POV ADA MARROW
What had been a step in the right direction turned and did ten steps backwards. I hadn't seen Sebastian since the Undercroft and I left it at that. I wasn't going to force him to speak with me and I was almost relieved when he left for home during winter break.
Ominis and I sat in the Library, the school was uncharacteristically quiet. I didn't want to trouble him with what happened that day. How everything went so right then toppled over creating a mess but he had been prying and I finally gave in; spilling it all out.
"I'm sorry, Ada. I didn't realize he held that much resentment for Goblins. I thought it was just towards Ranroks followers." He was leaning back in his chair, sipping his cooled tea.
"I didn't either... He acted so hatefully." I slouched, my heart hurt.
"Can... you tell me more about why you're an Orphan?" My eyes slid up from my book to look at him. He wasn't looking directly at me but in my direction, "I know you don't enjoy talking about it but I'd like to know more about you." He murmured. I set the quill down and closed off my inkwell.
"I suppose, When I was younger in the Orphanage I had remembered this world. Though the Matron thought my imagination was too active. I didn't know until I turned fifteen that this world was in fact real and not some fantasy I had escaped into." I saw him set his tea down, listening intently.
"The Ministry workers found me after my magic manifested, I was a rare case. I didn't have any other name but what the Matron had named me. I was just Ada, no one wanted me so I never got adopted out." I stared at my hands.
"My parents abandoned me one day in London I believe when I was eight or nine." My voice was becoming strained, "The workers said after they looked into my lineage and how I ended up here. That my Parents had left me in London to be with muggles because they thought I had been born a Squib. They didn't want me because of it." I saw his hand reach out over the table feeling for my hand. I took it, squeezing his hand.
"No child should have to go through that Ada." Ominis murmured, "You deserved better."
"I know..."
"Do they know that you're here?" He asked quietly.
"No I asked the workers to not inform them, they didn't want me as a Squib they wouldn't get me with magic either."
"We have the same ideal then, our parents don't deserve us."
"They don't, especially not yours." I murmured.
"Yes, unfortunately I have to return to them this summer. With Annes condition worsening and Sebastian being an ass, I don't think I could share the same house with him and Solomon this summer." He rested his head on his hand, elbow resting on the table.
"Do you usually spend the summer with them?"
"I usually would, yes, I wasn't able to last summer because... Of what happened to her." His voice went quiet.
"Understandable... Anne speaks fondly of you both and how'd you tease first years about trying to spot mermaids." Ominis face flushed a bit.
"Yes, we would do that and she'd find garden snakes in the green houses and hide them in other girls beds." He smiled a bit, "It was wonderful hearing the screams and Anne sitting with me laughing to her heart's content."
I couldn't help but smile, it made me wish I could have been with them, "Do you love her Ominis?" I asked softly, the question caught him by surprise.
"I... love her the same as Sebastian. Where he is my brother, she is my sister. We are family not by blood but by bond." His words warmed me, they three were close and they had allowed me into their group.
"Ada... I got a letter from Solomon inviting the both of us to their home for Christmas Eve. Do you think perhaps you can get permission from Professor Fig to leave for a day or two?"
"I don't know Ominis... He was very adamant that I stay in the castle."
"Please, it won't be any more dangerous than you running off on those raids you do." His hands squeezed mine. I couldn't help but think it over. It really wouldn't and it couldn't hurt either.
"Alright, I'll ask him but I'm unsure how I'll react around Sebastian."
"Thank you, just stay with me Ada. If he causes any issues I can pull you from it." His voice was soft, face softening and for once I noticed his beauty marks looked like constellations.
"You know, I didn't notice but your beauty marks remind me of constellations." I murmured, his face turned to a shade of pink.
"Well... You really have a way with words don't you?" He chuckled, "I never heard someone call spots on a man's face beauty marks."
"Oh, so it's only when girls have them?"
"Traditionally yes, do you have any Ada?" He questioned me.
"I do yes, two of them under my lower lip. I wouldn't call them beauty marks, they're more like moles."
"Moles are beauty marks, Ada." He insisted and reached up to touch my face, I grew used to his touching. He said it's how he can see me and I had no reason to believe differently. His fingers brushed over my lower lip, then to my chin. His face focused on memorizing the curve then once he felt over the marks under my lower lip he stopped, feeling over the small bumps.
