At the Hanshaw residence later on that afternoon, Ruby found her mom in the apple orchard near their fruit garden.
"Hi, Mom." Ruby said.
"Hi, Ruby, what's going on?" Helen asked.
"I have a surprise for you, Mom." Ruby answered.
"You do," Helen asked. "what is it, Ruby?"
"I'll give you a hint," Ruby told Helen. "don't fix dinner tonight."
At the same time at the Embassy of Satu, Jade found her dad in the nursery changing Yue Lan's diaper.
"Hi, Dad." Jade said.
"Hi, Jade, what's going on?" Liang asked.
"I have a surprise for you, Dad." Jade answered.
"You do," Liang asked. "what is it, Jade?"
"I'll give you a hint," Jade told Liang. "I won't be fixing dinner tonight."
That night, Ruby and Jade led Helen and Liang to the door of Lorenzo's Italian All-You-Can-Eat Buffet.
Helen and Liang thought a fancy Italian dinner was a wonderful surprise indeed.
