On top of Juuban Municipal High School, the Inner Guardians, the Prince's Knights, Usagi, and Mamoru were seeing off the Stars and Princess Kakyuu in civilian clothes.

"Must all of you leave?" Usagi asked.

Kakyuu smiled at Usagi. "Yes. Our friends are waiting for us on our homeworld," she told her.

"We'll create a new world," Yaten promised.

"With the Princess," Taiki said.

Luna gave Yaten a small look of love in her eyes. "Good luck," Luna told him.

Ami, Minako, Zoisite, and Kunzite looked from Yaten and Luna. Ami and Minako worried if it was going to cause a fight. Perhaps it was because they were used to Usagi and Mamoru.

Artemis instantly gave Luna and Yaten an annoyed and jealous look.

"Thank you, Luna," Yaten said and winked at Luna. He knew he was making the white cat jealous, but he couldn't resist teasing Luna into a blush.

Luna blushed and covered her face.

Artemis's eyes widened as he continued to stare at Luna with shock and dismay. "Luna!" he shouted.

Kunzite and Zoisite exchanged a glance, but they didn't say anything. It had been clear to them as well as Jadeite and Nephrite when they and Mamoru were introduced to the Starlights their loves (minus Usagi who they noticed was too into Mamoru, clearly saw he felt the same, and saw their was such love and trust on both sides, even if Mamoru and Usagi were a bit clingy with each other; though they knew they would balance out eventually) and Luna had crushed hard on them during the school year. Though they knew they shouldn't have the right to be jealous because the girls believed they were dead. Though it was hard not to be. But they did try their best.

Usagi and Mamoru eyed Luna and Artemis knowing that they had sounded like them when she and Chibi-Usa had sought his love and attention, and they weren't sure how to take that. They glanced at each other knowingly, smiled, and got lost in each other's eyes.

"Bun-head?" Seiya said as he tore through their thoughts.

When they heard her nickname, Usagi and Mamoru gave each other a small smile from being found out and tore their gaze away from each to look at Seiya. Even when Usagi's nickname was called, it didn't stop Mamoru from pulling Usagi to him from behind. Mamoru could be honest with himself by saying they still needed to find a balance and still needed to cling to each other. He knew he made the right decision when she laid her head against his chest and laid her hands on his. Usagi didn't even try to push Mamoru away because she knew they still needed time.

Seiya watched Usagi and Mamoru carefully. He saw the way they looked at each other, and the way she let him pull her against him and wrap his hands around her. He saw the way she laid her head against him and placed her hands on his letting him know he did the right thing for both of them. "I'm glad your boyfriend is back safely," Seiya said.

"All thanks to your help," Usagi said, closing her eyes, and enjoying Mamoru's arms around her and her back against his warm body. "I was able to hang in there because of you." At that moment, she opened them then showed him how her eyes were filled with confidence.

Seiya eyes had softened when he looked at her. "Bun-head. I'll never forget you," Seiya promised her.

Usagi gave him a small smile. "Yeah… We'll always be friends…" she told him.

All at once, as if on cue, Princess Kakyuu, Taiki, and Yaten started laughing while Seiya's mouth gaped open wide. They couldn't believe what Usagi just said; though, none of the Starlights or Princess Kakyuu were surprised by the comment because it was so like her. It had been evident to everyone who knew Usagi that she only had eyes for Mamoru. They definitely had taken note of how even after everyone was in their civilian clothes how close Usagi and Mamoru are. They thought it was because she spent most of the school year thinking he was overseas studying and ignoring her; when in reality, he had been killed by Galaxia before he was even able to make it to America. Ami had mentioned to the Starlights, Princess Kakyuu, and the Prince's Knights (the latter had a better idea than the first two as they remembered centuries ago) that they were always like this, always drawn together like a magnet. Usagi had such a beautiful light, but it was Mamoru's love and Usagi's confidence in that love that made her light warm. She told them whenever she had an upgrade it was because of their love.

"Come on…" Seiya said as one hand covered half his face feeling very embarrassed. He figured that Usagi would have figured it out by now, and at least would have given a better let down.

"She's got you there," Taiki told him while trying to compose himself and failing horribly. He had to admit laughing more at Seiya than at Usagi.