"One's larger than the other." He murmured, I held still for him. I enjoyed his touch, it wasn't invasive. There weren't expectations from him, only curiosity and softness.
"Yes they are." My eyes opened, feeling his hands pull away from my face.
"I hadn't caught them when I first mapped out your face."
"Well to be fair you only did a quick feel over." He had only really touched to make out the shape of my face and nose.
"It's hard to touch someone like that with so many eyes on us. They have perceived expectations of a man touching a womans' face. They can't conceive any other reason I would touch you."
"Well that would be their issue for being so narrow minded." I quipped, closing my book now, "I'm going to see Professor Fig about going with you to visit the Sallows'. I'll sit with you at dinner?" I asked and he nodded.
"Yes, I'll see you at dinner." His hands stayed resting on the table, I picked my bag up and walked off.
—
I had gained permission from Professor Fig and he had given me a gift. Professor Fig had become a Father figure I'd never had and as he told me in his office. That Miriam, his late wife, would have wanted a daughter like me. He wanted a daughter like me. He told me that he was happy that the Ministry requested he teach and escort me to Hogwarts, that he wouldn't change it any other way.
His gift? He offered a home for me during the summer, so I wouldn't have to return to London. Where we could continue my training, he thought of me as a daughter. I had cried and I had hugged him, it was agreed. I would return home with him during the Summer.
It was a day before Christmas Eve, Solomon was coming to Hogwarts with a cart to pick us up. He wanted neither Ominis or I traveling on our own; Poachers, Ashwinders and Loyalists had grown rampant the closer you went to Feldcroft. I spoke with Ominis softly, my bag in hand. I had gifts for everyone, I had to bring gifts. My first Christmas with friends, my bonded family. I wanted it to be memorable.
I had only hoped Sebastian would be in a better mood then when we last spoke.
—
The ride was silent, Ominis along the way had fallen asleep against me and Solomon wasn't much for conversation. When we pulled up into Feldcroft I could see Anne outside enjoying the view of the blankets of snow covering the ground. Her pale cheeks splotched with red from the cold.
I lightly nudged Ominis, "Ominis... We're here." He woke up, a bit startled, then calmed down.
He huffed, rubbing his hands ,"Does it have to be so damn cold." He murmured.
"Language boy." Solomon scowled at him, voice gruff.
"Right, I'm sorry Mr. Sallow." Ominis said, Solomon stopped the cart and hopped off the driver's seat and went around back to help Ominis and I out. Anne was quick to hug us both and we found ourselves hugging her.
"I'm so happy you both could come." She sounded elated, "Solomon set up a tent behind the cottage for you both to stay in. Let me go and show you to it!" She took my hand leading me away and I grabbed the front of Ominis shirt to drag him along with me.
"A tent? Wouldn't that be a bit small and cold?" I questioned.
"Solomon owns a charmed tent." Ominis explained, "it's much bigger on the inside." He was just letting me guide him by his shirt, glancing back I could see he was a bit exasperated if not used to being dragged around now. I saw the tent set up around the back, it was off white and looked rather small but i witnessed Anne and Ominis go in with no troubles. When I slipped in after them, I was amazed to see it was bigger inside. In Fact it was about the same size as the cottage. It felt warm with a furnace placed in the center, beds on either side of the tent walls and a table settled in the center with two chairs. I was gawking a bit, I had never seen something so extraordinary before. I could barely wrap my mind about how this magic actually worked.
Though one thing that I did notice was that Sebastian wasn't here.
"Anne, where's Sebastian?" I asked her, walking to a bed to set my bag down, Solomon walked in setting Ominis chest on the other bed.
"When I left to get you both he said he was going for a walk." Solomon stated gruffly, "Is he still not back?" Anne shook her head.
"No he's still out, he said he'd be back before sundown."
"That boy..." Solomon murmured, then turned to leave us.
"Dinner will be ready in an hour. I'll bring it out here so you can all eat together, I'll be retiring early." We three said our variations of a 'Yes Sir' and when he left I couldn't help but google, grabbing hold of Anne's hand, "How have you been, since i last saw you?"
"As good as I'll-" She flinched and grunted, sucking in a sharp breath. She was trying to hold in the scream.
"Anne? Anne are you alright?" Ominis asked, worry plagued his voice.
"Y-Yes, Ominis I'm fine." She whimpered, I helped her to sit back on my bed. She was holding in the scream, eyes on Ominis. His eyes were wide, face a bit pale.
