Chapter 5
Note: This chapter was insiprised by my good friend heilman4316 who did something in like this it the Zoey story so i asked if i could do my spin and i was given persmission to do so.
Dino Lab...
Later that night Finn Mitchell opened her eyes to the brightly lit lab. She turned her head to the right to see Hayley at the computer.
"Hayley?" She spoke causing Hayley to turn.
"Finn, its good to see you awake, how are you feeling?"
Finn took the water from her. "I feel better. where is everyone?"
"Tommy went to get you a change of clothes, Conner, Kira and Ethan went home. Dana and your Dad are asleep upstairs. Carter is over on the couch". Hayley pointed to the sleeping adult. "Hunter headed back to Blue Bay to let everyone know that you're okay".
Finn turned her head to see her big brother laying asleep with his arms across his stomach. "Hayley what's wrong with him?"
"Finn since your feeling better i can tell you that he should have woken up but, Finn he's in a coma and i don't know why".
Finn looked at her hands. "Hayley i know how to help him"
"How?" They looked to see Carter sitting up while Dana and her Dad came down the stairs.
"Dad i don't know if Ryan or Dana told you but when i spent the summer in Blue Bay, Gia was killed and i have all of her powers. Dad i can purify the evil in his gem and mind like how she brought me back to life".
"Finn, i'm sorry they never told me but its okay. Finn are you sure you are strong enough right now?"
"Yeah whatever Elsa gave me is wearing off. Please let me bring him home like he did for me". She begged him. Bill nodded. Carter helped her walk over to sit next to Ryan. "Hang in there i am coming".
They stood back as Finn took Ryan's hand into her own. "Okay big brother let me in", They gasped as her eyes turned bright white, her hand sending a white light into her brother's head.
Ryan's Mind...
Finn woke up in what seemed to be a cave. It was dark and cold. "Looks like skull cavern". Finn began to walk deeper. She jumped as candles lit up on their own. "Okay Ryan where are you?"
As Finn walked she could hear evil laughter. "it can't be". She whispered as she saw the golden figure. "Diabolico?". She hid behind a crate. "No, Ryan". She gasped as she saw him chained by his wrists to a wall. "So this is why the gem was feeding off of him."
Finn picked up a rock and threw it to distract the gold demon.
"Go find out what that was" He ordered his battlings. Finn got up and quckly ran over to her brother. "Ryan" She tapped his face. "Ryan come on wake up!"
He groaned as she reached up to free the chains on his wrists. She gudied him to the floor. "Ryan, come on look at me".
"F-Finn, is that really you?"
"Yeah it is". She cupped his sweaty face."Ryan its okay, i got you".
He opened his eyes to see his baby sister's face. "I'm sorry".
"Don't worry about that right now, listen you need to come with me, you need to let me bring you home".
"I can't". He whispered. "I don't want to".
Finn shook her head she could feel his pain, his guilt. She could hear Diabolico coming back. "Listen to me, i do not blame you for what you did to me just like i forgave you when you took me from the base.". She shook him. "I need you to fight this nightmare". She send a light into his chest. "You feel that, you feel how much i love you".
Finn yelled as she was pulled away from him. "Ryan fight! don't let him win!". She yelled as she kicked a battling away. Ryan could see a white door appear behind her.
Finn grabbed a battling flipping it over her shoulder. "I wonder". She stretched her hand out causing wind to push the battlings back. "Just what i needed, bring it!"
"Wind shears!" She called sending blades of wind knocking three more down. "Ryan get to the white door!".
Ryan slowly got up. He felt Diabolico kick him in the stomach. "You!"
"Me" The demon mocked. "You know you want to stay here, you know when you go back she will hate you".
"Ryan don't listen to him!". Finn yelled as she crashed into the wall. Ryan was forced to walk backwards until he backed into a wall. The gold demon lifted him off the groundm his feet off the floor.
Ryan locked eyes with his younger sister. "Finn". He saw a flash of her when they fought to save Gia's family. He saw a flash of her the day they defeated the demons for good and became a family.
Finn engulfed him in a white light. Ryan could feel he evil hold breaking. "No!" He yelled as he shoved his fist throught Diabolico's chest. The demon screamed as he let Ryan go.
"Ryan go!".
