Dear Diary,
Hi! Boy, do I have a story for today! While this lesson wasn't about me, it still was a great one. It definitely taught all of us about telling the truth regardless of what others think of us. Brenda Fraser had been writing to her pen pal Thor Douglas for a while, and she'd been telling him all sorts of things! From being on the chess team (Odyssey doesn't even have a chess team!) to being a water skier! Brenda was discovered though, when Thor Douglas came to town to play in a tennis match. I knew Brenda needed to tell him the truth, from personal experience, but I guess she needed to learn this lesson on her own. Eventually we found out that Thor Douglas was actually not one person, but two, twins! Thor had mixed him and his brother's personalities and interests to try to impress Brenda. Although both Thor and Brenda both lied, the twins were not very forgiving. While it was a hard lesson for Brenda, it turned out to be a great one. We can't fake who we are. The Lord has a unique plan and purpose for each one of us, regardless of what we think or what others think about us.
