Chapter 6

Note: So is the next portion of this story i decided i wanted to do my take on Magnatox from Lost Galaxy so it will bring Ryan back to his family and team!

"Oh my goodness how long does it take you to fix a darn net!" Finn Mitchell groaned in annoyance as her and Kira were at the Lagoon after school doing homework. Carter and Tommy were both in the water trying to fix the volleyball net. It had been a week since everything happened so they were doing okay. Ryan would stop by the house in Reefside every now and then but he would never speak but Finn was patient.

"Excuse me but we are trying, call Crescent off for wanting to play if you want it fixed". Tommy huffed as the whale kept nudging him. The girls laughed. "Its not funny, Carter how do you live with her?"

"I don't know".

"I heard that!" Finn yelled.

"You were meant to" He responded as he swam up them. "Can you hand me that wrench?".. Finn reached for it but she pulled back when he put his hand out. "Finn"

"Carter"

"Give me the wrench"

"Manners please?"

"Finn please give me the wrench". He huffed out. "Thank you. Women"

"Ugh! Men!" She stated as he swam away. "Kira be happy you are an only child, then again i don't know how you managed with Conner and Ethan before i came along".

"Thank for sticking around"

"Your welcome".

"Finn what was it like growing up with rangers?" Kira decided to ask.

"It was alright, i mean even though my Dad wanted to keep me in the aquabase he let me have my freedom. i got my morpher when i was 13 and only used it when i had to". She explained to Kira ad Arrow popped his head up. "You know Kira you remind me of our yellow ranger Kelsey, she knew how to put the guys in their place".

"Really?"

"Really, the guys on our team never had a chance with us girls".

"We still don't" Tommy spoke as he swam over. "Finn its fixed". He told her pulling himself out of the water. Carter got out as well.

"Look me and Carter are going to get some lunch do you want to come?" Carter aked the girls.

"No we are heading back to Reefside". They told them as they grabbed their packs. "Keys". She held her hand out to Carter. "Carter i am not walking two blocks back to my house here then driving to Reefside, you can come back with Tommy now give me your keys to your truck".

Tommy and Kira laughed silently at her as she got her way and got his keys. "Thank you"

"Finn you get that truck full of dirt'"He started.

"Bye Carter! Bye Tommy" They yelled as they ran away from the guys. Tommy patted his shoulder.

"Carter you have your hands full".

"I do but wouldn't change a thing". They began waking to Tommy's jeep. Once they got their lunch they sat at the fountain.

"Carter how is she doing?" Tommy asked.

"I don't know really, she rarely speaks about what happened but i do know she is heaking from it, as to Ryan he stops by the house that they have but he avoids her. I swear if it wasn't for her friendship with Kira and the guys it might be different. What about your end?"

"She's fine, her fights are going good these last few days, she is doing great in school". Tommy answered with a smile.

Finn and Kira were on their way to Reefside when they were blasted off the road. They coughed at they got out. "Man Carter is going to kill me".

When the smoke cleared they noticed a huge monster with a magnet like weapon.

"Who are you?" Kira yelled.

"I am Magnatox i will drain this city dry and then blow it two bits with its energy, starting with you rangers".

"We'll see about that"

"Ready Kira?" Finn spoke."Dino Thunder! Power Up HA!" The two girls morphed and charged. Kira ducked as he swung his huge magnet. Finn managed to land a punch as his weapon struck her stomach.

"See how you like this rangers". He turned his dial sending a red laser at the girls.

"Kira look out!" Finn ran and jumped in front of her. She yelled as negative energy hit her body. "Ahhh!" She yelled

"Finn! no! Kira cried.

Finn found her suit fading as the beam lifted her into the air sending her crashing into a nearby building as her gem sparked. Finn crashed into a wooden crate rolling to the ground. She cried out as she looked down to see a huge chuck of wood sitcking out of her calf, blood soaking her pants. Finn crawled behind a dumpster leaving a blood trail.

Kira watched in horror as she watched her friend crashing into a building. "Finn!" Kira recieved a kick to the belly. She groaned as the magnet grabbed her hips draining her energy.

"Excellent" Magnatox cheered as he sent her flying in the opposit direction. She landed demorphing.

Nearby Ryan Mitchell was walking to his car and as he arrived he managed to see Kira flying through the air. She managed to crawl away to hide behind a wall. Kira watched as her gem sparked.

Ryan slowly walked over to her. She yelped as he knelt down. "Hey are you okay?"

"Ryan?"

"Hey its okay, Kira what happened?"

"The monster, he drained our energy".

"Are you okay?"