"What about you!?" He yelled as the demon exploded and the cavern began to cave in.
"I'll be right behind you go!". She grabbed his arm and kicked him through the white door. She was about to run as Diabolico's spirit grabbed her but not in a menacing way. "Huh?"
"Young Finnley, it is i who helped you defeat Bansheera, just know he needs you now more than ever. He may be free of the evil but his heart is broken while his mind is confused".
"Thank you, i will do whatever i can to help him, now go find your peace". The demon nodded and vanished. Finn turned and ran through the door.
Dino Lab..
Finn gasped as she woke up from her trance. She fell back into Carter's arms. "Easy i got ya".They watched as the dark coating of the white dino gem disappeared revealing a fresh gem.
"Finn i think it worked, his DNA is going back to normal and the gem is still active, you did it". Hayley cheered. Finn smiled looking up at her brother. "His brain waves are going back to normal".
Finn looked down as her hand felt a squeeze. "Ryan?".
Bill walked over. "Son can you hear me?"
"He'll be okay, Finn come on you need some rest". Hayley advised her. Finn nodded and lad down.
Dana watched as her sister went back to sleep. "Hayley have you heard from Tommy he should be back by now".
"No Dana i haven't but i will get Hunter to streak over there to see where he is". Hayley answered her.
"Man what hit me?" They turned to see Ryan trying to sit up.
"Ryan!?" Dana cried running over to him. Dana wrapped her two arms around him. "You okay?"
"I think so".
"Take it easy man". Carter told him patting his shoulder.
"Finn, please tell me she's okay, please tell me i didn't..."He trailed. He could remember everything he did to them.
"Ryan hey calm down she's fine". Dana assured pointing to the sleeping form on the bed.
"She hates me doesn't she?"
"No, she doesn't. Ryan you know her better than that.". Bill tried.
"No don't, i can't be here right now." Ryan looked down at the gem on his wrist. He took it off. "I don't want this, i will not hurt anyone else". He said quietly placing it in Dana's hand. "I'm sorry for what i did".
"Ryan don't go please, the evil in the gem is gone". Dana pleaded. "Where are you going to go?"
"Home in Mariner Bay, Finn can still stay in the house here". He told his sister. Ryan walked over to his youngest sibling and kissed her cheek. "I'm so sorry". He stood up and left the lab without looking back.
Hunter arrived at Finn's house to see Tommy's jeep still parked. He walked inside. "Tommy?".Hunter walked down the hall and felt his show hit something. He reached down to see the silver can. "On No". He noticed the box with the morphers still in the room. Hunter turned and rushed back to the lab.
"Hayley!". He called as he entered.
"Hunter? what's wrong?"
"Guys they have Tommy". He rushed out holding the silver can that held the gas. He handed her the box of morphers.
"Hunter?" He looked to see Finn looking at him.
"Hey, you doing okay?". He asked as she walked over to him.
"Finn, They have Tommy".
"I know, i heard, i also heard Ryan".
"Finn" She looked at Dama.
"Dana its okay, i know he needs to be alone and i understand". Dana admired the strength and love Finn had for her family. Her heart was the biggest she had ever seen. "I know he will come back".
"Hayley can you track him".
"Carter i'm trying but where ever he is the signal is being blocked."
Inknown Location...
Tommy Oliver groaned as he began to wake up. He shook his head to clear the fog in his head. He tried to move but his body felt like lead. He felt pressure on his chest and as he looked down he saw a drone wrapping rope around him. He was sat up leaning against a beam his hands tied behind him. Another drone was finishing his ankles.
"My Lord the prisoner awakes" He heard Elsa speak. Tommy weakly lifted his head.
"How are you feeling ?"
"I've been better, what did you do to me?"
"Oh we gave you something to help you sleep so we could move you to here, this warehouse has been abandoned for years. The gas also dampens your powers", Elsa answered.
"This is where your end looms near, i have these stones placed all around you so once the sun rises and we draw the rangers here you will all be destroyed in a ball of fire".
Tommy pulled at his wrists as Elsa got behind him. "Don't worry Tommy you will have a front row seat" She taunted as she wrapped a cloth around his mouth gagging him.
"Dr.O are you there?" Kira sounded through his gem.
"Tommy?" Finn tried. He could hear them as he grunted louder. "Tommy you there?"
