If there was one way to stay cool on a nice summer day in the mountains, it would be inside of a cozy cottage, on a comfy chair, reading a good book with a plate of cookies. This is the ideal summer vacation for Katie Melody Conrad...unfortunately, that's not the case.

"ROAR!!!" A loud growl caused Melody to leap out of her seat, and let out a ear shattering shriek. When she landed back on the ground, she saw her two cousins Jason and Michelle Conrad fighting over something...again. "It's not funny Jason!" Michelle argued, over Jason's laughter "It is a little bit!" He cackled, rolling on his back.

Katie however did NOT find this funny at all. "Jason T. Conrad! You could have given me a heart attack!" She panted. This made Jason stop laughing as he saw that she was glaring very hard at him. "Sorry Katie." He muttered. Grandmum walked in to see the small confrontation. "Now Pumpkins, what's the matter?" She asked

"Jason scared Katie, and made her leap into the air." Michelle said "He nearly gave me a heart attack!" Katie added. Jason rolled his eyes "It's not my fault you're a big scaredy cat." He shot back at her. Katie shook her fist at him when Grandmum placed a hand on her shoulder. "Now Now dear, don't forget what the good book says about fear: Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." Grandmum said.

Katie scratched her head "Um...What does that mean?" She asked in confusion "It means that we don't have to be afraid of things when we have God on our side." Grandmum explained. "Well, I'll be upstairs if anyone needs me." Katie said "Maybe you'll see the Penguins ship!" Jason yelled as she ascended. Katie's eyebrows raised. "Again with the Penguins? I know that you might have thought that up Jason, and then Michelle...So I'm pretty sure that you were daydreaming." She said bluntly.

The twins looked at each other. They KNEW that they had been blasted off into space with a crew of penguins, but Katie didn't exactly believe what they had told her. Back upstairs, Katie near some boxes, before opening her book, and resuming where she was reading. However, the constant creaking and wind rustling outside was making her paranoid. "I-It's OK...It's just this old attic creaking...Not anything coming to jump out at me..." she shivered.

Suddenly, one of the books from the table dropped to the floor, making a loud 'THUMP!' That caused Katie to jump into a box. This also made a nearby toy space ship that was stuffed with 4 Penguin figures topple to the floor and bounce around. Katie cringed as she heard the plastic meeting the ground, but was confused when she began to hear the Revving of an engine. climbing out of the box, she now saw that the ship was no longer bounding in the ground...but it was now actually flying on its own!

"H-Huh?! Whats Going on?!" she gaped, before the ship flew directly in front of her, causing her to fall back into the box with a shriek. The ship followed after her fallen form as the lid opened up "Katie Melody Conrad?" a voice asked from inside the ship. Katie blinked in surprised when she saw a penguin was talking directly to her. "Uh...Jason? Michelle?" she called out, but the ship flew in front of her

"Ah Ah Ah! You're the one that we need!" he exclaimed. Katie shook her head in disbelief. This COULDN'T be happening? Could it? She was snapped out of her thought when the penguin that spoke to her adressed a much scrawnier penguin "Dr Fidgel. Galeezel her." he said. The other penguin nodded "Yes. Right away captain." he said, before pulling out an odd looking contraption that resembled a ray gun.

Katie, dreading what may happen if she stuck around, immediately began to pull herself out of the box, and ran towards the attic door, but didn't get far when a large green claw grabbed onto her from the back and picked. Flying into a panic, Katie struggled, but let out a yell as she was pulled backwards and the world around her grew larger.

Once the claw let go, Katie found herself no longer in the attic...but rather, shrunken down to fit inside of the now working ship, surrounded by its crew of the now living penguins. Feeling overwhelmed, Katie did the best thing a rational person in her shoes would do.

She Fainted and fell unconscious.
