The world faded from Elli's view again, just as it had down not even twenty-four hours earlier before she realized she was home once again.
She took a deep breath as she walked through her apartment, hoping to see any signs of something that had changed over the past few years.
As she walked through her apartment, she wasn't able to spot anything that would indicate that George Stacy was alive after they'd cured the Lizardman. She sighed as she opened a bottle of wine and sat down on her sofa, pouring a glass.
"What are you doing, babe?" a familiar voice filled the room as she moved her glass to her lips.
Elli was confused as she glanced up to see Captain George Stacy walking toward her, "Excuse me?" was the only question she could muster as she saw him for the first time in a year, alive and not as a figment of her imagination.
His expression turned to one of confusion as he responded, "You're pregnant," he stated as if it was obvious before he took a seat next to her, pulling the glass out of her hands.
"I think I'd know if I was having a baby," she replied, raising her brow as she took in the sight of her long-lost lover sitting beside her, "I told you that I'm pregnant?" she asked as she wondered how much of her world had changed since fixing the Lizardman.
George gave her a questioning look as he replied, "You told me a few days ago. Are you feeling alright?" he inquired as he placed his hand on her forehead.
Elli let out a small laugh as she pulled out her phone to text Peter, "I'm feeling fine. I'm just having some trouble remembering the past few days," she added as she moved until she was on top of George, straddling him, "Is this how we got into this mess?" she whispered as she began to grind herself on him.
"It was something like this," he gaped as he reached up and grasped her body, holding her close to his own.
Before they could continue with their reunion, for Ellie anyway, her phone buzzed with Peter's response, "I can come to see if you're pregnant. Is now a good time?"
Elli let out a giggle before she replied, "Give us thirty minutes," she answered before she placed her phone down and continued her assault on George Stacy, her hands running through his blonde hair while she ground on his erection through their clothes.
"I've missed you," she whispered in George's ear as she continued to move her body over his, enjoying the small gasps escaping his lips.
He smiled against her lips as he pulled her into a passionate kiss, "It hasn't been that many days since we last saw each other," he corrected her, though he had no idea that it had truly been years.
Elli let her lips curl into a smile as she resisted the urge to resume their kiss, "I suppose it's just felt like a long time. Maybe it's the pregnancy hormones," she added as she began to warm up to the idea of carrying his child.
The End