"Oh we can't have that can we". Elsa complained. "Don't worry they will be lead here when we are ready, sit tight". She cackled as she stood up.
Dino Lab...
"Guys he's not answering". Finn spoke as the dino rangers were there. "But he may not be able to".
"Finn, Kira i know you guys went through it but i have to ask, when you were put to sleep what does it do to you?" Bill asked the girls.
"Mine was different, Elsa gave me something first to dampen my ninja powers but the gas knocks you out for hours, everytime i woke up i could hardly move". Finn explained. Kira nodded in agreement.
"If he got what we did he could still be knocked out but his dino powers are useless". Kira explained.
"Did Ryan or Mesogog ever say what his plans were?" Dana asked the girls.
"Not to me, he kept me in the basement the whole time".
"Finn?"
"No, the only thing i can remember was when i woke up in the closet i could hear something about rocks but thats it because he caught me awake". Finn told them looking at Carter as she answered her sister.
"The only thing i can do for now is keep a look at his vitals, they seem stable for now, Finn go home and get cleaned up then come back here". Hayley suggested. "Hunter since your so skilled i want you to ninja streak around to see if you find anything". He nodded and left.
"I'll go with her". Carter offered.
"Look we'll find them, Finn if you remember anything else let me know".
"Okay Hayley, i won't be long". Carter led her to his truck. They drove to the house in silence. Finn looked as she noticed Ryan's truck was gone.
"Finn its going to be okay, he just needs time".
"I know but how much time. Carter the look on his face when i was in his mind. I am willing to be patient but i still want him back". Carter watched as the girl he cared about began to crack. "He was there for me but now he won't let me do the same".
Carter never ever saw her cry. He pulled her into his strong arms."Hey, i got you".
"Some birthday huh?"
"I promise you when this calms down we will have a birthday for you". He told her wiping her tears away. "Come on lets get you cleaned up". He guided her into the house.
Finn walked down the hall when she entered her room she noticed a pink balloon with a small box. Finn noticed an enevelope on her pillow.
Finn,
Finn fours years ago you became my heart and soul. I promised myself when we reunited i would be your protector, Finn i broke that promise when i hurt you and Dana.
I can't bear looking at the two of you without remembering what did, the fear i felt from you guys knowing that i couldn't stop it. Right now i need to stay away, i am going to stay in Mariner Bay for awhile. Pushing you away shatters what i have left of my heart but i know your going to be safe in Reefside. I left Carter a note promising me that he would stay with you at the house.
Be the ranger and ninja i know you can be. I will see you soon.
I love you little sister. Happy Birthday.
Finn wiped her eyes. "You didn't fail me Ryan". She took the box into her hands. Her shaking hands pulled out a silver chain. In the middle in held her initals with her birthstone in the middle. She put it over her neck. She felt a bit of relief knowing where he was.
Once Finn got showered she walked into the kitchen. "I guess were roomies for awhile huh?"
"Aslong as you don't snore". Finn told him with a giggle.
"There's the girl i know"
"You're the one that snores, you used to wake up the whole base". He joked pushing her out the door.
Hunter streaked around having no luck. He stood up in a tree looking around. "Wait what's that?"
Hunter sneaked around the cliff looking below him. He could see a warehouse he didn't know was so close to the entrance to Reefside. Hunter jumped down and peeked into a window. He frowned as he saw Tommy tied up in the corner.
Tommy jumped as he saw a small spark across the room. He saw Hunter put a finger to his lips. Tommy shook his head telling him to stay away.
Hunter looked to see all the black rocks around him. Hunter jumped down and rushed back to the lab.
Hunter entered with a small smile. "I know where he is".
"That's great where?"
"He's just north of here in an abandoned warehouse. He is heavily guarded. Hayley he is surrounded by those black rocks Finn mentioned.
Finn and Carter sat down. "Finn you have remember what you heard about them, we can't go on blind".
"Carter I told you i can't remember".
"You have to try". Bill spoke up. "Look i know its hard"
Finn looked at her father sadly. "I'll try". Finn sat down in the center of the lab and closed her eyes. They stepped away as the wind picked up inside.
Finn's Memory...