Mamoru stood still trying not to give his reaction away. He understood Usagi well enough to know she wasn't trying to be oblivious. She just didn't understand how much her light attracted others and made friends with such ease because of that light. It was one of the many reasons he loves her. He glanced over at both sides of him at his own Knights who he could sense they understood what was going on and apparently remembered their training well enough to keep a neutral expression and be wise enough to stay out of this. It was probably for the best, he thought. He knew her friends would tease her.

"Huh?" Usagi stated, innocently confused.

Makoto laid her hand against her head and gave a look of embarrassment.

Ami turned to look over at Usagi. "She doesn't get it," Ami said quietly to Zoisite.

Makoto sighed and looked over at Usagi when Nephrite laid a hand on her shoulder. "She totally doesn't…"

Usagi turned slightly in Mamoru's arms to stare at Ami. "You're teasing me too, Ami!?" Usagi asked, shocked.

Ami just gave her shy slow smile.

"I know," Zoisite whispered into her ear when he took her into his arms. He was only loud enough for her to hear and nobody could see he had agreed with her statement. He knew that she knew that was her only comment out of this as she didn't like teasing as much as the others. Even though he did remember his training, he wanted to make sure Ami was aware he understood the significance.

"You're too dense," Minako told her with absolute sincerity. Minako took Kunzite's hand into hers.

"What did I say wrong?" Usagi asked, staring at Minako. Usagi was still really confused at what she had said.

"You should know already," Rei told her as Jadeite laid his hand on the small of her back.

"I'm asking you because I don't," Usagi complained. She didn't understand why her friends understood, but she didn't.

"You'll never understand for the rest of her life," Rei said. Rei wasn't ever going to tell her what she said wrong.

"You're so mean, Rei!" Usagi yelled at her.

Everyone, except for Mamoru and Usagi, had started laughing. However, Mamoru squeezed around her middle to give Usagi comfort. "I love you," he whispered into her ear and felt her squeezed his wrists in response, accepting his comfort and his love.

When the laughing ceased, Kakyuu said, "Now, let's get going." She walked over to the balcony.

The Starlights followed Kakyuu.

Seiya stopped and turned to look at Mamoru hugging Usagi (who looked like she was very content in his arms). She was short compared to him (he imagined even in heels), but the way he stood he was ready at a moment's notice to always be by her side, fight at her side. Even so, he clearly saw why Usagi and Mamoru were meant for each other and realized why he never had a chance with her. They are soulmates, and even if they are a little fragile and clingy at the moment, Seiya knew they would bounce back, and Minako and Rei confirmed as much to him. They had told them they needed a little bit of time. "Mamoru," he said.

"Yes?" Mamoru asked. Without a thought of it and something he hadn't done since Usagi rescued him and the Sailor Guardians from the cauldron, he conjured a rose and gave it to Usagi, and when she took it without hesitation, squeezed his wrist in response, and heard her giggle, he realized they were starting to find their balance and was thankful for that, but he still wasn't quite ready to let her out of his arms just yet. However, he knew he would always conjure her roses as it always brought a simple joy to her.

Seiya shook his head at the simple gesture that had brought such delight to Usagi and watched her sniff and twirl the rose using her fingers. Neat trick, he thought and wondered how many times he had done that in the past. He realized that Mamoru could conjure a rose a million times, and Usagi would enjoy it every time as it was a gift from him. "You've got to protect her from now on," Seiya told him.

Seiya and Mamoru stared at each other for a moment as if they were studying each other. Mamoru knew Seiya had feelings for Usagi, and he really couldn't blame him. He felt the same way about her. Though Seiya may not have realized it, Mamoru knew whose words he was using.

Kunzite kept his eye on this Seiya. He didn't flirt with the other girls the way he did with Princess Serenity (or Usagi he was told that was her name in this life), and he didn't like it. When he told Prince Endymion (or Mamoru he was told that his name in this life) about his concerns, he was told it was appreciated, but he knew Usagi would take care of it herself. He also didn't like the way this Seiya had his eyes on him, looking directly at Mamoru. He felt someone squeeze his hand and turned to look at Minako (he thought her name in this life was perfect for her, beauty indeed); somehow she was always able to sense the turmoil within him and how it warred with the fact he had a duty to protect his Master. He nodded and smiled at her, but he knew she was telling him he didn't have to worry about this. He heard what two of his favorite people had said, but he didn't have to like it.