Ominis had trauma, the curse may not be involved with this but a scream may cause him to panic like he had in the Scriptorium. Even when she was in pain she didn't wish to cause any stress onto him.
I sat down with her, holding her hand, hand rubbing circles along her back like I had seen Solomon do. "It's okay Anne..." I murmured, I saw Ominis grip onto the back of a chair, his knuckles growing white. I could see now why Ominis wasn't allowed to return here. Being around Anne could trigger awful memories and experiences for him.
The pain eventually passed, Anne leaned on me a bit, still holding my hand on for dear life, "Thank you Ada."
POV SEBASTIAN SALLOW
The sun was setting, the cold air bit at my nose and cheeks. I had my coak wrapped tightly around me and a scarf covered my neck. I had found the Catacombs, finally and just in time for Ada to join me.
I had regretted how quickly I lost my temper with her, she was only trying to be helpful but my pride wouldn't let me apologize. I hoped she'd go with me tomorrow night, I didn't want to face this alone. I walked back into the Hamlet watching smoke billow from fireplaces and I could see Solomon from the window, readying himself for bed. Good, I wouldn't want him over hearing this. I walked behind the house to the tent, hearing the three of them talking inside. I pulled the flap open and walked in. Snow dusted my shoulders and hair and I glanced up hearing the conversation die down.
My eyes landed on Ada, sweet, darling Ada was dressed in a crisp white long sleeve blouse, a dark ribbon tied around the collar and her skirt rested right down at her ankles; black with pinstripes. I saw her eyes go wide when she saw me and I gave her a weak smile.
"You're back!" Anne stated excitedly, getting to her feet. I smiled at me sister,
"Ah, ah, ah!" I had her sit back down and pull out a winter flower I had found on my way here.
"Oh it's so pretty!"
"Only the best for my dearest Sister." I stated then looked to Ada, "Ada if you wouldn't mind I'd like to speak with you alone. Outside the tent." I made a motion to the exit and I saw the apprehension on her face and the annoyance on Ominis's.
"Please..." I asked again, this time quieter.
"Alright." She murmured and got to her feet, pulling her cloak over her shoulders now following me out.
POV ADA MARROW
Once we had stepped outside he pulled me a bit ways away from the tent. Facing me, his face seemed serious.
"I found the Catacomb... I know I can't expect you to come with me but I would like you to, I need you to come with me." Of course, no apology, just another request. I looked down at my feet, then felt his hand lift my chin up to look at him.
"Please, for me." He murmured, I felt my cheeks heat up, my eyes closed and I started to nod.
"Alright, when will we leave?" I heard him sigh, relieved by my answer.
"Tomorrow night, once everyones' asleep I'll meet you outside the tent." My eyes snapped open, feeling his thumb brush over my lips.
"I need to go back inside." I murmured, "I'll go with you Sebastian for Anne but what you said to me before hurt me." My hand reached, grabbing his wrist, lightly pulling his hand from my chin. He was silent and I couldn't dare look in his eyes, I turned from him and walked back to the tent. Seeing Anne leaving I asked her,
"Are you going to bed now?"
"Yes, the evening was so fun with the both of you but I'm awfully exhausted." She smiled at me and I saw Sebastian walk beside me to take his sisters hand,
"Let's get you to bed Anne." She nodded, wishing me goodnight and let Sebastian lead her off to the front of the house.
POV OMINIS GAUNT
Anne left me alone in the tent but Ada returned soon after she left, my hands held onto the mug of hot chocolate. When I heard her sit down, I relaxed a bit more while sipping my drink.
"Did he apologize?" I asked.
"No he didn't." She murmured, my hands gripped at my mug just a bit tighter. Every chance he's given he ruins it.
"What did he want from you then?" The annoyance was clear in my voice, perhaps even twisted onto my face. She was silent, for only a second but from that silence I knew the words that came from her mouth were a lie. I had noticed it not too long ago, she paused before she'd lie.
"He asked not to bring up what happened to Anne, he didn't tell her and didn't want to cause any issues." Smooth and thick was her voice, I didn't question why she lied; only nodded.
"Sounds like him... Too prideful to admit he made a mistake. Too embarrassed to tell his sister, who would more than likely side with you." I would need to keep an eye on them both, to make sure they didn't do something they'd regret.