Finn was waking up after being sedated. She struggled weakly against the ropes binding her hands and legs. She turned to see Dana. Finn tried to scoot towards her.
FLASH
She could hear voices in the distance but also in front of her.
Flash
"My Lord these rocks are just perfect for the destruction of the rangers, once the sun rises they will explode".
Finn felt her ankle hit the door as it opened to reveal Ryan towering over her.
The last thing she remembered was she made a thump and arms holding her down. The mask being placed over her gagged mouth.
Present
Finn jumped awake. "I know what they are" She panted. "They are going to explode when the sun rises tomorrow morning".
Dana and Carter shared a glance remembering the feathers they faced. "You did good Finn"
"Thanks Conner".
"Okay we need a plan we only have a short time left". Ethan stated.
"Look between me and Finn we can manage to clear alot of the rocks away with our speed and get them safely away". Hunter told them standing by her. "Finn you up for it?"
"It would be a pleaure" as they revealed their ninja outfits to their friends. "I can summon a tornado, Kira when i do use a ptera scream and they will break apart safely inside it".
"You can do that?"
"Conner i can control wind off course i can".
"Look i know this is dangerous but please all of you come home safe" Bill pleaded hugging his daughter.
"Finn before you go i have something for you"
"Yeah Hayley?"
"Since your a ranger to i made you this". Hayley pulled the blanket off revealing a pink ATV. It was the same shape as Tommy's only pink and gold.
"Wow thanks Hayley"
"Now go bring him home". They left on their bikes.
Carter and Dana watched them leaving on the cameras sending a silent prayer for their safety.
Warehouse...
The rangers arrived to find the doors guarded by drones. "Finn there is a window on the roof that you can squeeze through." Hunter told her pointing to it.
"You can't fly can you?"
"Actually Ethan i sort of can, i can create enough wind to lift me off the ground". Finn jumped up in the tree and slowly floated to the roof.
She looked down to see Tommy secured. She sent a small breeze across his face to get his attention.
Tommy looked up, he shook his head. Tommy rolled his eyes as she waved him off. He tried pulling his ropes again.
"Excuse me but i think i am lost". A voice sounded from the door. Tommy grinned under his gag at Conner. Tommy felt a hand cover his mouth as he turned his head to see Finn.
"Shh". Finn shushed him. "I am going to free you". Tommy yelled through the cloth loudly as Finn was grabbed and threw into a wall. "Now is that a way to treat a lady". Hunter snarled appearing in front of her.
Tommy pulled hard as his ropes watching his rangers being attacked. "Dr.O?" He turned to see Kira. Kira pulled his gag down. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah i think so, come on hurry". Kira frantically untied his hands. Once they were free he untied his ankles. Tommy jumped up and joined his rangers.
"I will not have you ruin this". Zeltrax hissed. Hunter and Finn nodded as they split up, They streaked around dodging the blasts Elsa was sending at them.
"Guys hurry the sun!" Ethan yelled as the rocks began to glow. He slashed two drones with his sabre.
"Finn! Hunter!" Kira yelled as Zeltrax blocked their path to the outside. Finn backflipped as he went to slash her. "Hunter go get the rocks out of here!". She yelled as she kicked Elsa in the arm.
"Tommy, guys go!" She yelled.
"Finn come on!" Kira begged as she downed her two drones blocking her.
"Do you trust me?"
"We all do!" Tommy yelled. "Come on!".
Finn blew wind at them forcing them outide. "Well little girl its you and me". Elsa watched as the four remaning rocks around her were about to go off.
"If i am going down so are you for what you did to me".
Finn and Elsa clashed weapons. Finn foundself being pinned on the ground as she tried to push Elsa off. "Hey Elsa you got a split end".
"What?"
"Gotcha!" Finn grinned kicking her out the back door. Finn knew she was trapped. Hunter had gotten all the other rocks out. "Power of Wind! Tornado rush!" She formed a tornado around her in hopes it would be enough to protect her.
Outside the rangers watched in horror as the warehouse began to explode. "Finn! NOOO!" Hunter cried as Conner held him back.
"No!" Ethan cried as he held Kira.
"Oh knock it off i am not deaf". They heard turned to see a limping Finn.
"Thank god!" Hunter cried taking her into his arms.
They all rallied around her. "Can we go home now?".