Kira Nodded. "Oh God! Finn? did you see her?"

"Wait what? Finn was with you?" Ryan said in a panic. "Kira where is she?"

"I don't know we got seperated". Ryan helped her up.

"Come on" He urged.

Carter and Tommy were driving back. "Tommy wait look!" Carter yelled. "That's my truck". They jumped out noticing Carter's truck empty. "Kira! Finn!" Carter yelled.

"Carter!" He turned to see Ryan helping Kira walk over.

"Kira thank god! where's Finn?" Carter asked.

"We got attacked, he calls himself Magnatox, he stole our energy, we got seperated." Kira managed.

"Well well well more rangers!" They turned to see the monster in front of them. Tommy and Carter stood in front of them. Tommy smiled as Ethan and Conner joined them as they fired lasers from their bikes knocking him back.

"Sorry we're late Dr.O"

"Conner you guys are just in time, Look you three go find Finn we got this" Tommy told Kira, Ryan and Carter.

They left to search. Tommy morphed. Tommy charged managing to slash the monster in the chest but the magnet got him in the stomach.

Magnatox sent a hard punch to Tommy and Conner's chest sending them on to the ground. They both groaned in pain as the magnet sutf to their chests. "I can't handle it!" Tommy yelled as his suit faded. His morpher sparked. Tommy was sent flying into a wall.

"No!" Ethan yelled as Conner collapsed. Ethan jumped in the air shooting from his baster but the handle of the magnet delfected the blasts right back into Ethan sending him into the ground.

"Ethan!" Tommy yelled as Tommy supported Conner. They watched as Ethan's energy left his body. They hobbled over to him and helped him up. "Ethan are you alright?"

" I think so but my morpher is fried.". He croaked out. They watched as the monster cackled and walked away.

"Come on we need to find the others". Conner told them as they limped to find their friends.

Ryan, Carter and Kira began to search for Finn. "Finn!" Carter called."Finn where are you!?" Carter was about to yell but was pulled behind a wall by Ryan as the monster walked by.

Finn whimpered as the pain in her leg felt like it was on fire, She could hear her name being called but she was afraid to answer as the monster was nearby.

"She was thrown that way" Kira said quietly as she pointed to her left.

"Okay Kira stay here where its out of sight, me and Carter will check it out okay" Kira nodded.

The guys snuck out of sight. They crouched as they turned the corner. "Wait look is that?". Carter pointed as he paled. "Ryan its blood" They followed the trail until it stopped.

Finn heard footsteps but bit her lip. She let out a whimper. She yelped as a figure appeared in front of her. "Oh god! Finn!" Ryan cried as he and Carter knelt down. "Oh god!" He cried notcing her right leg.

"It hurts!" She cried as tears poured down her face.

"I know, i know, look i need you to stay with me okay, Finn i am going to tie my sweater around your leg okay". Carter told her. Ryan sat behind her. "Finn i'm sorry but this is going to hurt okay?"

Finn let Ryan cover her mouth as she turned her head into his chest and gripped his jacket. She yelled into his hand and chest as Carter tied his sweater around her bleeding leg. "Its okay, just breathe Finn i know it hurts, Ryan she needs a doctor".

Ryan peeked around the dumpster as he did he watched as the monster stopped looking and left through an invisportal. They all jumped as a can tipped over revealing the dino rangers.

"Finn!" Conner cried as they limped to them.

"Guys she needs a hospital". Carter told them in a panic. "Look i can take her you guys get back to Reefside and see what Magnatox did to you guys alright?"

They nodded as Carter picked her up. "Ryan you coming?"

He shook his head. "I can't"

"Ryan she's hurt, she needs you!" Kira cried. He backed away.

"I don't have time for this!" Carter growled as he left the group with the injured girl in his arms.

"You know avoiding her is not the answer, I know how your feeling since i was in you're shoes once they are the only people who can help you through this". Tommy hissed as he led his rangers to head home.

At the hospital Kira decided to stay with Carter to check on her. "For Finn Mitchell?"

"Yeah" Carter answered standing up.

"Nice to see you Carter, listen Finn got muscle damage in her leg, we managed to get the wood out and we stitched the gash up. Look she needs time to heal you can take her home but she will need someone with her until she gets on her feet."

"Thanks " Carter said to him shaking his hand. Carter and Kira walked into her room.

"Finn, hey". Kira greeted.

"He really doesn't love me anymore does he?". Carter's heart broke at her voice. "Why does he hate me?"

"Oh Finn". Carter picked her up. "Shh its okay lets go home". Carter was furious at Ryan.