POV ADA MARROW
The next night rolled around quickly, I had waited until I could hear Ominis soft breathing, having sat at the table with a lamp reading over my conjuration tome. I slipped on my snow boots and quietly snuck out. Slipping my cloak over my shoulders and wrapping an emerald green scarf around my neck.
I glanced forward, in the darkness I was startled to see a figure leaning against the back wall of the house, but my eyes adjusted to see it was just Sebastian waiting for me. He approached, hand going to the scarf.
"Why green?" He asked, voice soft.
"You said I'd look nice in it." My response was quick, "Show me the way, I'd like to get this done with." His hand moved resting on my lower back, leading us off.
"It's going to be a bit of a walk." He murmured, "Hopefully we'll be back before light breaks the horizon." He lifted his wand once we had left town, "Lumos." His wand lit up around us.
"You didn't tell Ominis did you?" He asked, eyes glancing down at me as we walked.
"No Sebastian I didn't."
"Good, he'd be livid if he knew." I kept us in silence now walking up a hill, "Ada..."
"Just tell me more about the Artifact Sebastian." I murmured, he was silent for only a moment, then broke it.
"A student of Salazar Slytherin stumbled across it in the catacombs, when he was doing research on Sarcophagi. If his paper was important enough to stick into the spell book then the Artifact is worth looking into." I couldn't help but nod along as he spoke. "The only reason he didn't take it was because it was expressly forbidden to remove items from the catacomb. Hopefully inside will just be musty and dusty graves." He murmured, then stopped us at the mouth of the catacomb.
"Here it is, the Feldcroft Catacombs. Can't wait to see the inside of it, just so I can cross reference what I've read on it."
I couldn't help but exhale my sigh through my nose, "Let's go." Walking in first through the entrance, when I was smacked by the foul stench of rot and decay.
"Don't mind the smell." He strained out, "It's just the scent of Success." He coughed a bit and I used my scarf to cover my nose and mouth. Walking us deeper into the cave, we wandered and explored. Until we were halted by Spiders, it was always those damn hairy arachnids. Even with the quick dispatching of them, Sebastian couldn't help but break the silence.
"Hopefully the rest of the search will be insect free."
"Spiders aren't insects." I stated dryly, slipping over a fallen pillar.
"Don't start." He sounded disappointed, we stopped briefly in an area covered in grass and snow, with a few plants here and there.
"Mmm some catacombs went under construction in order to expand them, but were unsuccessful because of cave-ins." I glanced at him, giving him a look, I did not want to know there was a possibility of a cave in.
"We'll be fine though." He was quick, looking away from me in favor of examining the walls and crypts. We walked a bit further into the main room, Sebastian stepping down the staircase while I looked over its entirety.
"Now this is the type of tomb I want to be buried in."
"One for grandeur?" I questioned, he was softening me a bit with his constant talking. I had missed him.
"Grandeur and then some, look even an altar with bones atop it." He stopped in front of the altar examining the surface and the pile of bones. I walked down after him, slowly approaching the altar when I spotted an aged piece of parchment settled down on the floor.
POV SEBASTIAN SALLOW
My eyes flitted away from the skeleton to land on her, seeing her lean over to pick up a bit of paper. He eyes scanned over the page, brows furrowing at what she read.
"There's a barricade, stopping us from going further and it says that to unlock it we can use those... Skeletons."
"We'll need to look around for more then." I straightened out, eyes dancing around the room, then settled back onto her. Her face held worry.
"Sebastian, the note mentions the Imperious Curse."
My eyes widened, "It does? Interesting... Let... Let me think about it, Ada." I turned away from her looking towards what I assumed was the barricade.
"I'll start looking around." She murmured, wandering off to gather them up.
My thoughts wandered back to when it was used on her and how we were almost out numbered, overwhelmed by the sheer amount of those awful men. How I had recklessly casted such a destructive spell in a panic to keep them from snatching her up. Bones floated and settled onto a post, my eyes landed back on her. How her brow and face twisted in disgust at the notion of touching these skeletons.
"You figured it out?" I asked, facing her more.
"Yes, it's rather unseasonable but easy to figure out." She murmured, starting to walk off again. Gathering up more bone piles, she was doing her best not to look at me and I was doing my best to try and get in her good graces.
Okay nice the way had opened. We continued onward, I tried speaking with her in small conversation that didn't work but I stopped hearing something.
