A/N: I'm gonna make this story take place during Prompt #4's story :)

Just so ya know.

"Tink! What are you doing?"

Kal turned around to see Oskar Reteep standing by one of the small shops in Rysentown.

"Um...nothing?"

"In the words of Jill Gofty, 'You lie!'." Oskar paid the shopkeeper for some treats. "Where's Janner and Sara?"

Kal snickered. "Probably trying to escape me. I just got out of some meetings."

Oskar chuckled. "Well, have a nice day Tink."

Kal rolled his eyes. He didn't like how Oskar still called him "Tink".

Oskar hurried down the streets of Rysentown. He went down Main Street, and turned onto River Street. His ship was docked and waiting for him.

"G'day Mister Reteep." The captain, called Captain Barry, said tipping his hat.

Oskar smiled. "Good day to you, Captain."

The captain went back to working his ship with his crew. Oskar jiggled down to his cabin, and left his bag of snacks on the ship. Today, Oskar would head back to Ban Rona, since he was head librarian now. But he still had a few hours before his ship left, so he was going to go exploring.

Oskar hurried out of the ship, and went into Rysentown again. He asked around where the nearest cave was, and everyone said that it was west of the castle, in a small forest over there.

Oskar decided to walk to the forest, since he was too big for a horse or a donkey. He walked for around half an hour before he made it to the edge of the forest. There were two horses tied up by the edge, and Oskar recognized them as Janner and Sara's horses. He decided to take a different route into the forest, in order not to disturb the couple.

Oskar chuckled thinking about how he and Kal both didn't understand love. Neither one of them had ever fallen in love (though Kal was still young).

He walked a little more south along the border of the forest, until he deemed it that he was far from the couple. He began his search for the cave.

Many people in Anniera knew the cave as The Cave of Light, because it was filled with fireflies, and a good amount of sunlight seeped into it. So, Oskar thought it would be a nice place to explore.

He found the cave within minutes of going into the woods. He was intrigued by the strange markings found on the tree, and took lot's of notes in his tiny notebook. The markings seemed very old.

Oskar decided to venture into the cave, and when he went inside, he was shocked by what he saw.

Lot's of markings and drawings on the walls.

There were old wood boxes littered around.

There were old animal bones scattered across the floor.

And then there was a book.

Oskar tripped over bones and boxes trying to get to the book. He grabbed it, and admired its cover.

"Toothy cow leather." He muttered to himself, wiping the book clear of dust. He flipped through its pages, and found that it was written in Old Hollish.

I'll have to take this to either Nia or Janner. Oskar thought. Nia had taught Janner Old Hollish, in order that the language would still be known by some.

Oskar was wondering who to take it to when a voice startled him.

"Mr. Reteep? What're you doing here?"

Oskar turned around to find Janner leaning on the cave wall, with Sara right next to him.

"Ah! Janner! Just the person I wanted to see." Oskar held the book up. He caught both Janner and Sara's attention.

"What's this?" Janner asked, taking the book from Oskar.

"I found it here in this very cave! Look at the markings on these walls! I've never seen these before."

Janner and Sara looked at the markings.

"They're just like the ones on the tree, Janner." Sara said, tracing her hand on the markings.

They blushed at the memory.

"Are you saying there's more markings?" Oskar asked.

Sara nodded her head.

"Oh good gravy! I'll need to check those out."

"Mr. Reteep, I'm gonna need to keep this book." Janner said.

"Why? I was hoping to do some research on it." Oskar said.

"This is one of the First Books!"

Oskar looked at it in wonder. "So, a third one has been found. Amazing! I'll have to do some research on their origin."

"There are many legends of how these came to be. Some think that they were written by Dwayne and Gladys in the First Epoch. Some think that the Maker himself wrote them, and gave them to the First Fellows, who, once Anniera rose, gave them to the Throne Warden's. Some think that Ouster Will wrote them, and that they hold the secrets to evil." Janner flipped to the first page in the book. "This one says that it is the 5th book."

"And if you have 2 other ones, then there could be at least 2 other books missing." Sara said.

Janner nodded his head. "Yeah, so these must be guarded carefully."

Oskar looked at the book. "Alright. In the words of Carol Fettle, 'I wish I didn't have to part with it, but for the greater good, I shall.'."

Janner smiled. "Are you gonna stay here, or leave with us?"

Oskar smiled. "I'll stay."

Sara walked over by Janner, and took his hand as they walked out. Oskar smiled at the two.

For now, he'd have to stick to learning about Non-Annieran artifacts.
