The girl felt all of her breath being pushed out of her lungs as she collided with the cold concrete floor. Coughing, she slowly began to push herself up onto her feet before a hand grabbed her by her bobcut hair and shoved her face back down against the rough ground. She felt something wet splash across her face as the cement opened a gash on her cheek. A chorus of groans and cheers went up all around her as the man, who stood several feet taller than her with far larger muscles to boot, stood over her and raised his fists in the air. Slowly rising back to her hands and knees, the girl looked around at the small crowd surrounding the pair.

They were in the middle of a vast abandoned warehouse, with the spectators forming a loose but loud ring around them, gambling money in their fists and alcohol on their breath. Forcing a deep shuddering breath into her aching lungs, the girl turned her gaze to a boy standing a bit beyond and separated from the crowd. Two pairs of grey-green eyes framed in lilac hair locked gazes with each other, before the boy gave an almost imperceptible nod of permission. She could barely hold back her grin as suddenly her aching muscles and sore lungs were filled with newfound energy and strength. Rising to one knee behind her still celebrating opponent, she unleashed a savage blow with all her strength into his wide open weak point. The crowd were silenced in an instant as each and every one of them recoiled at once in sympathy as the fighters triumphant cheers were converted to a high pitched squeak of surprise and pain. Collapsing first to his knees, then weeping onto the floor, there was the briefest of pauses before the obese fellow acting as "referee" for the fight waddled forward and raised the girl's fist into the air.

"The winner," he announced. "Is Joanne Smith!"

The crowd erupted into a chorus of cheers, jeers, catcalls and complaints as the majority of them had just lost a lot of money. While his sister revelled in the attention, the boy slowly sidled his way over to the bookie he'd handed his money to just before the fight had started.

"I took your advice Steven. I had 50 on her this time," he said with a grin.

"Yeah, yeah," the bookie replied, counting out the cash into the kid's hand. "Well Joshua, you'd better take my advice again and grab your sister and get home before this crowd decides the pair of you need to be taught the dangers of prize fighting. Scam."

As the twins made their way back to each other's side however, the low grumble and murmurs from the crowd were suddenly drowned out by the smashing of wood and the sudden wail of sirens in every direction. The small crowd suddenly scattered, every man bolting for a different pre planned exit as police officers began to flood in from the main loading entrance. The twins were no different, both running as fast as they could towards a pair of boarded up windows that, on first glance, were thick and secure. As the slower members of the audience were wrestled to the ground and cuffed, Joanne pulled a pre-loosened board to one side and Joshua jumped out into the dark alleyway between warehouses. Joanne clambered after him, only for the pair to be blinded as several flashlights were suddenly lit and illuminated their faces as well as the silhouettes of several surrounding police officers. The pair froze as they tried to block out the blazing beams with their hands.

"Hold it right there," a voice called from beyond the ring of light. "You're under arrest for illegal gambling and… judging by the short haired ones hands engaging in unsanctioned mutual combat too. Hands behind your… Jo? Jo? Is that you!?"

"Dammit," Joanne muttered under her breath, raising her hands in sync with her brother in a gesture of surrender.

"Hey dad," Joshua replied. "Listen, we can explain…"

A/N- Hey folks, I'm back again. This update is to introduce our protags, but also so I can add in some extra info someone asked me about that could be useful for anyone thinking about sending in a character.

The setting is the 2070s, tech is mostly the same barring there being much more holographic and VR entertainment, and the majority of vehicles are self-driving and electric.

We are in the Part 1-6 universe, but it is AU in that Pucci was beaten with Jolyne and Anasui surviving. Jotaro perished, but the Joestar line continued. No canon characters are still alive by the time of the fic.

The fic will be set entirely within the United States, as the JoBros go on a very long roundabout (hehe) road trip.

Minimal age restrictions on characters, though I would prefer a minimum of 17-18 years old.
