It was a normal day in New York, the streets were bustling with life, the birds were chirping, the factories ruining the air, and the Saytrs were searching for half-bloods, yep, completely normal.
That was until a yellow and orange comet? Crashed into the nearby woods, a few miles away from the city leaving a crater nearly the size of a small pond.
"Oof…" an unknown male voice grunted "First, I gain immortality from Kurama making me a fox demon to help me fight Kaguya, I fought her for a century, then bitch dumped me through a portal to this… Wherever the hell I am!" the voice ranted.
His shouting attracted a nearby Dryad, who was curious about the blonde, she approached very slowly making sure she wouldn't be seen, that was until the blonde's head snapped up and looked at her.
"Yo!" he called out and began jogging towards her "Can you tell me where I am?"
The Dryad retreated a bit, causing the blonde stranger to stop.
"What's wrong? I'm not gonna harm you, I just need your help finding out where I am." he said, before deciding to sit down and let this strange woman approach him.
After what felt like hours to the restless immortal blonde but was only ten minutes, the Dryad seemed to realize he didn't mean harm and approached him.
"You can see me?" she asked, confused about how a mortal could see her through the mist.
"Huh? Of course, I can see you, I'm not blind." The blonde snorted.
"Not what I meant, How can you, a mortal, see me through the mist?" she asked.
The blonde snorted again "Well, first off, I'm immortal, second off, what the hell is the mist?"
The Dryadblinked, then blinked again "You're immortal?"
"Yeah, I'm a fox demon, this is my human form,." he said, still feeling weird about the fact that his true form was now that of a large 9 tailed fox, courtesy of Kurama who literally sacrificed his life for him, man, he missed that fox and the arguments they had.
"A f-fox demon!" the Dryad scurried back a bit "D-Don't eat me please!" she begged.
Naruto tilted his head to the side and narrowed his eyes like a fox "Why would I eat you? I may be a demon, but I'm not a monster."
The Dryad seemed to visibly calm down a bit, but she was still shaking "Oh. o-okay."
"Anyway, can you answer my earlier question, where am I?" the blonde asked.
"Oh, sorry, you're in New York." she stated.
"New York?" the blonde asked as if he'd never heard of the place before.
"Yes, New York, it's the place where Mount Olympus resides." the Dryad said with a nod of her head.
"Mount Olympus? What is that?" the blonde then looked around "I don't see a mountain around here, just those strange structures." he pointed towards the city.
The Dryad was confused about the blonde's lack of knowledge "Mount Olympus is the place where the gods live." she explained.
"Gods?" the blonde then groaned "They're not insane and power-hungry right? I just barely survived a fight with an insane goddess and I'm pretty sure my home is now destroyed."
"You fought a god!" She shouted
The blonde quirked an eyebrow "Yeah, demon, remember" he pointed to himself "But, she wasn't one of the gods that live on this Mount Olympus you mentioned, after all, I'm not from this world."
Her eyes went wide hearing this "Not from this world? How'd you get here?" she asked, intrigued.
"Ah, that's a long story, but the short of it is that the goddess I was fighting threw me through a portal that sent me to this world. Now, I'm stuck here and I don't think I can return." he said, sadness in his voice about being stuck here.
"That's terrible!" She exclaimed, "Why'd the goddess do that to you?" she asked.
"Hell if I know" the blonde shrugged "She was insane, remember?"
She nodded since he did say that "So, I never got your name, mines Rosea."
"Naruto Namikaze." the blonde said, outstretching his hand.
Rosea took it "Na-ru-to" she said the word slowly, making sure she pronounced it right "What a unique name!" she smiled.
"It means Maelstrom, and I think your name is unique as well." he smiled at her.
She blushed and was about to respond before a silver arrow whizzed past her and was caught by the blonde much to her amazement since she doubted most demigods could pull that off.
"Step away from the Dryad, mortal!" A female voice spoke from the nearby tree line.
The blonde for his part didn't look fazed at all, he just glanced at the arrow he was holding and then glanced in the direction it came from "Why? Rosea and I were only talking!"
He then did something completely unexpected, he flipped the arrow so its nock was resting against is index finger with his thumb in a flicking position, and in a motion that was too fast for Rosea to see he shot the arrow back into the treeline.
A yelp of surprise was the response and a girl who looked like she was 16 fell from a nearby tree, landing on her back.
"Oh, my bad! Meant to missed by a few feet!" the blonde called out as if it was the simplest thing in the world "I'm used to Kunai, not… whatever that was!"
The girl got up, grumbled, marched over to the blonde, and grabbed him by the collar of his jacket "I should kill you right now." she hissed.
"You probably should." he remarked causing the girl to look puzzled "However, you can't." he replied with a smile.
"Oh? Why can't I?" she asked, with a tick mark on her forehead.
"Because I'm immortal." he casually said, this caused the girl to pause and look him up and down.
"You lie!" she said with conviction.
The blonde make a mock hurt face "I'd never." he then turned serious "Why don't you test it." he challenged.
"Hah! If you're immortal, then why did you catch my arrow?" she mocked.
"Oh, that's simple" he waved his hand dismissively "I like this jacket."
The girl blinked multiple times "Really? That's why?"
He nodded...
"Bullshit!" she yelled, pushing the blonde down.
"Nope, it's not… now, are you going to kill me or not, I'd like to return to my conversation with Rosea."
Rosea had been quietly watching the interaction between the two, she knew who the girl was and she herself was skeptical of the blonde's immortality.
"Fine!" she roared "But it's your funeral."
"First, can you tell me your name? I'm Naruto." he asked.
She paused in her rage and scrutinized him for a second "Zoe, Zoe Nightshade."