"Did you hear that?"
"Sebastian, we're in a tomb. I'd assume eerie sounds come with the territory." She had a hint of annoyance that reminded me so much of Ominis. Even as we continued I went ahead in silence, occasionally landing a bone themed quip her way, it made her roll her eyes in exasperation but I could tell she still found it amusing.
We wandered deeper in, thoughts of the aforementioned unforgivable plaguing my mind. We may need it, she will definitely need it. I reached out and grabbed her hand, it caused her head to snap back looking at me wide eyed.
"The students' notes mentioned the Imperious Curse. I think we may need it, I... I can teach you if you want."
Her brows furrowed, "Sebastian how do you know this curse?"
"I taught myself it awhile ago, it's not really something I can brag about to Ominis but it's handy when you're greatly outnumbered and considering your situation I think you should know how to use it." I kept a firm hold on her hand looking her in the eyes.
I saw her face soften, her eyes examining mine. Perhaps trying to read me or maybe she just didn't have the heart to look away.
"Yes... Please teach me."
I sighed relieved she had agreed and Ominis wasn't here to stop us.
POV OMINIS GAUNT
I felt every nerve in my body set a flame, my hand gripped my wand tight listening as I heard Sebastian suggest she learn an unforgivable and feeling defeated when she agreed to learn it from him. All of my warnings had gone unheard by either of them, Sebastian I had suspected wouldn't listen to me but Ada... I heard their steps echo and I began to follow again.
I stayed silent and out of sight while they fought off waves of spiders and the feeling of betrayal when I heard her voice cast it on one of them. She had used an unforgivable and Sebastian so proudly encouraged her.
Once they found the relic I stepped out waiting for them to notice me. I paced at the exit, trying to reign in my emotions, trying to not be angry with this betrayal but I couldn't. I couldn't help the taste of bitterness on my tongue, he failed her so many times yet she still stays by him.
Perhaps I'm a fool.
POV ADA MARROW
"The note says to leave the relic here Sebastian. I worry about what sacrifice is required to use this... this thing." I motion to the relic in his hands.
"I assure you Ada, we were meant to find it for Anne's sake. I'm taking it with me, we just need to keep it a secret. Especially from my uncle." His eyes left the relic to fall on me. His stare softened, his lips flattened in a line.
"Ada, I..."
"I haven't forgotten about what you said about my friend and the insult you threw at me, Sebastian." I turned away from him, he can keep the relic. All I wanted was to go home and try and get some sleep. My eyes wandered up from the floor to the exit.
I slowed to a stop, my heart dropping. "Is... Is that Ominis?" I murmured.
Sebastian hurried closer looking at the exit, he was pacing back and forth, wand gripped tight in his hand. Sebastian walked ahead of me, I followed behind, I saw his face. Twisted with fury and lined with frustration.
"Ominis, the noises we were hearing, it was you?" Sebastian sounded surprised.
"You both left me no choice, I could tell Ada was lying to me and I waited to see what you were both up to. I was hoping perhaps you both made up but I was sorely wrong. Sebastian put the relic back." It was a demand not a suggestion.
"I refuse to do that Ominis, you know me better than that." Sebastian said coolly, staring him down. Ominis barked out a harsh laughed,
"No I suppose I don't, not anymore." Ominis lifted his wand towards Sebastian, "Either you put it back or I will!"
Sebastian started for his wand, "This is too important Ominis, I won't back down."
I got between the two, keeping Sebastian's hand down, my hand raised to Ominis.
"STOP IT BOTH OF YOU. Sebastian, step back, go cool off." Sebastian looked at me , gaze hardened and Ominis arm lowered.
"I won't change my mind."
"Just, just let me talk to him, Sebastian." Sebastian took in a deep breath and turned walking off back towards the table. Then back I was with Ominis, his brows pressed together.
"How much did you hear?" I murmured to him.
"Enough to know you casted Imperio, enough to know that the relic is too dangerous and enough to know that you encouraged him to leave it." He stepped closer, hands reaching out to hold my arms, "You need to help me to convince him to put it back."
"Ominis, he doesn't listen to me." I stated quietly, my eyes looked down to his chest, my hands clenched. "He's not going to let it go."
"I've already made up my mind, the relic doesn't leave this catacomb." He was serious.