Reefside...

Carter dropped Kira off at home. Carter walked in to Finn's house and laid her on her bed. "Easy" He soothed as he laid her down. Carter watched as she let her painkillers kick in as she went to sleep. He told Tommy to meet him to fill him in on the situation.

"Hey man thanks for coming".

"No problem. It seems Magnatox tooks our morphing energy, we can't morph at all" Tommy told him. "He plans on using it to destroy the city".

"What can we do?"

"I don't know, Hayley is working on it, Carter we have one gem left. Ryan's our only hope".

Carter sat down on the edge of Finn's bed. "He won't come near us, he don't even stay here so i doubt he will help you".

"How is she doing?" Tommy asked.

"She got alot of muscle damage, its going to be a little while for her to get on her feet".

"Look i will let you guys get some rest, i will let you know what we find". Tommy told him as he left.

A few minutes later Carter was sitting on the couch when the door opened. He watched as Ryan walked up to the landing. "What are you doing here?"

"Looking after your sister like you should be". Carter snarled. "You know what you need to stop being a coward, that girl in there is broken, she actually asked me today why you hate her, she asked how come you don't love her anymore. When are you going to realize that your free, she freed you! and this is how you pay her back?!" Carter grabbed the collar of his shirt. "Ryan the evil is gone! Get it into that brain of yours that she doesn't blame you for what you did! and now their powers are gone!"

"Carter I-"

Carter let him go. "Ryan please make this right, if you don't you may lose her". With that Carter went to his room to get some sleep.

Ryan sighed and walked into his sister's room. He watched as she slept. He went and sat down on her bed. "How do i fix this?" He spoke as he reached a shaky hand towards her shoulder. "Maybe Carter is right i am a coward".

Ryan kissed her head and went to bed.

The next morning Carter woke up to the doorbell. He noticed Ryan's truck was gone but he was greeted with a warm smile from Hayley.

"Hey Hayley thanks for coming"

"No problem i am here to help her get cleaned up".

Hayley walked in and headed for Finn's room. After an hour Hayley helped her get showered and she was currently sitting on the couch. "Thank's Hayley".

"No problem Finn, if you want Tommy can come get you so you can join everyone at the lab".

"I'd like that, see you" Hayley gave her a smile and left.

"Hey Finn, i have to go run an errand will you be okay here?" Carter asked sitting next to her.

"Yeah sure". Carter patted her shoulder as he left. Finn covered up and began to watch a movie.

"Finn you there?" She looked down to hear Kira through her gem.

"Yeah i'm here what's up?"

"Just wanted to check in, at least comms work"

"Yeah, i am coming to see you guys tonight".

"Thank the heavens". Kira giggled out. "See you tonight".

Finn smiled as she laid back. She began to lay her head down as the door opened. "Carter?".

"No its just me". Ryan answered as he walked up the steps.

"Oh". Finn spoke as she watched her brother go down the hallway without looking at her. She groaned as the pain in her leg flared up.

"Are you okay?"

She looked up to see her brother standing in the hallway. "Yeah its okay, the painkillers are wearing off thats all. "

Ryan frowned as tears swarmed her eyes. His heart broke as he watched her try to get comfortable. Finn watched in silence as he walked over. He lifted her legs as he sat down resting them on his lap. He gently rubbed her bandaged leg.

Finn watched as his hand was shaking. She slowly reached for her surprise he didn't pull away as she laid hers on top of his. "Hey, its okay".

"No its not". He croaked out. "You're broken because of me".

Finn reached her hands and grabbed his face."Ryan i don't hate you please believe that, if i did would i have fought so hard for you. I'm sad cause your pusihing me away. i'm sad because you're afraid of something you shouldn't be scared off."

"I'm just so sorry".

"Hey stop, its over i know it wasn't you". Finn wrapped her arms around his neck. She cried tears of joy when he hugged her so tght. Carter silently walked in and smiled at the two of them. "Look how about we stay here tonight since we are at a dead end and relax?"

"Sounds good".

"Hey Tommy you there?" She asked into her gem.

"Yeah Finn what's wrong?"

"Nothing listen is it okay if i stay home tonight and come tomorrow?"

"Off course"

"Thanks".

Ryan finally started to let his sadness and fear go . He stretched his legs out and let her lie against his side. Finn smiled as he wtapped his two arms around her shoulders.

"She's going to be okay you know". Ryan looked up from his sleeping sister.

"I know, thanks Carter for the words i needed to hear"

"Anytime".

Ryan tightened his grip not knowing was next for him or the rangers as they fight to get their powers back.