"Naruto, Naruto Namikaze." he grinned "Okay, Zoe, when I don't die how about you and I get some ice cream with Rosea?"
Zoe just scoffed, wanting to kill him more for asking her out on a three-way date, Rosea for her part just blushed "Hmpf, you won't be alive to do so." she said confidently.
"Is that a bet?" he smirked.
"Sure." she shrugged "Now, prepare to die, foolish mortal." she then stabbed the blonde in the heart, causing the blonde to grunt and cough up some blood, she removed the blade from his chest "See, told you-"
She was cut off when the wound healed itself, she looked up at him and saw his shit-eating grin "So, about that date?" he asked.
She grumbled and said, "I need to discuss that with Lady Artemis."
"Oi, you lost fair and square." the blonde barked.
"Shut up, I was stupid to even make that bet in the first place." she then whispered to herself, but Naruto's trained ears heard her "Lady Artemis is gonna kill me."
"Why would I kill you?" an unknown voice, at least to Naruto, asked.
Zoe stiffened when another girl who looked to be younger than her emerged from the trees, her silver eyes on Zoe before they looked at Naruto "So, who's the mortal."
"Immortal!" Naruto groaned loudly "I'm fucking immortal, why does everyone keep saying I'm not." he yelled.
Artemis paused and stared at him "Immortal? But you're not a god."
"No, no I'm not." he remarked after calming down.
"Then what are you?" Artemis asked.
"I don't know if I should tell you, the only one I currently trust with that secret is Rosea." the Dryad in question promptly blushed.
Artemis then turned to her "What is he?" she asked.
Rosea looked hesitant, she knew she couldn't defy a goddess, but Naruto had been nothing but kind to her. She looked at him with a pleading look, hoping he'd get the hidden message, luckily for her, he did.
Naruto sighed "Fine, if you're insistent enough to ask my new friend to betray my trust I'll tell you so she doesn't have to."
Artemis was a little shocked at this, she didn't expect him to stand up for the Dryad like that, maybe he wasn't like the other males.
The blonde combed his hand through his hair "I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that you're a goddess." he said.
"Of course, I am a goddess, did you seriously not recognize that?" she asked.
"No, I did, after all, I just got done fighting one, it's just I'm not used to this world so I wanted to make sure."
This confused Artemis further "What are you?" she asked in a more demanding tone.
Naruto raised his hands in a placating manor "Relax, I'll tell you, but you need to promise me something."
"What?" she asked impatiently.
"You have to promise not to attack me or tell anyone else." he said.
She narrowed her eyes "Fine, I promise." she said.
"That doesn't sound reassuring." he chuckled.
"Fine! I swear on the River Styx" thunder was heard overhead.
"Odd, it looks sunny." Naruto remarked, before continuing when he saw Artemis's face "Alright, alright, I'm a fox demon, specifically, the 9-tails fox demon."
"You don't look like a fox." Zoe remarked.
"Of course I don't, I'm in my human form." he said like it was obvious.
"Then show me your true form." Artemis demanded.
"Only if our previous promise still stands." he said
"Fine, it does." she said annoyed.
"Ok." with that he began to grow, changing shape until a massive 9-tailed fox stood over the three "Is this enough for you?" he asked
Artemis looked up at him wide-eyed, she didn't believe him, but you know what they say "Seeing is believing."
"Holy shit!" Zoe called out.
"So soft!" Rosea said, as she rubbed the fur on one of his tails.
Naruto just sweat dropped at her and said "I can return to my human form now, right?"
Rosea pouted "But I like your tails."
"I can keep them out in my human form if you like, hell, maybe then people I meet will stop assuming I'm human." he used to be human, but after fighting an Insane goddess for a century with almost no breaks, he slowly felt less human.
He returned to his human form, keeping his tails and ears much to Rosea's delight.
Artemis cleared her throat "Well, since I swore to the Rive Styx I won't harm you. However, I'm curious what your intentions are."
He shrugged "The worst I'd do is a prank, well maybe fight someone stupid enough to challenge me, and maybe fall in love, whatever feels right, but I'm not a bad guy I swear."
"Swear on the River Styx?" she asked
"Sure, I swear on the River Styx." he said, and it thundered again.
"Good, now you can't break your word, or you'd experience a lot of pain." she grinned.
"Hmpf, then it's a good thing I never break my word." he said calmly before turning towards Zoe and Rosea "Now, about that date I was promised."
That piqued Artemis's interest "Date?" she looked at Zoe "What's he talking about?"
Zoe sighed "When he told me he was immortal I didn't believe him, he then challenged me to kill him and declared that Me, Him, and Rosea would go get ice cream when he survived, he then made it a bet when I got cocky… and as you can see, I lost."
Artemis nodded "Well, a bet is a bet, no matter how foolish it was. I give you permission this once."
Zoe's eyes widened "But, he is a male." she said, getting an indignant "Hey" from Naruto.
"Maybe so, But he's also a demon which puts him at a higher standing than normal males." Artemis shrugged then walked away.
Zoe couldn't believe it, Artemis never gave her huntresses permission to go on a date, what made this blonde different?
Naruto said, looking at Rosea who was still clinging to one of his tails "Shall we go get that ice cream, I haven't had dessert in a century." he walked off towards "New York" as Rosea called it, with her following him, with Zoe joining them after a moment of hesitation.
A/N I'm uploading chapter 1 now, but I'm not sure when I'll upload another chapter, since I'm going to focus on "The Namikaze Prodigies", however, I'll try to work on this one as well when I can. Unless no one likes it, then I'll probably just let it die like the others, lol.
