Reaching Jubilife City, I saw that it was more of a town than a city. This was the home of the GTS, The Trainer School, the headquarters of the Pokétch Company, and the Jubilife TV Station. The city does not have a gym, so there was no need for me to go out to battle them to find more pokemon. In route 202, I also found a Bidoof, Starly, (Who brought up some bad memories), and a Kricketot.
The first thing I did was make my way over to the Pokémon Center. There, I got Gible and Shinx looked at. Gible didn't fight with the Nurse and was taken to the back to get better looked at. Shinx on the other hand, refused anyone to touch it. Going as far as to growl at anyone who reached out to it.
The first thing I did, was go to the Trainer school, because I was going to need to learn more about pokemon battles before I could continue on my journey. Walking into the Trainer school, I saw the teacher looking at me, before smiling. "Ah, just in time!" She said as she walked over to me, grabbed me by the arm and pulled me over to the front of the class. "I know this might sound weird, but would you mind having a two-on-two pokemon battle with two of my students?" She asked, where I nodded my head at her as I didn't know what was asked nor what was going on. "Great, you will be going up against two Abra's!" She informed, where she dragged me outside to the back of the school.
Standing on one side of the field, two kids, younger than me, stood on the other side. "Ok... my name is Kota." I introduced, bowing to them slightly.
"Names Harrison, and this is Christine." The boy introduced as he tossed his pokeball out, followed by the girl doing the same thing. "And these are Abra!" He informed, with said pokemon floating in the air, looking like they were asleep.
"Abra." I said as I pulled out my PokeDEX and aimed it at them.
"Abra, the PSI Pokémon. It sleeps for 18 hours a day. Even when awake, it teleports itself while remaining seated. Even while asleep, it maintains a telepathic radar. It teleports when it is threatened." It informed, with me nodding as I now knew what this pokemon was capable of.
"Well, this is going to be our first true fight! Gible, Shinx, come out!" I ordered as I tossed both pokeballs up, with said pokemon appearing on the field.
"GIB!"
"Shin!"
"Wow, a Gible, I've never seen that one!" Both kids said with stars in their eyes.
"Ok, the battle will begin when this rubber ball hits the field!" The teacher said, where Gible and Shinx looked at her, then the Abra's In front of them. "Ready!" She said as she tossed the ball up, where Gible got ready, but Shinx sat down and kept its eyes on the Abra In front of it. Once the ball hit the ground, Gible charged, but Shinx sat still.
"Gible, use sand tomb!" I called out, where said pokemon kicked up the dirt around it, surrounding the Abra.
"Abra, teleport!" Harrison ordered, where said pokemon vanished.
Shinx jumped into a random direction without an order, heading straight for the appearing Abra. "Shinx, use spark!" I said, a bit shocked that Shinx had a keen eye for combat. Watching Shinx spark up, it crashed into Abra, pushing it away. "Gible, use bite!" I ordered, where Gible went to bite the other Abra.
"Abra, teleport away!" Christine ordered, with said pokemon vanishing. Gible on the other hand, smacked its foot into the ground and flew towards the Abra Shinx had hit. Bitting its tale, it swung said pokemon around and then tossed it in a random direction, this being the same spot that the other Abra teleported to, crashing into them and out of the ring.
"That is match!" The teacher ordered, where both Gible and Shinx ran over to me, where I knelt down and rubbed both of their heads at the win. "When a pokemon leaves the ring, it means ring out. However, this rule doesn't always apply to the pokemon battles outside of gyms or tournaments." She informed as the kids looked a little down, puffing their cheeks out at this.
"I hate you and your ugly pokemon!" Christine said as they called back their pokemon before running back inside, crying.
"And as a reward, here." The teacher said as she walked over to me and passed me a small pouch, money. "That is a thank you for the lesson, because sometimes, showing is the best way to teach." She said before walking back into the class, where I looked down at both Gible and Shinx, who were enjoying the head pats that they were getting.
Later
Walking around the city, I nearly bumped into a fisherman, who looked down at me as we both came to a stop. "You a trainer?" He asked, with me nodding. "Here." He said as he took off a wooden fishing pole. "You can have that, to find more pokemon. I just got a new one for my birthday today." He said walking away.
"Wow, thanks!" I said as I took the fishing rod. "Happy birthday!" I called out. "Wonder what kind of pokemon I will find with this!" I said as I found that I could break it down to fit into my bag before continuing on.
Finding Route 203, I came to a stop once I saw my sister leaning against a tree. She looked at me, pushed herself off the tree and stood before me. "Now that we are away from the Professor, and Mother, I want you to become a Pokémon trainer." She said, crossing her arms. "Collect all eight badges, battle the elite four, and finally me. This is the level I want you at!" She said as she tossed out a pokeball, where Garchomp appeared.
"GAARR!?" Said pokemon yelled, shocking me at the appearance of her strongest pokemon.
Pulling out the PokeDEX, I aimed it at Garchomp. "Garchomp, the Sand Viel Pokémon and final evolution of Gible. When it folds up its body and extends its wings, it looks like a jet plane. It flies at sonic speeds equal to a jet fighter plane. It never allows its prey to escape. It is said that when one runs at high speed, its wings create blades of wind that can fell nearby trees." It informed, shocking me.
"Bring out your Pokémon, I want to see how far you have come!" She ordered, making me gulp as this was a beat down.