"Yeah we can go home". Hunter told her getting on her bike with her. He wrapped his arms around her waist. Tommy got on with Conner.
Later that day...
Finn walked into her home and went to shower. She watched as Carter walked down the hall to the guest room.
"Hey what do you want to do?" He asked popping his head in her doorway.
"I just want to relax since Tommy s giving us a break to relax".
Carter sat on bed in front of her. "Hey talk to me".
"I have nothing to say".
"I know you better than that".
Finn sighed She placed her pillow on his lap and laid her head down. Carter's arm wrapped around her shoulders. "Why is my life falling apart, what did i do to deserve this?" She spoked as she rolled over to face away from him. "First Gia, now Ryan, maybe i should just move back home and leave this behind me, leave Reefside and never come back".
"Finn that won't solve anything and you know it, look i see how much your team cares for you you need to give it a chance".
"Carter you know i am just a stranger to them, they were just being rangers and doing the right thing". She growled out. "Just go and leave me alone". Carter knew it wasn't the time to argue with her so he slowly got off the bed, he closed the door as he left the room. He placed his hand on the door as she began to sob.
Carter walked into his room and laid down. He looked up when he heard her door open.
"I'll be back later i am going to the lagoon". He heard her say. "I will streak there".
Carter pulled out his phone he knew the two people thay could help. "Hey man, can you meet me in Mariner Bay, Finn needs help she's not doing so good". Carter hung up the phone and drove to her favorite place.
Finn smiled as the breeze and spray from the lagoon hit her face. The sun beaming down made her feel content. "Hey boy". She greeted Arrow as he popped his head up. "Sorry i haven't come lately but life sucks"
The whale clicked at her. "Yeah i know you can't talk back" She rested her arms on the whale's head. "i guess sometimes i wish i did die in that car accident, maybe it would have prevented all of this, Gia would still be alive. Ryan wouldn't hate or be scared of us"
Crescent popped her head up. "I just want him to know i forgive him why is it so hard for him to believe me".
"Because he's lost like i was". She turned to see Tommy walked towards her Kira behind him. He sat down to her right as Kira went to her left.
Arrow dove under splashing his tail at them as he went. "Go right ahead grumpy". Finn yelled.
"Finn you need to let this go". Tommy spoke to her. "Look i was in his shoes you know that, but what you don't know is that my green ranger powers were temporary, the thing was that everytime i morphed i was afraid i would attack my friends but it took my friends to show me the evil was actually gone. Finn Ryan is scared that's whats going to happen to him if he joins the fight".
"What do i do?"
"Finn i can't tell you what to do, but trust me Ryan knows your still there for him. Your gems are one and he will see it. Its going to take time for him to realize that he is free".
"Finn". Kira spoke. "I know you don't feel like you belong here but when we all got our gems we were strangers to each other it just takes one thing to change it and bring us together".
"What was it for you?"
"When Mesogog took me and i landed on the roof of Tommy's jeep and the guys told me they were looking for me, thats when i knew i was apart of the team and i knew they would have my back". Kira answered. "Finn you are a part of us"
"Listen don't close your heart off. Gia wouldn't want you to.". Tommy told her rubbing her back. "Rangers go through trials like this but it makes us stronger don't let this one tear your soul apart. Look he will be the one to come to you"
"Wow Dr.O got a soft side, who knew?" Kira laughed. Finn let out a small smile and glanced at each other.
"You should have met him in his younger days he was alot more fun".
"Alright you two". He yelped when the two of them pushed him in the water. "Seriously Finn was that necessary?" He grumbled as he surfaced.
"Maybe" She shrugged.
"You do know there are two whales in here".
"I'm aware i have known them for years and maybe you need glasses because there are three below you, Kira do you know how to swim?"
"Uh, go in there, they will eat us".
"Trust me they won't".
"Okay". Kira did a backflip off the dock and jumped in.
Finn was about to jump in when two arms wrapped around her shoulders. "Thank you Carter". She kissed his cheek as she took the volleyball from him.
"Canon Ball!" Finn yelled as she dove. Laughter filled the air.
Meanwhile back a distance Ryan Mitchell stood listening to every word. He let out a small smile as he watched his baby sister begin to move on. He turned and began to walk away wishing he could feel the same way.