"I refuse to let you ruin your friendship with him." I hissed out, "if you won't move then perhaps I'll have to force you to move." I couldn't take back the threat, even if I wanted to.
"Are you suggesting to use Imperio on me?!" He sounded shocked, hurt. His grip tightened on my arms and his eyes those clouded eyes. I couldn't go through with it.
"No... I can't, not to you." I murmured, "I could never do that to you."
His face softened some, "Ada... That relic is bad news."
"I know but I feel we should trust him to know what he's doing, he's been doing his research on this artifact."
"It's hard to trust someone who continuously goes behind my back." His arms crossed.
"Can we just make a compromise Ominis? We let him leave with the relic if he agrees no more after this." I saw him bristle up, mouth lowered in a deep frown.
"Last I checked we had agreed to that in the Scriptorium, yet he we are!" His hands waved out over the surrounding room, "I'm being taken for a fool, manipulated over and over again!"
"Ominis... I never meant to manipulate you-"
"It's not you doing the manipulation, it's him!"
"Please, can we save your friendship with him? You won't be blamed for what happens, I'll take full responsibility!" I was begging now, snatching up his hands in mine. He was taken aback, I saw his jaw open, trembling with a shaky exhale,
"I hope I don't regret this Ada."
"I hope I don't either." I murmured, "Come back with us, you don't need to speak."
His eyes closed, hands gripping mine tight.
"Alright let's go."
POV SEBASTIAN SALLOW
I was waiting, watching Ada argue and try to convince him. They were exactly quiet at first but soon the arguing turned to soft murmurs. Ada holding Ominis's hands with hers. His face looked vulnerable now, it was hard not to see that my Best Friend also fancied her and I was thankful that he had resisted acting on his feelings.
"Sebastian, we're going!" Ada called out, still holding Ominis's hand.
"I'm not leaving it." I stared at Ominis, his face stayed glued to the floor, not even acknowledging that I was there
"We made a compromise." She started leading us both out.
"What sort of Compromise?"
"If this relic doesn't work, we're done dealing with dark magics Sebastian."
"I-..." She shot me a look,
"We are done with Dark Magic after this, Sebastian, no more. Now we're going to walk back to Feldcroft in silence and pretend we only went out for a walk." It wasn't a choice and it wasn't just directed towards me. We all had to forget about this for the remainder of our time in Feldcroft.
Even walking in silence,my mind refused to shut off, I never agreed to their conditions and it seems whatever Ominis had said brought her to his side.
I couldn't rely on Ada anymore now, it seems I was truly alone in this.
Ada stopped, her eyes staring out over the horizon, "Sebastian..."
"What?"
"Feldcroft is burning." She looked horrified, hand covering her mouth. I felt my stomach drop, eyes locking on the distance of those dark billowing clouds of smoke.
My legs moved on their own, "ANNE!"
POV ADA MARROW
"Ada go on without me! I'll catch up." Ominis urged me and I felt myself sprinting down the hill side to Feldcroft. Sebastian farther ahead of me. I saw people rush past him, women screaming and men scooping their children up as they abandoned the hamlet.
No one else had stayed to fight, Sebastian had already dived head first into fighting Goblins. Trying to make it to his sister and Uncle, whether they were pinned and unable to escape the horde of goblins or they both chose to stay and fight was uncertain but I wouldn't let the Sallows' fight alone.
The fight was a mess of spells and unsurmountable magic, the goblins were endless but it came to almost a grinding stop. I hadn't notice Anne had broken off from our group, the cry of pain split through the air, my eyes widened locking on to see a Goblin charge froward her sword raised
"Imperio!"
My breath caught, the goblin stopped mid swing and stood there and without a word from us it killed itself. Fighting between Solomon and Sebastian ensued.
"You can't keep me away from my own sister!"
"You're not to come near Feldcroft or Anne ever again!"
"You would have rather I let her die?!"
"Our family does not use dark magic Sebastian, you've crossed a line! Ada stay away from him, get over here." Solomon was trying to wrangle me away from Sebastian. He expected me to side with him?
"Sebastian saved his sister, he did nothing wrong!" Solomons face twisted,
"Then you're just as guilty as he is. If I hear either of you two continue to partake in dark magic I will go straight to the headmaster and report you both." He helped Anne up and led her off. Anne looked back to us eyes wide
"I refuse to let him keep me from my own twin."
