Germania, 1939
Schrödingerr Mental Psychiatric ward
Loud alarms rang throughout the mental ward as rooms after rooms exploded, windows shattered with glass showering to the ground far below; Shouts of 'grab her', 'impossible' and 'call for heavy back up' could be heard throughout the building. As a magical explosion made its way towards one side of the building, several bodies of heavily armed men could be seen ejected out from an exploded out wall of the left wing. It was soon seen from the outside that from the top floor, whatever was causing all the destruction had caused the structural integrity of the left side to begin collapsing; A bright yellow burst of light exploded out from the collapsing left wing, followed by it traveling directly down with the collapsing left part of the area it was in.
Alarms continued to ring within the mental ward, followed by incoming Germanian police sirens approaching the building; As police vehicles were driven up to the front parking lot of the psychiatric ward, the shouts of screaming security guards along with furious shouts from a young lady could be heard as the commotion was traveling its way towards the entrance of the large Mental Ward faculty. As the police vehicles came to a stop and the occupants exited out from the cars, the police began to rush in and aid the staff in stopping a breakout of one of its patients.
As the commotion finally reached the entrance of the Ward, the police had their pistols out at the ready and prepared to fire upon a dangerous individual; The doors were soon blasted off their hinges with two of the officers unable to get out in time and get plowed over by the wooden doorways with wooden shrapnel flying around from the broken doors. Once the smoke from the entrance finally settled down, the officers were finally able to catch a full glimpse of the escapee. Dressed in a simple garb of white slacks and t-shirt, all of which were caked in blood, a young woman was glaring out at the police with a maniacal look in her eyes with ragged breathing; In the grasp of on the young woman's hand was one of the security guards with his neck within her grip, while in her other hand was the security guard's shotgun.
Taking this all in, the cop in charge took the lead by issuing an order, "Put the man and gun down ma'am!" He yelled while his fellow deputies clicked their safeties off, "Just calm down, we can talk this out!" he continued to yell. Meanwhile from the young lady's perspective, all she saw were more enemies that were telling her bold faced lies.
A little bit earlier
Tanya was panicking as she ran through the hallways of the supposed psychiatric ward while pulling EEG wires out from her scalp and hair.
"Tanya. Dear, there was no such thing as the great war, it's all in your head. Now just let me give you your daily shot."
"Lies! My memories are too vivid to be my imagination!" Tanya yelled with fury as she approached the first turn in the hallway after pulling off the last EEG wire from her hair, years of military awareness alerted her to duck an attempt from one of the orderlies from grabbing her. She slid under the man's legs and jumped back up to leap and spin kick a magic infused foot into the man's head. Tanya expected the man to put his guard up, at the very least, but what she got was her foot kicking the man's head clean off and down the hallway. As Tanya landed back down on her feet, the headless neck spurted out blood followed by the body collapsing to the ground.
"You're mind's making up things, Tanya, your first life as a salary man never existed."
"Did Being X speak to you? Did he put you all up to this?"
"Tanya, Who's Being X? You've never brought that name up in all these years till now."
Tanya darted off with her chested heaving in panic, none of this was making sense. It couldn't have all been a lie, her memories were clear as day. She was once a man, a Salary man with a job in Human Resources until a disgruntled employee she had fired pushed her into an oncoming train. As she sprinted her way toward the staircase in her view, security guards were seen jogging up, armed and ready.
"Tanya, if you did in fact have a first life as a Salary Man in this other world, then can you tell me your name back then?"
"...It's…it's…don't give me that look! I'm not crazy!"
She had to bide her time after she regained her consciousness in an unfamiliar territory, she had to refamiliarize herself with her mage spells and calculations and hope she could use them to escape. The last thing she wanted to do was end up as a lobotomized patient, and now here she was at her wits end when the doctor was just about to do just that that prompted her early escape. She wasn't fully sure if all her mental and physical facilities were up to snuff, but she'd be damned if she ended up as a mindless patient in a psych ward in the middle of nowhere.
As the security guards finally reached the floor that she was on, Tanya noted that they were armed more heavily than what she'd expect the normal security guards of a mental institution to be armed with. "Hold it right there patient 11!" the leading security guard yelled as the men aimed their automatic weapons at Tanya, who continued to run towards them. "Open fire!" the man yelled after receiving no response.
Meanwhile from Tanya's perspective, she'd be damned if she stopped here and now. With a wave of her hand, a shield of magic was projected from her; bullets pinged off Tanya's shield as she sprinted towards the security guards.
"What the heck is that!" One of the security guards yelled as they fired upon the designated deadly escapee, the men futility continued to fire upon Tanya only for their bullets to continue pinging off her magic shield. "It's some devil magic!" another shouted in surprise. Before anything else could be said from the security team, Tanya leapt up from her sprinting and used her powers to send her flying with a burst of her magic. The young woman soared with a loud whistle of air, before she reoriented herself into a kick aimed at the man leading the team. With a loud splatter, cry of shock and gurgle of blood exiting out headless torsos, Tanya had practically jump kicked her way through three heads and turned them in fine mists of red.
As Tanya landed on the other side of the group, she let out ragged breaths while the men let out cries of fear and began to scramble for their lives. As the remaining team of the security men ran for their lives, Tanya's eyes glanced down at the headless bodies to see a shotgun on one of their backs. "Don't mind if I do." she snarked as she bent down and grabbed the firearm and the ammo of the man. With no more time to lose, Tanya made for the stairway and began checking her rounds to count how many shots she'd have.
Afterwards
It had been hours after patient 011 had escaped from the psychiatric ward, wounded and dead littered the grounds and parking lot with dying flaming debris littering the place. Ambulances were parked those in need being tended to, fire trucks seen around the place with firemen trying their hardest to put out the flames that burned across the building. It was then that a group of black tinted vehicles were seen pulling in and parking, the present investigators were puzzled at who else would arrive on the scene.
As the occupants of said vehicle began to exit out of the vehicles, inside one of them two of them remained inside for the moment to momentarily talk. "Elya, Headquarters will need to be notified asap, project Valkyrie is to be pushed up ahead of schedule." Commanded the woman sitting in the back seat with a troubled look at the scene outside their vehicle.
Elya, who sat at the driver's seat, looked up at the rear-view mirror to glance at her superior. "And what about Tanya, Visha?" she asked.
Visha glanced up at the rear-view mirror to look back at Elya, "I'll deal with her myself." she spoke with a grim expression.
