Jade went into her closet, pulled out a royal blue top, bright green skirt, and black backless slippers.
Jade emerged from her closet with her desired outfit in hand.
Jade put her outfit on her bed and began changing from her riding outfit.
Jade first took her riding boots off, followed by her pants, followed by her jacket, followed by her shirt, followed by her helmet, followed by her socks.
Jade still had her chemise and bloomers on.
So, Jade pulled three petticoats on over her bloomers, slipped her feet into her slippers, put her legs through her skirt, and put her top on.
Jade then went downstairs for breakfast.
When she got to the dining room, Jade's heart sank right into her shoes when she discovered who the breakfast guest was.

"Good morning, Jade." Cordelia said, she was feeding Jade's baby brothers and sister.
Jade wanted to pull her father aside.
"Dad," Jade asked. "do you think I could talk to you for a moment?"
"Sure thing, Sweetheart." Liang said to Jade.
Jade and her father went out into the entrance hall of the embassy.
"Dad," Jade said. "I don't think Cordelia is the right woman for you."
Liang looked at his daughter, Jade could see a very stern expression on her father's face.