"Just kidding. Some smug bastard told me that before," Seiya said with semblance. The same Guardian that had told him to protect their princess had also told him that Mamoru would always protect Usagi.

Mamoru nodded. He knew which smug bastard Seiya was talking about, and he knew Haruka would always make sure that Usagi always had someone protecting her (whether it was him, the Inner Guardians, the Outer Guardians). He knew the Starlights had been a last resort, and Haruka didn't have a choice and had enlisted them to protect Usagi. "I understand," he said.

Seiya believed Mamoru did understand. He turned but was still looking over his shoulder to keep his eye on the couple. He could sense there wasn't anyone better for Usagi than Mamoru. He knew that Ami was correct. Mamoru would never hurt her light; he would make it warm. He waved good-bye. "See you later, Bun-head," Seiya said.

Taiki had finally gotten a hold of himself. He looked back at the group. He saw Zoisite was still holding on to Ami. He knew how smart Ami was and he got the sense Zoisite was the strategist in his group as well, and made for good company for her. He believed Zoisite would give her the challenge she quietly craved without stomping on her spirit or her heart. "Take care…" he said.

Seiya still had his eye on Usagi and felt a sense of calm as she still twirled the rose between her fingers absently while she watched them walk away. "Bye," he said.

Kakyuu smiled at Usagi. "Thank you very much," she said.

Yaten winked at Luna again. He was mostly teasing because he knew it drove Artemis crazy, but he didn't mind the blushing coming from Luna. He secretly enjoyed the reactions from both cats. "Bye-bye…"

As Princess Kakyuu and the Starlights started their way of teleportation, Usagi, Mamoru, the Inner Guardians, and the Prince's Knights said their good-bye's.

Nephrite slid his arms around Makoto's side as she waved to them. "We won't forget you," Makoto said.

Zoisite still held Ami in his arms. "Have a safe trip," Ami told them.

Kunzite kept his hand in Minako's, and he could sense his love would miss them. "Come over anytime," Minako said in a melancholy tone.

Usagi, still being held by Mamoru and still holding the rose, looked over at Princess Kakyuu and the Starlights. "We'll be waiting for you," Usagi said.

Mamoru knew Usagi would miss them and knew it would be Seiya she would miss most of all.

Jadeite had laid his hand on Rei's shoulder. "Good bye," she said.

Usagi turned enough to be able to wrap her arms around Mamoru's neck and lay the side of her head against his chest to feel his heartbeat. She, Mamoru, and the rest of her and Mamoru's friends watched them leave and become shooting stars. Thank you, Seiya, she thought as she and Mamoru continued to embrace.

(Outer Senshi by Haruka car)

Hotaru watched the sky as she watched Princess Kakyuu and her Starlights dove across the night sky. "Oh! Look! A shooting star," Hotaru said excitedly.

Setsuna smiled and knew Hotaru well enough to ask, "What did you wish for?"

Hotaru gave Setsuna a serious look. "It's a secret…" Hotaru said, but she turned to Setuna. "What about you?"

Setsuna smiled at her, and she thought two people could play that game. "It's a secret," she told her.

Hotaru started to become upset and crossed her arms. "That's not fair," she stated.

Michiru watched the shooting stars while she was in Haruka's arms. "They're going home, aren't they?" she asked.

Haruka smiled as Michriu stayed in their arms. "Yeah… They're no longer shooting stars. They're proper stars in the night sky," Haruka said.

Michiru smiled up at Haruka. "Yeah," she said.

Hotaru turned to look at her other two guardians. "What did you two wish for?" Hotaru had asked Michiru and Haruka.

Michiru smiled at Hotaru. "There's nothing we needed to wish for you. We're happier than ever. Isn't that right, Haruka?" Michiru asked and then turned to look over at Haruka.

Haruka smiled at Michiru in answer. "Yeah," Haruka answered, knowing that every wish and dream they had and will have will come true.
