It was a quiet perfect World.
this was what Courier thought when she looked upon the strip from the glass in lucky 38 to admire the world she and Elijah had created, now she was completely safe, she had all the time on the world, no one would bother her, she no longer had do to worry about assasins, spies, saboteurs, trespassers or any type of filth mankind can create. Think Tank was also completely free with their experiments. Even now they were dumping both of their failed and succesful ''products'' to Mojave, thanks to the vending machines, she had access to infinite supplies, Courier had placed a few of them around the strip and Lucky 38 and planned to spread them, holograms and securitrons provided security and the cloud preserved and protected them. She and Elijah planned to upgrade them as well
Truly she was the queen of everything.
The Mojave was no-man's land, with red cloud, only soulless securitrons and ghosts could survive as they roamed around in this dead land, it was like the underworld in one of those the pre-war religions,it was waste of nothingness that she rules, completely devoid of loyal subjects, friends, cheers, life. all she had was an empty tower placed in the middle of the mojave and and so high so that she can see what a failure she has become, she was just there, merely blankly staring, almost dead like, looking out over the red cloud, alone with her thoughts.
Truly she was the queen of nothing.
Courier took a step to the elevator to return her suite, she was planning to upgrade the holograms, to dramatically increase their range and AI, and to control them remotely from a terminal, if she could do that, well... she would be invincible, even though she kinda already was.
Just when she was about to tinker further with the experimental emitter, one of the securitrons suddenly rolled with it's wheel near her, now that was odd indeed... then securitron's face suddenly changed to yes man.
''Hi! I know you are very busy as always, but I have very exciting news!'' Yes Man reported happily as always, with that ''happy face'' on his screen.
It must be very exciting news indeed, these days Yes Man rarely bothered her, especially with a hijacked securitron.
''Huh, let's hear it then'' she said in a barely interested tone,as she refocused back to the emitter, she was a bit annoyed that he interrupted her very important experiment like that, so she just wanted to get it over with.
''If I told you that securitrons recently detected bunch of Legion cosplayers near the Quarry Junction, and they arrived there with a ''Gate'', and some of them are riding pre-war animals that is supposed to be extinct, would you believe me? I know! I wouldn't believe me either!''
The Courier, who survived being shot in the head (twice), who bested the Mojave and both the Legion and NCR, who conquered and joined the Big Mountain, who made the Sierra Madre her fortress and weapon, who defeated the Divide, who met the Burned Man himself, and who survived many dangerous encounters, could only say:
''...Excuse me?''
