Welcome to your first day as a survivor fighting back your trauma. Welcome to...SURFACK."
