Chapter 1 "The Angels Metropolis"
Bayonetta and Ghost were heading to Vigrid via train. "So, I asked around, and some whale in Europe is trying to fence a huge rock on the black market. He calls it the "Right Eye," saying it's part of some set called "The Eyes of the World." Fits the bill of what you're after, don't it?" Enzo said.
"I guess." Ghost said.
"Now here's the funny bit. The stone passes around the halls of power for hundreds of years, vanishes, and then the black market goes white hot for the thing. But the seller wanted an arm and a leg for it, to the point no one could stomach the price." Enzo said.
"So back goes the stone." Ghost guessed what Enzo was going to say next.
"But not before everyone figures out where the guy is!" Enzo said.
"You're gonna enjoy doing this one I bet. I love stickin' it to the rich." Enzo said.
"I bet." Ghost said.
"Of course, when you do, don't forget your old buddy Enzo stuck his neck out on this one. Slide me a few fazoles out of the rich guy's pocket for my troubles, right!? Anyways, you two better get going before the trail gets cold. Off to the middle-of-nowhere. Paradise of Europe. Vigrid." Enzo said.
On a train both Bayonetta and Ghost were in purgatorio so they wouldn't interfere with humans Bayonetta was sleeping she saw tons of flashbacks before waking up "More flashbacks?" Ghost asked, coolly.
"Welcome to Vigrid, our final stop." the train conductor said.
"Entry Visas are required of all travelers. Please submit your Vigrid issued Entry Visa for inspection upon disembarking. Please make sure you take all your valuable belongings with you." the train conductor said.
"Let's roll." Ghost said.
The two got out of their seats and walked towards the end of the car. Bayonetta stopped herself as she heard a voice "You have arrived at last, my dear. The time has come to awaken The Eyes of the World. Fear not, my dear child. Such a beautiful young lady you've become. I'll always see to it no harm comes to you." the voice said.
"What was that?" Ghost asked.
They arrived at their destination "Here we are." Ghost said.
"So… This is supposed to be paradise?" Bayonetta asked.
"I guess." Ghost said.
"Let's roll." he said.
They exited the train station and found a hidden entrance that leads to secret tunnels "I bet everyone didn't know about the secret tunnels." Ghost said.
They fought some angels and found a device that took them from one level to another they entered the Vigrid courtyard and found a portal with Rodin standing above it. "I knew it. This town's teeming with heaven's little helpers. It's making my buddies downstairs awfully nervous." Rodin said.
"And your point is?" Bayonetta asked.
"Some places in this world are closer to Paradiso or Inferno." Rodin said.
"We know our town lives a little closer to both of them." Ghost said.
"The Vigridians, they got a special air about 'em. They're closer to Paradiso than anyone should ever be. And that shit just plain creeps me out." Rodin said.
"Heh, I guess I'm gonna have to set up shop here and score me some halos." Rodin said.
"What are we bounty hunters to you?" Ghost asked.
"These stupid rings are worth a fortune back home. Since it seems you're spoiling for a fight, if you come across any of these bring 'em to me and I'll hook you up." Rodin said.
Bayonetta sigh "Another one looking to line his pockets." she said.
"Starting to see why you and Enzo are best friends." Ghost said.
"Real cute you two. But let's get one thing straight, your fights are yours alone. I'm only here to watch my handiwork in action." Rodin said.
"You get one thing straight. I'm not the slightest bit interested in the fact that you made these guns. If you get in my way, I will, how do the Americans put it?" Bayonetta asked.
"Bust a cap in yo' ass." Ghost said.
"Oh yes thank you." Bayonetta said.
Rodin leaves and returns to his shop. The witch and boy enter Vigrid Central Station they entered a flower garden and saw the flowers bloom. Angels appeared the Affinities and Applaud arrived. Bayonetta and Ghost prepared themselves for a fight.
The two fought the angels Bayonetta used her wicked weaves attacks. Ghost couldn't do anything Bayonetta could do only he was good at was Bullet Arts and fist to fist combat.
A angel Second Sphere showed up to reinforce the others it was Beloved. Bayonetta and Ghost damaged it by shooting the back which weakened it greatly. Bayonetta summoned her demon Gomomorah and the demon ate the angel.
They continued onwards and found an area with two bridges but Bayonetta stopped her flashback to her past. She was wearing a scrappy outfit and armed with two pistols that were not Scarborough Fair two witches ran past her "What are you doing!? Let's go!" one of the witches said.
She noticed a two headed dragon angel that was fighting them. Bayonetta and the witches hold their grounds but the angel ate the other two witches. Bayonetta successfully fends off the angel. She snapped back to reality "Bayonetta. You okay?" Ghost asked.
"Yeah I'm fine." she said.
They walk over on a bridge a Beloved attacked them it began tearing the bridge apart it threw the bridge with the two heroes on it. They jumped off the bridge and onto a ledge Ghost did a superhero landing while Bayonetta poses "What are you doing?" Ghost asked.
They faced the Beloved again Bayonetta summoned Gomorrah again and the demon smashed the angel's head.
"Brutal." Ghost said.
